I think that Necro’s are best at roaming and really not quite that much like Elementalist.

A necro using core GW2 you have a few options and can use range and power to your advantage tacked on to your 2nd Health bar (Death Shroud) or you can use conditions and/or pets to your advantage as well. HoT advantages allow you to use your 2nd health bar (Reaper shroud) as mele and still balance your build to cover things that Necromancers do well as roamers, but that doesn’t mean it won’t come with its disadvantages as well.. Sadly Necro’s have issues with speed.. you will never be quite as mobile as other Professions and builds when it comes to speed, and if you do compensate for lack of speed using traits and skills to ensure you maintain speed, you will have to give up something in order to do so.

Regardless, Necromancers and Elementalist are worlds apart so don’t neglect trying one out if you like to roam and cause havoc.

Delete your Warrior, Guardian, Elementalist and Mesmer, and just create a Thief and Necromancer.

I really did (and do) believe they read the forums. Yet if they don’t process the information on such QoL suggestions until a streamer comments, it may be time to start lobbying streamers to mention issues of concern.

Sad part is, and maybe I’m wrong, but the streamers like Wooden Potatoes and the like do not seem to be streaming nearly as frequently on GW2 lately, and have seemingly given up on this game as many of us are.

I agree with Illconceived Was Na, and think they are spot on with their
recommendations, but guardian is one of the classes I don’t have a lvl
80 of, so you could always just flip a coin.

Make sure that you applied the HoT registration code to your account, but your GW2 client should already be ready to go. The ability to access the Heart of Thorns content is just verified withing your account having the proper registration code.

I think, but am not 100% sure, that if you are a fresh 80 without any HP gained in the core areas at all you will need 400 HP to fully unlock the elite, so 40 HP done in HoT or less there and a bunch in the core lands.

I think they cut that down to 250 HP needed to fully unlock the elite in a balance patch following the release. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

So many new uses as far as RP. Imagine using it for forming squads for exploratory, or rescue missions within the story in play. With the ability for the Commander to give orders to each group in taking points or performing certain tasks.

I can’t wait to see what creative ideas RP guilds and/or groups come up with as we are able to get some hands on experience with this new feature.

Since Druid has staff, the Revenant staff meta will no longer be attainable and Bifrost will drop in price since pets can wield staves now too

Why would I play a necro minion master if the minions can only wield warhorns and druid pets get staves? Besides, the minion AI doesn’t know how to use utility skill properly and spams blood is power with no cooldown, killing themselves. Meanwhile, ranger pets spam signet of stone which is clearly overpowered

Don’t forget MM Necromancer’s pets can’t swim so now you have Sharks wielding BiFrost Staves with Laser Beams on their heads.
