Superior Rune of the Scholar is probably the best all out damage Rune. Beserker gear is probably the best gear/accessories for damage. This is the gear of choice for a Glass Cannon build.

Thanks will try that. was thinking of pack runes but the bug of not being able to activate it pisses me off… but doubt i’m gonna use pack runes since it applies to allies only.

for those say that Rangers = Pets, i’d gladly love to equip my bears on my mainhand and my hawks on my off hand. that way then u can say rangers = pets.

personally, i’d use rampage as one + signet of wild + quick zephyr. of coz use the trait Signet of the beastmaster. that’ll help u dish out tons of dmg in 4seconds. the downside is however, that you’d be totally crap after you use them… since the cd is kinda long.

not sure if this is posted before. but using 6 runes of lyssa, removes the stability buff from Rampage as One. what i meant is. RaO is suppose to give you 20sec stability. and lyssa runes suppose to give all buffs for 5sec. once i use RaO with lyssa runes, my stability lasts for 5secs only.

someone else test it to confirm?

well i know clicking would be able to see but clicking will stop my auto attack… or can that be changed? even so, i’d still wan to see it on my screen rather than always clicking it…

still dont like the idea that we cant crit objects… or at least some dungeon boss that are defined as “objects” take CoF path 2, final boss for example…

ok let me get this straight. so when pets are attacked and do not attack back, you’re not entering combat? are you serious about that? coz when i did some jump puzzles that have monsters attacking my pet (mind you, it wasn’t attacking me), my movements are slowed and when i switch pet the cooldown was 20sec and i am still in combat even i am far from the monsters. at times i am like on a higher platform and unable to dmg the monster, the monster can still hit me… that happens when i F4 after my pet was hit.

I play ranger and personally, i feel that the buffs of the pets should be displayed above the pets hotkeys. that way we will know whether the buff is affecting our pets and help us keep track on are we too far from pets to buff them and things liddat? thoughts?

oh and the waypoint to the last boss in CoE path 2, should be placed somewhere nearer… coz by the time we run back, he just finished killing the last person inside and is resetting

Did CoE dungeon 2nd path and the last boss seriously? the skills of AoE and imprisonment has no cooldowns while our dodge and skills have such long cooldowns? the moment i was imprisoned, i could do nothing to escape and once i got out of it, i was immediately imprisoned within the next 2-3seconds of my previous escape. dodge the big AoEs and i dodge right into another AoE, avoided that and went straight for an imprisonment… seriously i feel the dungeon bosses needs lots of reworking. come on, put some cooldowns on their skills.

on a side note, i feel that CoF path 1 is a more enjoyable route compared to the usual path 2. i like the challenges and contents in there… just the boss…

btw rinbox, don’t have to go in the gate like i explained. went in once and died badly when my team member left the beacon range haha

for path 3, coordination is needed at the torches part. clear the mobs at same time if not almost same time. 1 gives cue to light. and within the 5sec countdown, the other 4 must light their torches already.

for path 1, after u cross the boulders part, 4 will stand near the beacons, each taking 1. and fend of monsters while staying alive. the fifth member will go to the gate. when all 4 beacons have players standing near, the gate will open revealing the gate controller. my advice would be a fast dps go for the controller. the moment 1 guy is out of range of beacon, gate closes and controller cant be hit. u can go into the room but there’s silver waiting for you inside. so usually i jsut stand outside and shoot while gate is open.

the problem with path1 is the final boss part which is after killing the gate controller… high dps in the whole party is needed. among all the videos i seen, the parties always have a mesmer to help provide 10sec of haste… which well i personally feel the dungeon is broke coz you cant jsut form a random group to complete it…

oh btw even u go into room and 1 guy is off range of beacon, a shield would appear around the controller. so all must stand within range till the controller is down

just a rough guide based on my personal experience.

I’m going to assume he gains stacks of regeneration, thieves can nick that, mesmers can debuff it, guardians can burn it off, and there’s a whole host of other ways to deal with it, if you can also out dps it then it’s just a bug potentially and should be reported. Or at least I would assume that’s the best course of action

Unfortunately there are only two professions that excel at boon removal/conversion. Necros and mesmers. Guardians and thieves can, but it requires specialized trait builds not all guardians use (this guardian included). Specialized things like this need to either find their way into more profession weapons/utilities or encounters shouldn’t be structured around something less than half of the professions have access to, unless of course environmental weapons are provided that fill in any gaps. Dungeons were advertised as being accomplished with any profession composition (the idea here being that every member can run with varying gear/utilities/weapons to meet the needs of the group). I haven’t done this encounter, so I can’t say how feasible it is without boon removal.

yes i like the way u say that dungeons are meant for any profession composition. i too believe that it’s suppose to be that way and i strongly believe that the devs missed out this point when creating the dungeons. my guardian even went to reset traits to run this dungeon with me but still, we failed, each spending about 50-70s for repairs just at the boss alone.

i dont like how some groups tell me “sorry but we’re looking for warrior/guardians” i mean if everyone does that. wont it be redundant to create the other professions in the first place?

when we down him to 30% he has 25stacks. and we manage to bring that stacks down to somewhere between 7-12. once we dps til he gets to roughly 15-20%, his hp suddenly went to 30% with 7-12stacks only. and we were keeping the same if not almsot the same dps on him. meaning if we had kept it that way since 30% and manage to bring him to 15-20% he shld be able to be killed. but somehow magically restores back to 30% for no reason.

Ok, lets get things straight first. First they said that the tokens in a particular route is way too easy to farm and they nerfed that route. Changing things and making it hard. Fine, i am ok with it. But have they even thought about why are people farming particular routes and not the others?

Take the famous CoF runs. why is everyone choosing route 2? it’s not so taxing on out repairs. we gain smth. we are able to finish it. how about route 1? everyone says that there’s a problem with it. But are the devs taking a look into it? or are they just trying to avoid the situation?

I did route 1 with a group and managed to finish it. but when i went with a different group, with total complete diff class combi, we’re not able to do it. and we got stuck at the boss for like 2hrs from trying and finally gave up. there seems to be a bug at 10-20% of the boss. yes i know it regens 25stacks of regeneration at 30% but we manage to out dps that and brought it down to about 20% and when we thought it was almost done, with only 7 stacks of regeneration, the boss magically heals back to 30% and the cycle repeats. we got stuck at that for so long.

now, the problem is have the designers even tested it? have they even thought if they set this settings and such to the boss is it even possible? what happened to your common sense? i do not mean to be rude and such but all this simple things are they taken into consideration? i would suggest the developers form a party themselves and go in to test out all these dungeons.

now the dungeons have become something like “if we do not have this combi of classes going in, we’re sure to fail it” every video i watch on CoF path 1, they have a mesmer to time wrap. but can it be done with other classes? i tried with 2 thieves, 1 ranger, 1 guard, 1 warrior. we’re able to clear. when we tried with 1necro, 1 ranger, 1 warrior, 1 guardian, 1 ele we failed badly. why is this so?

shouldn’t the dungeons accommodate to all class combi?

there have been many complains about dungeons which are near impossible but i do not see any changes made towards them. only changes towards those that are possible and some, slightly possible ones.

i urge the devs to wake up asap and deal with such problems. i know it’s not easy but have you guys taken a look into all the problems posted in the forums? i see lots of bugs and all but hardly any replies to make changes or to even take a look at the problems raised.

furthermore, there are so many bugs with skill points all over the different maps, why are they not fixed? only focusing on dungeons?

well seems like need some tanky class or we’re dead. my group have 2 thieves, 1 guard, 1 war, 1 ranger. so are they telling us thieves are useless in dungeons? anyway my guildie did completed the run. he said he got 15 tokens while 1 guy in his group had only 5!!!

the new patch for CoF is total BS! the mobs are impossible to kill. and dont the AoEs have any cooldowns? we tried to chain suicide and it didn’t work. we tried killing and when we jsut finished killing 1 mob, 3 more spawned. is it even doable after the latest patch? i wonder what the designers have been doing? anyone ever completed CoF after latest patch? isn’t dungeon meant for anyone? don’t tell me only a group of 5 guardians can survive the kiting?

Taumanova Reactor's Unstable Ice Formation

the unstable ice formation at the jump puzzle of taumanova reactor is bugged. even when standing outside the range of the red circle, i am getting hit and knockback. i stood quite far but was hit and knock off the platform eventually causing me to die many times. the range for the atk by unstable ice formation is stated in red but it is bigger than wad it has.
