I adore the new mount system and absolutely love it coming to the gw2 genre. I had a couple concerns regarding the flow and feel of the mounts during beta testing.

1. The flow between mount, glide, and on-foot felt very clunky. I’d like to see some improvements on the transitions. Ex. If I’m on the Raptor and wish to switch to gliding mid jump, I should be able to. Possibly add a checkbox setting in options where if you quickly double tap spacebar (jump) you can dismount and switch to gliding with little to no effort in mid-air.

3. Gliding in Edge of the Mist: I heard gliding was added to wvw but not EOTM. I’d like to see it in edge as well. I’ve heard something about potential game breaking mechanics, but that can simply be fixed by making certain areas “no fly” zones or have height limits.

Overall, I adore all the mobility mechanics the Anet team is coming up with and I look forward to seeing more mounts and ways to glide!

For the life of me…I’m stuck, sigh. The new AP menu is nice and all as it labels all tokens exactly #1, #2, and so on. I seem to be missing #17??? And for the life of me I cant find it and haven’t found anyone with an updated hunt guide via the new numerical order. Ive watched loads of videos with “their” #17 and all of them were different and none of them the one I need. I’m gonna cry…it’s literally the only one I need for this darn Mastery Point.

I have completely uninstalled and re-installed 64-bit Gw2, the Dcing is still happening randomly sometimes once every min, sometimes once every hour…randomly…it’s seriously making me want to quit GW until this is resolved

Have you a 32-bit OS? A 64-bit OS?

Are you using the 32-bit client, or the 64-bit client?

Have you submitted a request for assistance from the Tech CS Team? If so, what were the results of their suggestions?

More information is needed to analyze the situation, and possibly offer solutions.

And to answer your question….Anet is such a craptastic customer service…they dont even have a number v.v; So, no, I have contacted them yet.

I completely uninstalled the game and am going to install the 64bit. I’m hoping this solves the problem…however, the download didn’t come with a 64-Bit Launcher or shortcut. Could someone possibly provide me the file my download is missing? lord Anet, Whyyy

Theres a problem with some DNS routes, and nd estrangely with everything involving silverwastes and Living World Season 2 private instance.

I solved this by changing my Google DNS DNS to OpenDNS.

The Anet has to pay attention to this problem. Not all players have advanced knowledge like me.

The symptoms are more severe when entering private instance of “Living World Season 2”. The problem disappeared when I stopped using GoogleDNS.

Other procedures:
DNS cache cleaning
Reconnect after clearing the cache.

I’ve been a member of the GW community since the release of GW1. I have the GW2 and GW2: HoT collector’s editions and as soon as the game went free or the Halloween ended…I noticed I started DCing alllll the time. In the middle of an event in a map, during a dungeon run, during a story line instance, etc. Recently I was doing some spider farming and I Dc’d randomly every minute to every few minutes. It’s becoming a hassle. Worst yet, when I did a Organized Dragon’s Stand map for the loot and ranger pets at the end, DC’d at least 3-4x near the end I was on the verg of throwing my comp…It’s that frustrating. Please help. I know my net is good. I know my computer is up to date, my Graphics Card is up to date and amazing. I haven’t had any gw2 related issues until after the Halloween event ended.

I’d really like to enjoy the new HoT content without constantly being dropped and losing a good map.

I enjoyed the stress test for the Rev this past weekend. I love the mechanics of the Hammer. It’s the first prof I actually enjoy the hammer. ((PS: please make greatsword usable for Revs)).

I thought it was creative to make the staff “melee”, but at the same time it’s mechanics don’t make sense. The staff’s skills seem to focus on “support” so making it melee ranged seems like a bad idea to me.

Suggestion:

1. Staff, Since the theme of the Rev seems to follow through with “spirits” and “portals” I had a unique idea for the staff’s 1 attack. What if, instead of melee the first attack was a ranged attack as such:

The idea of the staff 1 would be like an “extend stick” (monkey king) idea, but instead of actually extending, the staff would phase into a portal and exit out up to 1,500 feet. So, another wards, if the enemy is at 1,500 feet or less, the staff auto attack would reach the enemy dealing damage. And maybe it’s 3rd hit causes confusion or something.

2. Also, I don’t know if it’s already in the works, but I hope the Rev gets great sword (gs) and also gets a unique play style. It would be awesome if the great sword on a Rev functioned like a yoyo or something. Similar to the Mesmer Great Sword throw (4 I believe), except it would come back similar to the hammer 1 on the rev. And it’s other attacks would be similar yoyo mechanics. “Around the world” would send it out forward and then spin around the Rev 360* a couple times before returning to the caster while the Great Sword spins horizontally. “Walking the Dog” would center the GS in the ground while rotating the blade vertically through the ground and in a linear path forward 1,000 feet or something.

Just some fun ideas I had. Doubt something that creative would happen, but would be cool to see. And I’ll admit, it would make using the Greatsaw Chainsword super epic! Everyone would want one just for the Rev YoYo mechanics.

For new race, you have to exclude the ones that you help during the storyline, namely grawl, hylek, skitt, quaggan, and orge. Also, kodan should be out since they are pretty much same as norn, which are redundant. Harpy, centaur, imp, and margonite are too evil.

So the only candidates are tengu or largos

Skritt are already a known playable race for the near future and as for centaurs “Tamini” are a friendly to humans race that could show potential.

We are not getting any new playable races in HoT. We have known this for some time now.

I figured, but it would be cool. Hopefully some time in the future they add more.

They haven’t come out directly and said “yes we definitely will in the future” however assorted interviews with Colin give us a solid foundation on which to base such speculation. It has been stated that they looked at it for HoT, but decided that adding the Revenant would offer “more” than just a new race would. So, maybe with the next expansion.

Personally. I have always put forth that they could add new races that fit with the dragon story being told. The Kodan when we face Jormag. The Largos when we take on Bubbles. Not sure where we would slot Tengu in necessarily, but oddly I always think of tying them to Cantha somehow (although I’m well aware that only some Tribes come from there). It would help slide their story components in that way as well.

Edit: All that said, the “race” most associated with this expansion is most definitely the Sylvari.

I have to tell the OP that Tamini is a centaur tribe. They are actually called centaurs, not Tamini.
Also, I must play Tengu so plz put them in next expansion anet. Polearms too

I don’t know if it’s in the works or not for HoT, but I hope so. I’m kind of bored of the current races…played them all 2-3x through the same tired stories.

I’m hoping some new races are coming out soon, ideally at least 1 in the HoT expansion.

Some examples: Skritt*, Hylek*, Centaur* (Tamini), Tengu, Largos*, Orge, Ettin (with more developed heads), Krait*, Imp (Fire, Ice, Poison, Etc), Harpy*, Margonite, Dredge, Grawl, Giant, Twisted*, etc

*: Starred Items are races I really really like and would love to see in the game at some point in the future.

Let me know what you guys think? Other races and ideas?

Ele Legendary

Ele, even since gw1 was always one of my fav professions.

I was a little sad when the trait change happened, as it took away a bit of my tankiness as I was trailed into 4 categories.

But anyways, I play a Slyvari Ele in gw2 and I love her to death. She’s my little dress-up Barbie. I was hoping to see Sylvari with Long Bow as an option or Great Sword. I know they have them as “conjure weapons” but with those you can’t customize them or get the legendary of them.

So here’s my 2 part idea plan:

1. Allow the Ele to use the Long Bow (because I love the Kudzu’s flower footprints)

OR

2. Allow Legendary Footprints to be interchangeable similar to the stat changes on a legendary at will. So, example: Lets say my Ele has the Bifrost but the flower footprint suits her better as a Sylvari, on the actual legendary (not a skinning) I could open up it’s info in the equipment window and pick a different footprint. But it can be set up 1 of 2 ways.

Either, 1: gain access to all footprints upon legendary unlock OR, 2: Similar to the library with skins, you gain access to any legendary footprints you’ve unlocked.

So, say I’ve unlocked Bifrost and Quip, but not Kudzu. I’d only have access to the footprints of Bifrost with the rainbows, and Quip with the confetti, but not Kudzu as I haven’t unlocked it yet on my account.

This ideas would not only make legendries more desirable, but make the painful aspect of collecting them more fun.

Just some ideas to think about.
