I did a lot of precursor generation by simply buying low cost rares 70+ to throw in MF and then sell any exotics produced (I did the math comparing rares/exotics). I had def. success doing this and earned over 5k gold but its a lot of work but its fun when the RNG kicks in and you get multiple high cost precursors in a short time (got 5 Hunters during one weekend and some others as well).
The biggest problem with selling precursors is that the market is pretty slow, the risk is high that you get stuck with a listing that someone undercut and then suddenly before you know it theres 5 dusks ahead of yours and you cant cut and relist due to the high TP fees. I ended up actually selling my stuff to the highest bidder directly as long as it wasnt too low.
I would def. not recommend flipping precursors or even doing it the way I did because the TP is really rough on low cost rares…
What is the ‘start up costs’ on said exercise would you estimate? I’ve had some success with flipping, but this seems more enticing.
What’s the ROI on a legendary? Considering the fact it’s nothing more than a skin too.
Thanks for the input so far. My sneaking suspension was that an ele was a class that required skill, but when mastered was very versatile. I’m glad to hear the feedback on the guardian too, in regards to them being an Aggro machine. In a typical group setting, isn’t the Guardian normally looked upon to ‘tank,’ so I’m not so sure I have an issue with their aggro generation ability.
I realize I am posting this in the guardian section of the forums, but that is the direction I am currently leaning.
I am looking to roll an alt strictly for dungeon purposes. Of the three choices above, which makes the best overall class? (Yes, I know they all have there separate strengths etc.)
I’m looking for input regarding current state of the classes, and possible future state. Meaning, forecasting for potential nerfs/buffs.
I’d like to be viable in higher level fractals, and dungeons such as Arah.
My main is an 80 Necro, conditions build, if we are considering a complimentary alt.

It may have been touched on in the past, but at minimum, repetition may be a nod to what we enjoy about the Fractals.
When I completed my first fractal run, my mind immediately went to the recent remake of the Cabin in the Woods. There is a nervous excitement about what ‘fractal’ may be next, and then the added mystery thanks to the Asura and their experiments. It is my hope that you expand upon this Anet. The Fractals do not have to have an end state, you could in theory continually add new dungeons and challenges to the Fractals as the game continued to evolve to the point that we walk into the fractals and we may be teleported to 1 of 100 different ‘fractals.’
This opens up the opportunity to retool ‘older’ fractals as well. Who isn’t to say that when you reach fractal level “X” that there isn’t a minor tear, or opening, in the back corner of the swamp (be careful, you could completely miss it, and complete the level without knowing of its existence) that takes you into the lab were experiments are being conducted? Or that if you miss a certain platform during colossus that instead of dying, you will be ‘fall’ into a water based fractal?
I’m sure you guys have big plans for the place, and it is my hope that you continue to expand on what currently exists, you have an opportunity to make an entire world that exists inside of that little gate. Not only will it add a factor of unknown that will be difficult to exploit, but will help, at least in my opinion, eliminate the ‘grindy’ feeling of running the same dungeon over and over. We can work on a reward, and see different content, at the same time. (Who would have thought?)

This is more of a gear question as it relates to the upcoming dungeon to be released today. I currently do not own any exotics; I am new(er) to 80 and have yet to decide what gear I want to utilize. As of now I am playing conditionmancer, but I know that I will need to quickly gear up if I want to be included in fractal runs.
I am sitting on 11 globs of ecto, and 129 AC marks, 60 HoW marks, and 60 CM marks. What would you do in my situation? Sell the Ectos and try to buy a decent weapon set? Have a crafter make jewelry? Grind out X dungeon for an armor set for the new instance? A weird combination of the above?
If my speculation serves me correct, the new dungeon will more than likely require a lot of our boon application/removal skills. I don’t think we will be as relevant with burst damage in this particular setting, but I could be wrong.
