Guild Wars 2

Honestly, I understand as someone who has missed a large portion of the last few years that it’s nice to be able to get that stuff but this feels too much like just another way it’s becoming just like every other mmo where you can just throw money at the game and be just like everyone else. They were announced as items that can ONLY be gotten during that time, much like the dragon wings which you still cannot buy. I personally would much rather be able to do the events. That was the best living world imo but since we can’t it’s just one of those things that should encourage people to be there for the events rather than catch up later with money. I helped numerous guildies through that event and it was painstaking at time, as well as my own farming just to try and get the extra special stuff and it took a long time. Not all were lucky enough to get some of those things easily. The other side is that there are TONS of items that people have been screaming that they want back so they can get them too that ArenaNet seems to be deaf to those cries. Why not do it to all items in the game as such rather than just the big items that someone like me covets because of the amount of effort that went in to get it? Now the auction house is just flooded with this stuff that was not purchasable ever previously. I feel like they’re just becoming a money grab. Another expansion – pay a lot of money for it every time, miss content? pay us money you can have access, want this super cool stuff that everyone else had to fight against entire maps who were un-cooperative just to get the first part of the event done? just buy this box and you’ll get it.. idk. I’m losing respect for a game I loved even a year ago because it feels like every other pay to have everything game.

Does it not make ANYBODY else that fought through the Scarlet’s War content angry that just any new kid with money can just get the same items that I busted my butt for? What about the countless hours of farming that we spent trying to collect shards and blades and all the million trillion pieces that it took to make the spinal blade back items with the colors. Also, the scarlet’s kiss and rainbow items being so easily obtainable if you just throw boatloads of money into the gem store sucks pretty hard too. Honestly, I feel like it’s not worth staying up to date on the content to get rare or exclusive stuff because someday I’ll just be able to buy it.

Maybe its just selfish but my time is valuable and I chose to spend it here so that I could get exclusive and cool stuff for my character and now that time counts for nothing because I cant show my battle scars of playing this game with pride since EVERYBODY has access to be just like me. If that’s the case, just give me a pair of the holographic dragon wings for like 3000 gems so that I too can fill in the missing special event items with ease.

Those fights were excruciating at times and now those hard-earned battles are diminished. And the story lines we had to do to GET to those battles… smh

This may have already been answered at some point but I was unable to find anything on it. According to the GW2 wiki, the pages mentioned that Overgrowth was the Red team, Frostreach was the Green team, and Badlands was the Blue team. I’m on a NA server, and our colors are OG – Green, FR – Blue, BL – Red. Is this something that differs if you’re on EU servers or did they change the color associations at a later date after it was released and nobody had updated the Wiki? I’m rather confused.

The Wiki now reflects the NA color associations, but if it’s different for EU players then it should be stated as such I’m thinking. Any thoughts?

How about this question – I’m super glad that this plan was revised – however, I have worked very hard to get the THREE tags I currently hold…. Can I get my gold back?

I now have 200 gold invested in something that I neither care (about multiple colors) or need if they’re going account bound. I could have used that to buy the excessively overpriced cultural tier 3 (Rare) skins. : /

This has actually been going on since before the marionette event – it just wasn’t nearly as often. Typically, I’ve had to log out of the game to character select and back in. Others during the Marionette battle have found that it reset if you were killed & rallied at a waypoint, others have had it work simply by waypointing alone.. but yeah.. it’s highly annoying and VERY disappointing to have it happen now that you’ve FINALLY made it to the main map rather than Overflow so you can fight alongside your guildies.. pfft.. overflows… -.-

Our guild has been having multiple issues with various points on the guild trek list of points. Some issues have been that the point we’re to activate is not where it should be nor anywhere near the area it should be at which point – sometimes randomly spamming the “F” key will allow completion of that site but usually does not. We also have issues with the list acting weird. Tonight, our list had a section at the top of points that are unclaimed, below that the grayed out (completed) points, then beneath that were more unclaimed points that had not been in the list when we originally started the trek.

We are wasting a lot of influence, and time in not being able to complete these and it’s extremely frustrating.. multiple bug reports in game have been sent with screenshots (but there’s NO category/sub category to submit this under I.E. Guild/Guild missions)

This has been ongoing for over a month now and it’s rather discouraging to both the guild operators, and members. Please FIX IT!

I sent in a bug report in game for this already but discovered these forums so I’m hoping that maybe this will be easier to find. I went to the guild promoter to buy the 1,000 influence for 2g and bought several of them. The first few went through just fine but the last one I bought should have put me over the 10,000 threshold to purchase the next upgrade but it never did. I had to borrow the gold from someone to re-buy it so I could get started on the extremely lengthy process of building the research upgrade. The guild name is The Original Ret [TOR] I don’t know if that helps but.. there you go.
