These are both pretty nice, ill have to give the roaming build a try.

Loving my necro but all i have really done is WvW with my guild. So im looking for a build that’s great for solo/small group roaming.

I am also looking for a PvE(Maps, dungeuns) build.

They dont have to be one single build for both, a roaming build and a seperate pve build is more of what i am looking for.

Still viable? I would something like 0/0/6/6/2 or something similar would be the stat allocation while your running PTV armor with heavily defensive runes?

Lets hear your thoughts on this.

pve dungeuns and exploring.

So i am running 95% zerker gear minus a PPT ring. My Runes are of the scholor. Weapons are S/S S/F but i could pick up a couple more.

What Build would play best with this gear? Also what utilities will go with that build?

any of the last 3 sound awesome as they have points into life. What weapons are usually used and armor and what not?

Dungeons are kind of just a run when i want thing, same with fractals. This will be for world completion and farming for things mostly.

what is the play style of that? Shatter? Leave up the phantoms? Mantras for skills? other?

where i dont have to switch a ton of gear to do world exploration, dungeons, and some fractals?

It really depends on your own play style and personality. When I started playing mesmer, it just CLICKED, I could do anything and everything on a mesmer well and better than all other classes, it just fit ME not just as a player but also as a person, every habit and way of thinking just worked. So your choice between guardian and mesmer, I don’t think it ever comes down to understanding the class. I’ve mained other things for a while but it just didn’t click that much for me. No matter how much understanding you have for any given situation, it’s how you are, how you think, how you feel, what your instincts are etc.

To gather all this is also a huge undertaking, there is already a list of builds for diff purposes and onwards. But there’s literally a lot of play styles and variation each player makes for themselves for any given situation. Just because it works for someone else doesn’t mean it will work for you and even if you understand how someone else does it, doesn’t mean it will affect your own choice between mesmer/guardian/other classes imo.

To MASTER any class, isn’t about understanding or builds or skills or anything at all, it’s more about whether you are naturally adept at that class style and mechanics. When you are, then any situation with some practice you will master it and perform well

Mesmer is also the class that clicked best for me.

My hope is to eventually Master A class, Mesmer/Guardian are my first choices.

I love the mesmer class and would also love to master it, BUT i hate the melee part of them.

What im looking for is a Caster/Dps Build that will work for Zergs in WvW and dungeons and map completion. Hopefully With GS.

Try to make it as detailed as possible please.

Thanks for the reply Aberrant, this is what i was running with for a while and it just seemed to not do it for me, the melee threw me off as i wanted to be more ranged, if this build im working on now doesnt do anything ill give your ideas a try

I am loving mesmer but i am having a hard time finding a suitable build that allows for PvE AND WvW, it may not exsist but this is what i am hoping for. I am still learning the class and don’t understand what is needed gear/runes/sigils/accessories. I can learn a play style though i would like to be GS/Staff maybe because i am hoping to be a more ranged mesmer but i am up for anything.

What should i be looking for gear wise?
