Guild Wars 2

I know everyone has different suggestions on how to resolve WvW issues and/or the large queue issue and mine is just one among many.

Of course as mentioned by many people in many threads, it’ll settle a bit in a few weeks.

However, my suggestion would be a new map. We’ve had the same maps for quite some time now in WvW while PvP and PvE have gotten new maps. I think we need a second “server neutral” map like EBG. Sure low pop servers might be stretched a little more thin, but overall I think it’d breath some new life into WvW and bring in new players or bring back old players without excluding or making it more difficult for “daily” WvW players to get in.

Alternatively I think on the one hand raising the cap would help, but on the other I know this would GREATLY increase lag, disadvantage low pop servers, and make the NPCs all but useless even with scaling. So I think the map idea is definitely the better idea.

Maybe we could have a jungle or lava/volcano map to go with the new(ish) PvE content. At this point I’d even settle for a mostly water map despite wate combat kinda sucking something fierce.

I’m on Mag, but I’ve been on Mag since launch. To be fair, as someone else on Mag mentioned, the q’s were something like 125, 10, 8, and 14. I just happened to get into the 125 ebg because I knew I would be busy for a bit and could wait in the meantime.

Normally, I would have just went into one of the Borderlands and hung around there.

I’m good with there being so many people. I just logged in when I came in from work and entered queue while I was doing stuff around the house, then each time I would pass the pc, I would just tap ‘w’ or ‘s’ to keep it from timeout disconnect.

It just sucked for my situation specifically that I finally got to spot 8 and was ready then new build forced re-entering the queue at a further position, then the network dump which caused me to be almost where I had started.

I popped in queue at 125. I knew it’d be a long wait and that was fine. Waited the 2.5 hrs and was finally at position 8. “New Build Available”. FML..

So I relog and update, get in and queue’s 41, not terrible. Get in queue. Network error.

Try to rush back in, queue is 95.

I didn’t even mind waiting the 2+hrs the first time, but the rest was just… too much.

It’s still out there….

On an unrelated storage request, I’d many unreasonable things for a Dedicated Chef storage. I created a guild back near beta that has two bank slots, almost entirely full of random food crafted material.

Most of the rest of the crafter materials are pretty manageable.

+1 for back in. the hamsters are fed and happy for the moment.

I’ll throw my hat in, got the same thing. I had a few hard stutters in Queensdale, transitioned to the next map and was trying to go into a story instance and got an InstanceCreated error that I submitted. Tried relogging and got a couldn’t reach login server. was able to sign into client, but the error showed at char select.

Just as a final update here. After much toil, GM Might Llama was able to respond to my ticket and get me taken care of. I think there was a miscommunication of what I expected as a resolution.

Not specifically a GW issue, but I’ve noticed Overwolf has issues recognizing the 64bit client. Though I wonder if naming it the same would help. I don’t know how many people actually use Overwolf, but I figured it was worth noting.

same, logging into the forums is usually a good start. maybe just a bit longer?

Ah well. Anyway so I just beat Mark II again, still no chest or Mistward Legging Panel. Guess I’ve done all I can. I’ve submitted here, submitted a ticket ( 1966410 ), and submitted an in-game bug. Fortunately my Rev is kind of on the back burner for a while until I finish getting my last elite mastered.

It’s not even that I’m in a rush to get the item, just an acknowledgement and a “we’re busy but we’re looking into it” would be nice instead of a cookie cutter submit to all these places you’re already submitted.

I guess the issue it more uncommon than I thought since I still appear to be the only one reporting on it. I still wonder what became of the other person who had the issue at the same time as me. Well, if the thread goes dead again I’ll just let it sink.

As a random note after previewing this, I think the censoring is a touch sensitive. In the pasting of the message from anet there’s a “kitten” replacing a word meaning to determine something, but the first half of the word is a word which refers to someone’s rear.

Just as an update on this. As of just finishing Mark II 5 min ago I still have yet to receive the Mistward Legging Panel. I still haven’t seen a chest on the ground but I do get the pop-ups for the event chests there.

I guess no one else has really had this issue so I may have to just resort to submitting a ticket.

There was a period of time during which this worked, after I switched to the 64-bit client.

So, something else has changed, beyond simply using the 64-bit client.

Update: this happens for me with the 32-bit client as well. Definitely not specific to the 64-bit client.

I’m getting the same thing, have been for I think a day or two.

As an update, I just launched this quest on the 64bit client with no issue on a new char. Maybe finally resolved?

Experiencing exact same issue. However, why not just in the meantime do this story step on 32bit client and then go back to 64bit?

I’ll throw my hat in for this. I tried 4 times 4 crashes. I switched to 32-bit and did the quest no problem then next time I launched went back to 64-bit

I did a search but didn’t find a topic on this already. I’ve heard a few others say they were having this issue as well which is why I’m putting it here.

Over multiple days spaced out, I’ve tried killing the Mark II to get the chest with the item for the revenant armor piece. Each time I receive no chest for it.

For a bit of back history, I DID get a chest from the Mark II after HoT dropped but it was before I unlocked the collection to actually get the piece.

Even if it was some conflict where it thought I had got the armor piece already (once per account), I would think I would still get the chest once a day just sans the collectible.

I’ll try again tomorrow to check, but I’m not expecting much. As I said I’ve heard a few other people mention having this issue but there wasn’t a topic and other players recommended reporting it so I figured I would just put it here so others who experienced it could contribute.

Actually I managed to get it at the one by the door. It wasn’t there for rank I but showed up when it got to rank II

Awesome! Honestly, getting the 400 points can be fun the first time, meh the second and third time, and just plain annoying after that…

Now my oft-played alts at least have a shot to use their specs before the next expansion.

Yeah, I have 11 chars 8 of which are lv80, one with 100% regular wolrd, one that’s 74, and two dawdling at 55. I really wasn’t looking forward to getting 400. In fact I wasn’t going to, there was no point. There are only two or three elites I even want. Basically I have one char for each class, plus extra for ones I want the elite for but it wouldn’t work with my current builds.

Casual and lazy has nothing to do with it, at least for me. I simply wanted to have things to do in the worlds so I could enjoy the specialization. I would have no issue getting 400, I just see no merit in it given that the elite specializations are only moderately better than standard skills.

I saw! This is exceedingly good news imo. I was hoping for 200 hero points, but I’m completely ok with 250. I have a char with 100% map (Been there done that) and he had just over 200 points. I felt 100% map plus another 20 group hero points was just to much. By the time you got elite up and useful there wouldn’t really be much map to enjoy it on.

About 50/50 between world and HoT seemed like it would leave a good amount left to do hence the 200 idea. But another 5 group HP I’m good with that
