Good stuff. As an aspiring Necro, can you elaborate more on the build?

1) What are the strength/weakeness of this build?
2) You mentioned you were wearing raid armor. Which armor would best suit the build then?
3) Any certain combination of skills you use? Like use #x then #y, etc etc.

The build is linked in the first post! The armor is Viper.

Strengths: Extremely overpowering damage output, if you catch a group unaware you can nuke multiple targets off in seconds. Very mobile for a necro, good stomping ability, good AOE. Fairly confident this won’t survive against a good medi DH (no traps) – and some other specs you need to play well against, but I’ve never really felt anything hard countered me..I can usually identify my mistakes. – like the 1v3 in the video where I actually die. I missed a few important skills on the last DH, and failed to dodge binding blade when I’m entirely aware of its damage ability. Had the tools, failed to use them.

Weaknesses: You have no bonuses to vitality or toughness, on a class without blocks and invulns. So in general, the weaknesses would be getting hit, or missing or wasting a skill. It doesn’t have much room to make mistakes basically. This gets harder the more people want you dead obviously.

Skill combos really vary depending on the enemy class. RS 5 – 4 is a nice bleed and power burst combo, but RS 5 – 2 will give you frost aura, which also causes bleed and gives you a 10% damage reduction. Obviously I abuse the heck out off spectral walk → teleport to wurm → spectral recall for stomping purposes. Best advise..fight lots of enemies, lots of different types..fight outnumbered, and study builds on other classes..you need to know when to kite, when to burst, and when to tank damage and when not to.

Yes, either a feature that lets you select from any sigil/rune you have previously equipped to the item or an item extractor. Even an item extractor that only works on legendary items and results in account bound runes/sigils. While the first option would be more convenient..I would love to see either one of them.

Running away whenever the guardian does damage to regen doesn’t indicate if the guardian was skilled or not. I wreck warriors, but their are plenty that are part gazelle that just run for the hills after you look sternly at them. When I see Rush → whirlwind → Sword Leap → bullscharge, I generally just go find something specced for fighting rather than running.

Dee Jay, what server are you on/what did the guardian look like? Reason I ask is I ran into a glass warrior that I fought for about 4 minutes, ended up not going anywhere and we both went our merry ways. I only remember because the warriors that neither spontaneously explode in one burst or hit the afterburners in the other direction are very rare indeed.

As for guardian, triple M guards have 2k heals for each utility. One of these is on a 16 second cooldown. Combined with blocks/blinds/invulns they can survive a lot of punishment. The build I run is full zerker, the only defense it has are blocks/blinds and the obvious meditation healing.

And if you have actually taken on a 1v3 and won against an organized guild group, please post the video. Or we will not take you seriously.

That’s entirely possible, happens rather frequently…but, few things to note about it.

1) Not all guilds are equal in skill – Very common reason for these wins

2) Havoc builds designed entirely to wreck the group comps of larger groups. – Ours for example combines massive unblockable boonstripping AOE damage, piercing ranged damage, AOE blind and the ability to consistently avoid melee damage. Oh and our thieves get crabby when someone pokes one of our necros..and crabby thieves tend to be rather sadistic. (Stealthed lich anyone?)

3) AOE cap – Anything less than 1v5 is typically possible to win, the damage output of 5 ultra glass necros dropping wells and going lich in a choke point, like the hills bridge can drop much larger groups. Am I saying you win these a lot, no, but even good guild groups will fall for it once.

Summary, very possible to win these fights against organized guilds, but if they happen to be the same skill level it gets less likely and comes down to builds and bombing ability.

Havoc groups are often zerg busters and roamers, they aren’t mutually exclusive concepts. As for the changes and their effect on small man groups.

Boon Duration: Entirely dependent on group comp, we have zero players who main a warrior/guardian/elementalist, our group comp is consistently necros and thieves (literally everyone in our guild mains one of those classes), so that change has no effect. If you’re mostly guards/warriors/elementalists then sure, fair point.

Crit Damage: My experience so far is that there is little effect on the highest damage DPS builds, these builds are often not maxed critical damage, but instead take advantage of +damage traits (close to death/executioner etc). It did hurt the damage of our old glass necros, but adjustments to runes actually allowed for us to regain much of that damage. (zerker necros took it harder than a lot, as they max both +damage traits and critical damage).

Stack changes: No major change here, player kills compensate for the duel sigil trick, while equiping the same sigil on your underwater weapons allows you to unequip the weapon and use different sigils.

We certainly had to change a few things..but overall we feel our zerg busting abilities are actually improved through several new tricks we gained. (-50% damage in stealth to allies for one).

Wasn’t boon duration stacking limited a few patches ago..?

Yes it was, currently swiftness can stack up to 9 times, with spectral walk, locus swarm + 7 stacks from the food is 110 seconds of swiftness. I rounded the number, you will see two minutes rather frequently if anyone else applies a longer swiftness.

Icewielder.4195

So thats a 20% damage increase when the moon aligns with unrestricted access to movement. The target also has to be pure glass or an up level. I’m also not sure if being crippled and chilled negatively affects the food buff. Its an obscure bonus and those tend to be rife with bugs since very few people use them, much like how the Giver’s bonus to condition duration was bugged for the longest time.

Its a 20% damage boost at night and a 10% during the day (from sigil + food), obviously swap out that sigil for a functional one during the day. As for bugs, this food was bugged entirely until a few patches back. Currently it functions if you are immobilized/chilled/crippled etc as long as you are pressing forward or strafe. (Running backwards does not work).

Oh, and 2 minutes of swiftness on a necro, not something I’m gonna complain about. Stack up a few thousand coyotes and enjoy.

Last thing, its not as effective on some classes, if the attacks halt your movement before actually attacking, it wont work, aka killshot or rush.

Nobody here has said that 20k or even 15k is normal. Those are very high hits, I only claimed 10k was easily reached, and that doesn’t require the food or sigil to get, but once you throw them in, its a very common sight.

Icewielder.4195

10k is trivial to get, this is a 60% channeled ghastly claws with 4 stacks of bloodlust, during the DAY, with no might, no guard stacks, and no wvw bloodlust. (If you can’t stack vuln with a necro, reroll).

I have full ascended trinkets, exotic weapons and armor. In a typical borderland engagement I have full guard stacks (100 power), full bloodlust stacks (250), and at least some wvw bloodlust, I don’t pay attention to what tier it is generally, but that also grants power. I run both a sigil of force and a sigil of night. I have my foodbuffs as well. If I really want them dead I drop the wells and use the signet of spite and BIP for more power. (I generally like the wells for clearing camps though).

How high it will go depends on the enemy, but generally its between 8k-20k, 20k is relatively rare, its most commonly seen against carrion necros or something else with high health but low armor (or obviously uplevels). Average of what I usually get is probably about 13k.

As for hitting a thief..yeah..channel skill. Start 2 before they stealth and watch them explode. (3 can also hit them).

Medi Guards

in Necromancer

Posted by: Icewielder.4195

Icewielder.4195

First off what build are you running? That’s going to determine how you fight a medi guard. Zerker necro will have to play entirely different than a condi build.

Second, meditation guardians (especially ultra glass ones) if played well will be extremely difficult to beat regardless of your build. I play both a full zerker triple meditation burst guardian as well as my necro (both zerker and condi). If your opponent happens to be experienced with necro your likely just out of luck. Skilled guards will know what skills to blind and your attack rotation. They have both extensive blocks and blinds, but arguably the most potent condi removal and recovery possible. That being said, its possible to beat even a skilled one, but what build your running will determine how you do that. One word of advice, kite…kite…kite..do not mess with a medi guard in melee, you will lose.

Icewielder.4195

I like havok teams and I support more of this sort of playstyle as long as those in my server doing it help and communicate with each other or with the commander. else, the havok team does more damage than good. While I can’t force ppl to help each other, this is my take on it. I don’t claim tc looks at it this way nor my guildmates, just me.

:3

Havoc teams (good ones) do not need any instruction or guidance from anyone. Its those havoc teams that are fighting on an enemy borderland alone in outmanned situations at most times. Its those teams that are randomly flipping keeps, towers and camps when nobody else is around. SoS has some, TC has some and FA has some of these teams.

A lot of what these teams do are never realized, I’ve seen teams from all the servers decimating reinforcements trying to reach their keep that is under siege. Its these teams that patch gates behind enemy zergs and contest waypoints.

Those teams will gladly communicate and work with commanders & other havoc teams IF they are on map and IF the commander doesn’t make foolish maneuvers that waste the havoc groups time. Such as when a havoc team has a wall at 40% and the commander runs right past the group, drops siege on the gate and proceeds to uber blob the gate to death.
(We try and work with whatever commander or teams are on map, but we also can think for ourselves and don’t need to be asked to do everything. Doesn’t take much communication to look at mos and determine a camp needs to be flipped.)

The one thing I’ll say about every dedicated havoc group I’ve ever seen, from multiple different servers. You don’t try and boss them around, and you make friends with em, they will think nothing of slamming a golem into a T3 keep vs an 80 man blob to buy you time to take something else. Annoy them, and your going to find yourself without some of your best scouts, without camps, tapped waypoints or bloodlust.

Holy kitten I make one post about TC not having any good GUILD GROUPS UNDER 10 (all caps so your not distracted by other key words like zerg etc.) and 3 pages later TC is still defending their honor. Jeez you guys it’s like you’ve never been called out for all being in one zerg on a map before. It’s classic TC and anyone that’s fought TC knows it’s true. All I was trying to do is get some guild somewhere to give me a “fight me bro” so i could get my first even fight of the match up with my guildies. Let me be clear TC doesn’t ALWAYS zerg just most of the time, TC isn’t all miltia baddies just most of them, TC doesn’t always have more numbers just most the time(FA is stronger in OCX, possibly NA), FA has zerg guilds, FA will blob with multiple guild groups. All myself the furious one are trying to say is where all da TC roamers and small guilds at? and if they do in fact exist (I’m skeptical) who are they and how can we find them? If not why not break off say 5-10 from your zerg to havoc on map so they can get better instead of being #1 pushers all the time? or hey if you got 15 on wall and 5 of us outside why not jump down get out of cannon range and fight us instead of turtlling up all the time? Go get you some fights we’re waiting outside of your T3 keeps.

Okay since Lurock posting our location didn’t help lets try this. Message me in game and I’ll tell you what BL we’re on. YOHO (FLOT back when we were on FA) has never run anything but havoc. Since we can’t actually find any FA roamers (SoS has em), apparently we all need to go to the same BL.

Also TMGT runs with us a lot (in our TS) as well, bringing our numbers to a massive 6, yes that’s six.

WvW Roaming Necro

in Necromancer

Posted by: Icewielder.4195

Icewielder.4195

Truth be told my (biased) opinion is that the necro is one of the better roaming classes, that said..it requires you to think about your fights a bit more than other classes, once you engage you darn well win because your other option is die, your not going to be escaping. The reason that I consider it exceptional for roaming is that properly played they can dish out and take a lot more damage than you would expect (even zerker builds).

I run two builds for solo and small scale roaming. A fairly standard condi build, its mainly tweaked to my play style. I prefer soul marks as I’m often outnumbered and I tend to start swearing whenever my life force bar is empty.
I also use the signet of spite, mainly because I’m evil and enjoy the panic from my enemies. If you happen to want your enemy to have a chance, you can run something else, just change the signet trait.
Whatever you decide, play around. I change builds about every 5 minutes, so figure out what works best for you. (I prefer spite, I believe Rennoko prefers BIP)

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fQAQNAW7YjMaF7tbKb87JEoH9iuAiRKOmghSR5wOA-jkCB4iCyk0wkIBKTqIasl1ERjVToKZpWdDTHTIyYuIa1SBAz0I-w

If you like a bit more..risk..roaming on a full zerker necro is hilarious. Nothing like dropping a thief in 2 shots or lich bombing a havoc team on a ram. (I would probably suggest running the condi build till you learn necro, its more forgiving). This build is one that if your on your game wrecks everything you face, and if your not on your game…explodes. I do solo roam on this, but I tend to prefer the condi build for solo as I can’t buy a fight that’s not 1v3 or worse. The zerker builds strength is small 3-5 man group fights, especially if you have guardians or condi necros that can dive in and take focus off you. If the enemy ignores a zerker necro, they have already lost.

My guild has run 5 of these together, everybody does life transfer and you get to watch enemy groups vanish. Problem is a lot of the time nobody is left to spike when you finish >.>

Necro contrary to what everyone seems to think isn’t some ultra easy win class, it actually takes a lot of practice to deal with the various cheese builds and skilled players you may encounter. Considering I target enemy necros because their almost always a walking look bag regardless of what class I happen to be on, its obviously not as simple as people seem to think.

Necro - WvW - Getting Focused

in Necromancer

Posted by: Icewielder.4195

Icewielder.4195

Unless we can identify a specific threat, like when we run into Rennoko, or an especially easy target like a full glass longbow ranger/staff ele, we prioritize enemy necros for a couple reasons.
1. Most necros are amazingly bad, they do little and are amazingly reliable epidemic targets. (They don’t randomly go invuln making it miss).
2. They generally cause cripple/chill/fear/weakness which is exceedingly annoying and makes it harder for my melee peeps to get things done.
3. Easy stomp, stability or blind stomps and it’s out of the fight. Compared to a thief/Mesmer/ele that won’t sit still. (Corpse epi is easier too)
4. While very rare, occasionally the necro is horrifyingly dangerous and could quickly drop my other party members. Generally these are very skilled condition necros. In this situation I am often the only member of my party that can handle the kind of pressure they can apply. This is very rare, Rennoko is actually the only one we consistently run into. (Iris Ashensoul is also one, but we’re on the same server now luckily).

After the necro is down we focus whoever is lowest generally, seeing as somebody usually had a bad experience with epidemic. (If it happens to be a skilled necro, we’re usually still having a clash of titans by the time my party has either killed off the other party, or my guys have wiped. So obviously whoever party won is going to win that.)

The warrior I believe is actually all zerker, or mostly zerker. He just happens to play a highly mobile build, and uses the immunity skills well. He hides well in a group because he is so flamboyant.

That doesn’t surprise me at all, warriors in good hands are still hard to bring down even with zerker. I definitely wasn’t saying there was anything wrong with the group, there clearly isn’t. Just observing that guardians and warriors “tend” to not go down as easy as most necros you fight (This is more because of the number of necro’s running around recently that die if you look sternly at them). Put a staff ele in there and watch who gets focused!

Icewielder.4195

I can attest to the footage being last week.

As for the stunbreaker and immob, stunbreakers are all but unecessary for dire builds. DS is instant cast, as is doom, meaning you can fear off most stun sources. When it comes to hammer warriors or what not, a single stunbreaker isn’t enough anyway, in those situations you best keep them off you to begin with (easy enough with cripple/blind/fear/chill). Basically if your getting stunned for any significant amount of time you’ve likely made a major positioning error and a stunbreaker isn’t going to help.

The change to immob is hardly a major issue for necro either, you can transfer it or clear it without much issue.

I run in groups this size all the time and we have far less support than what Rennoko is getting, the times we have guardians, they are meditation burst guardians. We have no warriors, a bunch of thieves, and a bunch of necros. Survival is about knowing your group and working around it (I run different builds for my various groups). This video is showing the worst situations intentionally, those will always happen. To be honest, the biggest problem here is actually the amount of support. That group comp any smart group WILL focus the necro (vs tough guards/warriors), as the necro is generally more of a threat than a guardian or warrior. Groups where you have high damage classes tend to not have the same necro focus issues. Even a good group will take focus off a necro when 3 thieves or burst guardians suddenly melt their buddy.

I am gonna run zerker tonight so don’t focus me Kthnx.

The way this matchup is going I may as well be bright pink with a sign saying FOCUS THE NECRO. No matter what gear setup I am in, I get trained down, so I may as well go down in a blaze of zerker glory. So much blobbing on TC and SOR this week.

Understatement of the year.. I’m trying to escape friendly blobs as much as I’m dodging Mag & SoR ones.

I propose we start a cross server “March of the Liches” in which we get as many necros as possible, put on full zerker gear, and run around ganking all non necros we find.
At the end we all line up, pop lich and fight to the death, whichever server has the most still standing at the end of lich form is declared the winner that week.

Oh and the focus issue, its solved if your party is ALL necros like mine often is. “Focus the necro!….crud…their all necros…”

Beating a necro

in Necromancer

Icewielder.4195

Guardian: Okay lets be honest here..if your dieing to conditions your build probably needs some work. You can both do some serious damage and tank. You have more ways to deal with conditions than I care to count. But as I said for warrior, pressure the necro. If you panic and run around trying to clear the conditions as fast as I apply them you have already lost. Most of the better necro’s I know are stubborn and hard to panic. Many of the guardians I fight panic and blow a ton of skills trying to keep my conditions off, keep your head on you and don’t let up, a good necro won’t panic even at low health, you shouldn’t either, you have plenty of ways to recover that health, our ways are a bit limited. (Also as a side note, if our marks our huge, they are unblockable, so don’t expect your blocks to save you.)

Mesmer: Where the necro lacks in mobility, you do not (in combat mobility mind you). You have burst, annoying interrupts, stealth, teleports and plenty of other annoying tricks. If you try and tank a necro (something I’ve been seeing a lot of lately), your going to die, similar to the thief, you can win by patience, catch us in a burst, dart off, repeat. Also as much as I loath to give you the idea, moa morph is stunningly annoying when cast from stealth. Oh and watch your heal skills, I’ll interrupt them as well as mass invis, so be careful when using them or use distortion to make sure I don’t.

Elementalist: Again your a class that has plenty of condition removal, you have crowd control, some annoying invuln etc. You also have a ton more options for in combat mobility. Your sadly better at the attrition game than a necro, you also have the ability to escape and recover before charging back into battle. Take advantage of this, the necro won’t be able to recover from damage as quickly as your ele, do some damage, and dart away and heal up. Rinse and repeat until you beat them. Again if you stand and try to tank a necro your going to lose (unless you can stunlock them the entire fight).

Obviously there are other ways to beat a necro, and even if I said something won’t work, such as condi engineers, that doesn’t mean you can’t win by being a better player. These are also my opinions, if your able to beat every necro you fight with some other tactic that’s great, keep it up.

P.S. If your complaining about spectral wall being OP, stop walking into it…

Beating a necro

in Necromancer

Posted by: Icewielder.4195

Icewielder.4195

Lately I’ve seen a lot of complaints about how the necro has supposedly become “OP”… I have every class at level 80 and have played all of them in WvW pretty extensively. Necro is right where it should be, people just haven’t learned to fight it yet.
I will briefly explain how to actually beat a necro using the other classes, obviously player skill will always decide the battle. I’m assuming equally skilled players here. (I also roam and do small scale havoc, zerg battles hardly test how good a build is)

This is more of a starting point for players looking for some tips, if your already experienced in WvW or what not, you probably have your own way of beating them, whatever works for you! These are my opinions from fighting necros on each of my classes, as well as from what doesn’t work against my necro.

Thief: You have a tremendous number of ways to beat a necro, at one end you have burst potential that can shred even the toughest necro in a matter of seconds. You have several spammable interrupts available (head-shot comes to mind). On the other end you have a massive number of evades that render the necro’s long cast time skills painfully hard to successfully use. Part of the complaints are likely from the stunningly large number of thieves that I have recently been encountering that run up unstealthed, activate basilisk venom, and shadowstep to the necro expecting to win. This tactic will result in you being turned into a puddle of thief flavored jello. Another thing, DON’T use Hide in Shadows, ten feet in front of me, I know what it does, and will interrupt it with doom. Stealth first THEN use hide in shadows. Most of all be patient, stealth and take pop shots until you win. We will win if you try to take us head on, but your a thief, do what the class is best at. Finally full evade builds are even more capable of beating a necro than stealth builds, we can still hit you in stealth, if your dodge rolling and evading like a mad man we will struggle to stack any conditions on you.

Ranger: Unfortunately you guys are limited on options as your condition removal is far to weak to handle a good necro. That being said, your fast and can kite a necro down. Longbow is actually decent at beating a necro, stay at max range and cripple, knockback and keep the necro as far away as possible. Condition based tank rangers on the other hand probably won’t win, if your in range to effectively use melee or 900 range weapons, expect to have conditions, and a lot of them. Runes of Melandru + condition duration decreasing food might make it possible though. Also be warned, I tend to stack conditions on your pet and then use epidemic to give them to you. The pet doesn’t dodge, so beware of this.

Engineer: CROWD CONTROL, you have a load of options, rifle, slick shoes, battering ram, magnet, Elixir X. Necro’s aren’t exactly the best class to survive being stunlocked. Elixir X is a powerful elite skill can be a royal pain, and the rifle is also frighteningly good at controlling the battle. Rifle also gives you plenty of damage even on tanky builds. Supply crate will work alright against players that don’t know what it is, everyone else will typically laugh, dodge the stun and walk around the turrets. You also have plenty of ways to handle a necro’s conditions, Elixir C, 409 etc. Now…for what I typically run into…condi engies and various nade engies…I consider these builds a tasty snack, any conditions you decide to apply will promptly be returned to you along with a few new ones. Any good necro WELCOMES enemy conditions, they make us more powerful. If your running a condi engi in a group expect me to use your conditions to kill your teammates. If your an alpha damage based grenade engi, I’ll bet on my jagged horror beating you. Oh and automated response, if this triggers and you happen to also have runes of melandru and condition duration decreasing food, I’ll kill you with life-blast or life-siphon. Though that may help against the hordes of new necros that have appeared.

Warrior: Plenty of options, you can stunlock like a boss as well as kite pretty well. You also have traits and skills that can make you very obnoxious to kill with conditions. (Warhorn condition removal, beserker’s stance, dogged march etc). If your running a full glass build with shake it off as your only condition removal, that’s your own fault. Warrior is a class I would advice to be ultra aggressive, you can down a necro but don’t blow your condition removal on one little bleed, the necro struggles with taking a lot of focus, this is something the warrior can do. May take a bit of practice, but I have no trouble beating even good necros with my warrior. If you panic and let up for even a second though you will lose, the necro will wreck you if you stop pressuring it for even a few seconds. Your a warrior, stand and fight.

As someone using a variant of this build, the idea that it lacks range is hardly true. You do have a pistol and shield, and they do damage. The build above actually does even more damage than mine. This build isn’t a build that will work for your average player, you don’t run up and drop bombs at the lone ranger’s feet. You use the class correctly and you won’t be troubled by rangers or pistol wielding thieves. (I have extensively played my lvl 80 mesmer, necro, thief, ranger, engineer and warrior in WvW and have used both common and uncommon builds on all of them). All of them can be extraordinarily powerful, especially in skilled hands, at the same time they can utterly suck in other’s hands.

Versatility is the ability to adapt and match a situation. This is something the engineer has no shortage of, the rangers are the ones that generally struggle more with this. (Not discounting them at all).

If your fighting something that insists on being at max range at all times, shoot their sorry rear, you have a pistol for a reason. There is always that stupid thief that runs around doing nothing but blinding and using his pistols (generally have foostivoo the merry following them), or the ranger at 1500 that refuses to come closer. Sure, your not probably going to effectively kill them. Few classes are really amazing at knocking off these folks off if their good.

This build is plenty capable of damage, no you won’t be seeing 8k crits, but you will do more than enough damage to down all but the best tanks. (they certainly won’t be downing you either). Its not a build that those obsessed with seeing at least 6k hits at all times will like. And frankly if your dead, your not doing any damage.

Also..last time I checked..most skilled players don’t go run off alone in WvW (thieves/mesmers excluded). WvW is about teamwork, this build is fully capable of it, you have several forms of combo fields, powerful maintenance healing that can render some builds nearly unkillable.

On the topic of D/D elementalists in WvW. Not sure what they actually do other than be slightly annoying, some seem to do damage, but they die easily enough, or they don’t die at all, but generally can be seen running away at ungodly speeds. I’ve seen some pretty effective builds in skilled players hands, but nothing that scares any of my commonly used builds/classes.

Also if range was such an issue for the bomb kit. Half the worlds warriors and guardians would be very sad. After all…if this thread is to be believed you have to have range and massive damage to be good. I’ve met some frighteningly good warriors and guardians that have less range than the bomb kit.

Also if you can’t tell from the salespitch Lurock gave, there was a lot of sarcasm aimed at how whiny these forums actually are. Clearly that was not understood either..

Also, does swapping characters now boot the entire party from the dungeon? As we were all booted when one of our members DC’ed and logged back in on another character.

Maybe he was the one that started the dungeon? Because if the person who started the dungeon dc/s you dont get kicked. Only if his char gets out of the instance (just like swapping).

Thanks, we are aware of that though, the problem was we were very careful to make sure I started the dungeon. The person that DC’ed wasn’t the person that created the instance. I suspect it might have been just a random crash that affected all of us, just hit them first. (The person that DC’ed never dropped connection from our TS server). Just wondering

My guilds opinion after running path 1 and 2 of AC.

Spider Queen:
Not a huge deal, biggest complaint is that the Gargoyle heads at the top still can’t really be hit by melee, which is relatively frustrating if you don’t have a strong ranged class.
The boss isn’t a huge problem, but the duration of the poison fields makes reviving people difficult.

Kohler: Meh. This fight is far easier than before… its not even remotely challenging. He was easy before..now its just boring. His ads do so little damage we just ignored them entirely (and we got the elemenatalist and necro in our fight). His attacks also seem significantly less scary, so he pulls you, walk out of the spin, at least before it was a bad thing to get pulled.

Detha chains. HOLY LAG. 3 of our group were at 15 FPS. This is with high end machines. As in Crysis 3 max graphics machines. Admittedly, this made it a bit harder as gravelings don’t actually seem to render at 15 fps.

Ghost Eater: Really? Great Idea..terrible bugs. Bug 1: Ghost Eater decides to glitch, have to CC him for 5 minutes to unglitch him so he will actually do something. Two of our traps glitched at “fully powered”, but didn’t actually work. Third did, but frustrating.

As for the idea, if the bugs were actually fixed it would probably be decent. Only complaint, his attacks really seem unimpressive. Its basically a glowing spider queen that spits at you. Admittedly these hurt when he occasionally hits you (not as bad as the spider). Seemed to be no variety here tho.

Hodges: Burrow Room (Lag Location #2). Basically the same. Problem we had though, must every graveling pounce be AOE? Either we had invisible gravelings attacking Hodges, or the ones jumping 15 feet away manage to knock him down (far end of the table). Knock them away and he gets back up. Didn’t mess us up but was relatively annoying trying to figure out what he was laying face down in the dirt for.

Howling King: Why in the world would you give him a laser beam? Its dumb and doesn’t fit the boss in the slightest. Not really sure what it did either, we tend to avoid lasers. The more annoying part here is the massive lag combined with knockdowns. Knockdowns to kingdom come are bad enough, invisible lagging gravelings that knockdown are worse. That fight is just frankly annoying…thousands of graveling hatchlings or something would be fine, but I do not appreciate being a pinball. Our 30k hp well necro generally does fine, but when it flies through the air for 30 seconds its a problem. Not all classes get 20 seconds of stability easily… Luckily the fire kills these ads off, but its entirely annoying to revive anyone when they are bouncing around the room…Trying to reserve judgement until the lag that renders half of the gravelings in the room invisible is fixed as that may be the main source of our bouncyball necro issues.

We didn’t get to path 3 as between the lag and bugs we were in no mood to go back for more.

We will reconsider this dungeon once the lag is fixed..until then we can’t play it.
Also, does swapping characters now boot the entire party from the dungeon? As we were all booted when one of our members DC’ed and logged back in on another character.
