I agree, I have calculated that you have a buffer of 6 chests. Meaning if you have more than 6 chests bugged, you wont be able to get the achievement. So far, I have 4, so, it’s starting to worry me a lot.
Also, as you said. I did notice it doesn’t need to bug the way I told before, but when 2 people open chests at the same time, it tends to bug as well. Also, it can randomly bug.
I told my friend and she said: “Don’t worry, it will be fixed in a month”. Yah, but then the event is finished.
Would be good if any moderator would give us some info, if this bug is known and getting fixed or if we are just doomed and unlucky.

I have restarted playing Guild Wars after a whil and wanted to do the living story, just to find myself annoyed by a glitch.
I found out that when you open a chest and in the midst of opening the chest the tower gets contested the chest wont give you loot, nor will it count towards the balloon achievment. Also, the chest stays open forever, with no means to ever loot it again.
This is annoying since it happened to me a few times already. And since it doesnt count towards the 30 balloon chest loot thingie achievment, there is no mean to get that achievment anymore.
I was very mad when I discovered you had to pay to change servers now. My boyfriend just started playing after buying the game from his brother, discovering we are not n the same server.
This means to play together, we have to guest. I would love to be able to guest more than 2 times a day.
Although, the guesting was a good option for players on different servers that would like to play together, it think it has been abused more aften than not (for world bosses fe).
Even with that, there has still been a huge increase in interest. Guesting existed longer than those overflows we have been having lately. With the new loots and other world bosses changes, the interest increased drastically.
Both combined with the forced guesting makes those hateful overflows.
So, basically, you’re asking for a nerf on the already overnerfed ele. Even better, on a weapon set that, if you ask me, is not much played.
The most played set is a staff, go everywhere on PvE and you see staffs. Staffs everywhere, after that comes the dagger-dagger set.
Elementalist is quite underpowered. Moves slowly and almost everything kills it easily, you’ll always get two-shotted or one-shotted in dungeons.
Tho, I didn’t stop playing it, even with all the nerfs. It’s a very intresting class. Hard to play.
With hard to play I mean that placement is very very important. You would like to not get close to your enemy and in dungeons have a party that knows to not bring melee champs close to you. That way you can kill them without getting too hurt. In that way, ele is quite a challenge. You have to dodge at the right moment en play a little bit more strategic than, let’s say, the warrior.
It also has some decent damage and dps is strong, tho not as strong as necromancer.
Also, the different attunements make it fun to play, and when you master and learn when to switch attunements you can be lots of help to your party.
The only thing is, I don;t like underwater combat with ele, this might be personal, but I feel uneasy with the underwater skillset. I heard mesmer is very powerful underwater, be sure ele is not.
So, basically, they made elementalist quite a challenge, it is underpowered, but I have a lot of fun playing it.
