Who are KING?

Immortal Kingdom is a high end EU PvE guild on Desolation which focuses on fractals. We have been around since 2013 and have an established active player base with around 50 members.
We are pretty chilled in our atmosphere but expect people to pull their weight within a party and not slack, this includes trait swapping, food swapping and potion swapping for fractals/dungeons.
We always use TS for our runs and expect our members to talk and listen during runs on our own private TS server.
We are a friendly bunch as long as you can take a joke from time to time.

What can you expect from us?

Efficient fractal/dungeon runs completed in quick times with competent players. You can also expect dungeon parties through the day but fractals are more of a general focus in KING.
We are not disrespectful and if you make a mistake we might point it out but won’t make a big deal of it, you should act the same way.
We run guild missions on Sunday 6 PM server time with bounty, rush, challenge and puzzle.

What we expect from you:

We expect you to know your class(es) and respect what other people want to play (not playing your favorite all the time).
You should join on Team Speak for runs with a microphone whilst listening. Also treat others as you would want to be treated, but don’t be afraid to correct others in a polite manner if you wish to help.

Our requirements:

*at least 1 class with full zerk/sin gear using meta builds and 70+ agony resistance which is not mesmer, necromancer or warrior
*using TS at all times while running with guild
*good knowledge of your class(es) and fractals
*we recommend you watch our fractal guides before joining, we expect you to know fractals at the level the guides depict at a minimum.

For the trial you will play in the guild for up to a week, and if considered good enough, you will be called up for a run with someone chosen to evaluate your performance.

I honestly think it is a good idea loot wise, i don’t care about the title/achievement.

Loot chance from players being way higher than in PvE it means more T6 mats from heavy loot bags on the market, dropping the prices in the mid/long term which is good for the community.

It is worth doing at the moment because of the players valuing items the way they do, yet they are extremely farmable this way.

Yes it looks about as kittenkyhammer “rank” farming, but its actually worth doing and has a decent outcome for the global economy, for the people doing it as well as everyone else.

I would really like to see something for having every legendary. Not really sure why the achieve stops after binding 5. Would be really cool to get some sort of recognition for having them all. I was pretty pleased with Twice Told Legend as I like the title and wear it often. But were talking every legendary in game. Should really be a momentous feat that is awarded. I have them all as well as my wife has them all. Not saying we need more auras, but something like a title, trinket, or my favorite idea would be a Permanent Hero’s Banner with a 1 hour cool down. Just my 2 cents.

A perma hero’s banner with a very cool effect would indeed be extremely nice!

Since a Legendary is suppose to be the pinnacle of aesthetic achievements in the the game I’d like to see something big for getting them all.

Maybe a free Series 2 Legendary, a colored name tag, and 1000 gems.

or

The player’s choice of Infinite Total Makeover Kit, Infinite Black Lion Access, or Infinite Bank Access.

Seems like it should be epic in nature not matter what it is.

Something really nice and cosmetic / convenient would be nice.

But if it is too over the top it will cause major complaints like every other “exclusive endgame” type of content.

But a title, an aura trinket, a unique cool back item with a cool aura etc would imo be the right balance between effort and rewards without upsetting the community.

They already force-fed us APs for Twice Told Legend. This…. collection idea… reward no APs if someone collects all leggies and people will complain that they weren’t rewarded with any APs, or, as others have already stated.. implement the APs and the hunters will complain of it being ridiculous/grindy/too difficult etc.

Honestly wouldn’t care if it rewarded APs or not; a simple ‘one title to rule them all’ deems fit enough for this kind of collection. I don’t have many idea(s) on this kind of topic that would make it a win-win scenario for all players.

There again the goal would be to avoid the Black Lion Collection & Twice Told Legend situation, but i do think having a Legendary Collection would give people something to look forward to in the mid/long run “One day i’ll have that cool Title/Effect!” type of thing.

Agreed on the fact that it should be a thing to look forward to. Too many people sour when it comes to things they cannot achieve/obtain quickly or easily. Life isn’t supposed to be easy.

Fool! The Legendary Collection already exists.

In order to unlock it, you need to get a special unique drop that only appears in a very obscure and specific part of the game. It has a 0.001% drop rate.

Then you take this drop, and you combine it with a Bloodstone Shard, Gift of Battle, and Gift of Exploration.

Then you double-click the now account bound Legendary Collection Unlocker.

I wish that were true!

I’m actually surprised you’re not in favour of this, Malediktus. I’d have thought you’d be all over another chance to boost your AP/get another exclusive mini/item. After all, you did complete all the Black Lion Weapon collections and the Dungeoneer collection by your own admission.

And that is exactly why i brought this up, because it would be nice for people who already have the collection, give people something cool to look forward to in a near/far future, and if it is implemented in a non-invasive way for AP collectors it would be really nice to see a cool title or a back skin/necklace w/ aura that rewards players.

Its too late to change Twice Told Legend now. A lot of AP collectors built legendaries for that one already.
But yes its stupid that a duplicate legendary will give as much AP kitten unique legendaries. But just as much sense as 3 sets of ascended armor = 100 AP. Anet just has no clue about AP distribution because they just spawn all the stuff with their dev commands.

I just hope that at some point we get some form of reward for collecting all legionaries and fractal weapons etc.

I still believe that just giving a title or something “cool” like an aura item is the best way to go for this.

But the question would be would people complain at that level of reward?

All this would do is making precursors and t6 mats even more expensive. You are only suggesting this because you already have the whole collection.

That is exactly why i made this thread, if it is to be implemented the reward should be very minor, and the achievement not impact other collectors.

I don’t see people who maxed Legendary Collector at 5 making another 15 in a massive rush for a title or a skin.

The eventuality that it could also be implemented with the long talked about precursor crafting would be very nice to ensure a drop in precursors price.

In that matter having Twice Told legend award achievement points is worse in my opinion as it messes with AP hunters.

Do you really think Anet would make this an achievement without AP? Even Black lion collections give AP :/

I hope they would in order to preserve the AP competition which they are trying to encourage and for which they even have a leader board.

Imho, Twice Told Legend should be a 0 AP achievement and if the legendary collection should be implemented, the reward should be purely cosmetic and still be attached to a 0 AP achievement.

Otherwise you just turn the AP competition in a form of “Pay to Win” where the people who played the TP the most would get the edge.

1.3 mil bags = 5,200 stacks = nearly 78,000 Gold.
Lets say you are getting half of your gold back, that is still 36,000 gold down the drain to get one mini pet.
This is a very unrealistic goal for an item that will available for 2 weeks, after which the supply of it will decrease significantly.

I have 8 legendaries and ALL minipets except this one, I dont think the sum of every thing on my account even comes close to the price you have paid for this Mini.

And apparently you just fat finger the game.

The first 48h you were making 120-150% profit from opening bags and selling the cobs, the fact that i went for three days wasthanks to that.

Having 8 legendaries means that you should have SOME knowledge on how to manage and invest gold through the TP, and the release of new content is always a great occasion for that.

Overall if you wish to know tho i lost about 2600g which is fine as you can make way more when the patch ends, or with the 18th Nov skins removal.

If it is legendary most likely you will be able to change the stats and/or it will have a very nice aura/effect.

You guys going on and on about comparing Gwynefrydd to a precursor drop rate, just for argument’s sake, i proved that you can easily get 2 of them.

And over the 2 years i have been playing i only got 4 precursors.

It is NOT EVEN CLOSE. Precursors are way, WAY, WAY, more rare.

Its easy to get a god darn Gwynefrydd, just spend less time complaining more ingame doing 1h of Lab, 1h of Maize Balm farm, rinse n repeat.

You guys are crying a river making up numbers now? This is EXACTLY why i suggested instead of making senseless noise, if you wanted to make your point more accurate to record the amount of bags opened and make a GD spreadsheet on Google docs to document the drop rate.

So far it seems way closer to 100k, as i said my first one was EXTREMELY unlucky if you can actually read, and the 2nd one was indeed around 100k.

But hey i will leave you at your tantrums and just hope that someday you do put in some thought on getting what you want.

And, even if it was around 1/100k, would be good for you? Would be good for you spending around 5000g and losing more than the 80% of them (by looking at the value of the various items) to get an account bound minipet? Are you serious man? If yes you’d better visiting someone to help you learning some math.

Between Cobs, Balms, Cookies and vendoring stacks of Fangs/Skulls/Nougat you get about 80%-90% depending on if you list or direct sell back.

So your mini would cost you about 10% of your massive 5kg investement, aka 500g.

But hey, math right!

What would you guys think of a collection for all Legendaries – some of us already have the complete collection and have been expecting this – which would, of course not reward any achievement points – in order not to upset the AP leaderboard – but maybe give a nice title or a unique back skin, or even an ascended necklace w/ an effect.

I’m thinking that gathering general feedback would maybe give the devs some ideas that wouldn’t upset some niche players or even the general population – because imo this has the potential to.

GUILD WARS 2 RAIDS

Raids in Guild Wars 2 are completely different to that in other MMORPGs. There is no “Holy Trinity” so encounter mechanics have to be tailored to everyone helping each other.
We wanted raids to differ from the world boss content therefore each raid will have a portal in the zone the raid is situated.


UNLOCKING RAIDS & ACCESSABILITY

Raids in Guildwars2 are a guild activity.
We decided to do this to encourage a higher level of communication and organisation between players so you can take on this increased challenge and promote competition between guilds.

  • New guild upgrades category: RAID
    1. Research Raid (Mordremoth’s Lair) Unlock – 10000 Influence over 1 week
    2. Research Raid (Tower of the Dead) Unlock – 20000 Influence over 1 week
  • This is the one time research to unlock the raid.
  • Guild Raid (Mordremoth’s Lair) 3 days – 200 Influence.
    (This opens the raid instance for 3 days for your guild.)
  • The Instance area is only accessible to guild the members while the guild buff is activated.

PEOPLE, CAPACITY & SCALING

There are small guilds and there are big guilds, each community of players varies in size and we can cater for both with instance scaling. Like any open world encounter it scales to the amount of players in the event, your guild instance will dynamically scale to the players inside.

  • Only guild members can access this instance.
  • 10 person minimum and content scales up to the map capacity of 150 people.
  • While encounters inside the raid are in progress it will not scale down, so don’t die!

RAID CONTENT: BOSSES

Raid content in Guildwars2 is hard.
Unlike most world bosses each encounter will be uniquely tailored to challenge your skill as a team and an individual.

  • Hard boss fights with multiple phases.
  • Unique roles for individual players such as; kiting, pressure plates, jumping puzzles, cannon firing, etc.
  • Each boss has at least one attack that ignores agis and downstate to instantly kill you. Beware!
  • If a boss is rooted to the ground there will be a reason for it.
    (no more dragons standing still.)

RAID CONTENT: ENCOUNTERS

Events and regular foes throughout the raid instance are interesting and unique mini encounters no longer trash in which you skip or run past.

  • All foes will no longer leash to their origin, they will now pursue relentlessly until you or they are killed.
  • Some creatures can sense you through stealth, so hiding won’t work!
  • Loot table with; unique and rare drops, raid currency, mystic forge components and mini pets.

PROGRESSION

There is no gear treadmill in Guildwars2 so content is gated by how well you can work as a team and navigate the mechanics of the encounter. To progress in this new raid environment you must overcome each challenge as it comes.

  • As content gets harder you must get better and you are rewarded for your effort.
  • As new raid content is released the older raids will be rebalanced to make it more accessible
  • The currency based rewards are high while the content is at its newest.

Well the game has been out for two years now, they have always favored a heavy RNG based system for most of the “endgame” rewards, so it really is nothing new to me, it would be like starting to play Wildstar or any othe challenging raid based mmo and complaining not being able to finish the raids because they are too hard.

Its just the direction some games take for their endgame, and in this case yes i would rather have had my mini for 1000 Cobs, sure, but the point is if you put in the work you are pretty much guaranteed to get it over a long period of time/effort, while some people get really lucky and get it very quickly.

I’m fine with this system, but coming clean on the drop rates of items, the diminishing return systems and the way MF works and what it actually affects would make it more comprehensive and allow us to come up with more accurate strategies to get said rewards.

What do festival rewards have to do with endgame and what is the similarity between complaining about hard content in another game and complaining about RNG in this one?

Well the game has been out for two years now, they have always favored a heavy RNG based system for most of the “endgame” rewards, so it really is nothing new to me, it would be like starting to play Wildstar or any othe challenging raid based mmo and complaining not being able to finish the raids because they are too hard.

Its just the direction some games take for their endgame, and in this case yes i would rather have had my mini for 1000 Cobs, sure, but the point is if you put in the work you are pretty much guaranteed to get it over a long period of time/effort, while some people get really lucky and get it very quickly.

I’m fine with this system, but coming clean on the drop rates of items, the diminishing return systems and the way MF works and what it actually affects would make it more comprehensive and allow us to come up with more accurate strategies to get said rewards.

There are lots of reasons why the fractal thing is a bad comparison. For one the fractal thing, you can only get 1 fractal chest a day.

You claim you opened over 1 million bags.

Using your logic you should only complain about the fractal thing after you’ve opened 1 million daily fractal chests.

Your lack of logic, common sense and the density of your mind baffles me at every post.

Using my logic, one of you lot should start a spreadsheet and record the Gwynefrydd drops vs the amount of bags opened.

Then if you want to compare it to fractals, you will have time after the patch is over when you only get one Maize Balm a day

I guess you’re obligated to after supposedly opening 1mil+ bags.

And a spreadsheet isn’t needed because it’s impossible to verify peoples claims (like yours) of how many they actually opened for one.

And I don’t need to compare anything to fractals because I don’t care about fractals.

Then please proceed to cry some more, stomp your feet in a fit of rage and whatever else is appropriate.

I’m actually not crying out at all. Just pointing out glaring flaws in the logic being applied.

And I really couldn’t care less about the mini, too. But I have friends that do. Friends who don’t have the time or inclination to open 1million + bags.

Then i shall pray for their luck and if i ever get to a near mmo death experience again i will backhand slap Zommoros again in their names.

Guild leader opened 1.12 million bags and finally got it :P

Opened 1.12m bags, and got:

1 Gwynefrydd
1 Black Necklace
2 Green Necklaces
3 Endless Batwing Tonics
2 Gift of Spiders
71 Zuzus
13,5k Wrappers (approx)
3 Legendary Luck

so assuming the necklaces, bat tonics, legendary luck, gifts and Gwynefrydd are on the same loot table, it was probably just bad luck on my side.

But hey, finally got it

Maybe I get something wrong and this is some kind of joke…
But where did you get these 1.12 mln bags?
Or where did you get ~67.000 gold to buy it? Or, may be, 8000(+ ~8000more) hours to grind it? Or even ~4000+ slots to store it? Share a secret. So far everything points to the fact that you.. how to put it mildly… a bit exaggerating

Buy 2 rows of 10 stacks, open, vendor yellow craftable, make cobs, save Balm & Cookies, delete rest, rinse & repeat for 3 days, the first few days were actually a profit for the resell value on cobs/zuzus/pillow cases/etc, i only started losing money the last day and a half.

But in the end i did end up in the negative by quite a bit gold wise.

The most time consuming thing especially doing this for 12h+ a day is deleting dragonite/fragments/food and especially the finishers since the names have to be typed in.

It really isn’t rocket science you know….

And how much time, approximately, takes one repeat of this “ritual”?

For those of you who don’t want/know how to set it up you don’t even need to macro, you can also just set your mouse wheel to click – and for the time being use PageUp/Page/Down to control your camera – still 5s/stack.

You are just trying to make arguments because you claim to be hardcore collectors, but yet aren’t willing to spend a couple days to get the item you say to desire so much.

And probably mad that i did just to prove a point.

ProTip: Spend less time complaining on forums, spend more time ingame and you will get the kitten Ghost Doge. Such Ghost. Very Doge. Much Awsome. Wow.
Every bag you don’t open is one less chance of getting it.

Point is: If they fix this issue, they better fix the other issues that relate to the same exact problem – including fractals – because this will be the 3rd time that they will have complied to a very small % of the overall population QQ’ing on a forum thread while ignoring the fractal issue.

So to be clear your current argument is "if they don’t fix this for fractal? Why fixin it for mini ?

How thick are you? There is no argument but a point being made.

If they fix the drop rate on this – and believe me they will, they always do – i’m laying the founding bricks to show them that this issue relates in the same exact way to fractals.

That is why i set myself to get the pet no matter how many bags it took, to show that:

1 – it exists
2 – the drop rate is as bad as fractal tonic
3 – when people see the numbers they will QQ like they did for Chaos & Mini Monkey.
4 – make the link between both contents on one they will actually fix.
5 – show that we put and are willing to put WAY more effort than most of the people they fix stuff for like yourself in a more consistent way too, and that yet, they ignore our requests but concede to yours.

Fractal is permanent content: that festival loot table is not.
Btw stop the act with fractal being hard.

Trick or treat bags with this loot table will be available for the next 12 months with a reduced way of getting them every day.

I set myself the goal to open bags until i got the mini, and did it, over 3 days, long days sure, but it only took 3 days and quite a lot of lost gold with the reselling of the materials.

So yes, if you stop wasting time on the forums QQing and spend gold like you said on bags and open them, just be consistent and you will get it just like i did and others did. gg.

PS: Liadri is kitten easy. Has always been.

Well, that’s and end for me, I’ll wait for ArenaNet and a fix of the droprate.

I just mentioned how ridiculous the reactions for a mini that is attainable atm for some gold/effort are when we have been after a tonic for 1 year +.

The whole point is why fix one minor bad aspect of the game when a couple players cry a river because they want the reward without spending the time/effort/resources – which is fine, everyone has different gameplay schedules – and not one that has been asked for fixing for soon to be a full year when unlike what you guys are doing here, we provided accurate numbers and data, valid options with measured quantification as to fix the fractal issue.

That’s a little difficult to do if it never drops.

You already have two names – look on the screenshot i posted – of players who have it, thanks to that if you contact the 2nd player and ask how many bags he opened before he got it, your estimated droprate will be twice as accurate.

Then you can just ask in LA/Lab map chats every now and then, people will be glad to contribute as it takes them less than 5 seconds to tell you how many bags they opened.

So there you go, free advice, not that time consuming, if you want it SO much, just be part of the solution, complaining only results in being part of the problem mate

Also taking 1 result as an avrege droprate isn’t the smartest of things to do.
You might want to start a google docs spreadsheet and record people who have gotten it, that way you will have an avrege % backed up by actual data which will make your suggestion to revamp the droprate, which i am fine with btw, more valid.

If you want it that badly, get involved, contribute, find out the actual avrege droprate.

I am just expressing an opinion as stated multiple times, and making points of comparaison with existing similar content and rewards throughout the endgame of Guild Wars 2 to try and get my point across.

“I need it and i want it now!” isn’t the mentality of mini collector.

I was fine with the monkey king at 2000 gold and low drop rate at dry top.
Because I could play the game and expect a lucky drop or just buy it on the tp.

I was fine with the liadri mini being behind the hardest event in the game.

This mini have all the drawback:
– In a bag so you doesn’t actually play the game.
– account bound so no buying it on the tp.
– link to a limited event.
– abysmal drop rate.

That mini ask playing time fine but just not like that.

I am glad to see your answer, as it reassures me over the mentality of people posting here

If you look at my first post on this thread, i did open a metric ton, but i also said i was almost 100% sure i was having TERRIBLE luck while opening the bags.

Look at the attachement i took just now walking in a random Lion’s Arch, i’ve seen quite a few of them since yesterday, they aren’t as rare to see as the mini Karaka or something else.

It would be nice if we could compile the ammount of bags that have been opened by the people who have it, to get a more accurate representation of the actual drop list.
Because as you saw, some people got it at 3k, i got it at 1.12m, too few people contributed to the data gathering for us to say “Yes, it takes that ammount to get”.

At least in fractals, and running around looking for precursors, you’re actually playing the game, getting exp and a whole slew of other things.
This is just clicking bags with no end in sight.

Well, except the bottom of your coin-purse, and whenever the RSI becomes unbearable.

We have the highest opened fractal chests in the world in KING right now – since 20/05 and even with the “fixed droprate” reset – even compared to SC/LoD/etc spreadsheet.

Precursors have an equal chance of dropping from everywhere, all you get are useless rings, and useless armor/weapon chests 90% of the time with the occasional Raider’s Shoulders/Boots or Zojja’s Weapon chest every month, and Weapon Skins you already have.

To me, the trick or treat bags offer more value/rewards than fractals in general due to the nature and quantity of the items they grant even aside from the very rare items.

It all comes down to what you want/need, but the insane ammount of luck and dragonite alone from ToT bags seems way better for me. Plus if you farm the Lab and take breaks every hour to let the DRs reset, you get a very solid ammount of bags, T6 mats, and the Haloween Champ Bags which “supposedly” have a higher chance to drop the very rare items like Gwynefrydd, the Poly necklaces, etc.

Its not all about opening bags but also making the most out of this festival if you take a more laid back approach than i did.

Well you play in fractal, you doesn’t open thousand of bag.

I play in fractal, AND, i opened 1.12m bags to get the mini. Check up the thread.

And as a side note, and to clarify something, i never said anything about people being deserving or not, i just pointed out that this whole game is based on RnG and the endgame end up being the ridiculous drop rate items.
People just seem to forget almost all the endgame is based on that system, and on this instance since i put in the effort to get it, i feel like i can firmly say, if you want it, you will get it, it takes time, like everything else.
The general attitude is what bothers me a bit, this whole “I need it and i want it now!”.
Just my opinion, i wanted to share and make it clear, my goal isn’t to offend anyone, just to reassure people that yes it drops, yes it will take time, but yes at some point if you are consistant you will get what you aim for.
It’s sad people forgot about that.

I’d reactr exactly like i’m reacting to the fractal tonic, meh, farm it every day and call it my daily dose of dissapointement but keep up with it and be consistant – some day i’ll get it and i’ll be even more satisfied because of the time it took.

But u’d have a fractal weapon skin type of issue, getting precursors that you don’t want – for ex. The Legend when you only play war/theif – and that is what would make me upset, not the RnG accountbound part, i deal with that every day with FotM.

This game is based on ridiculous RnG anyways, its really nothing new to me.

My 5,4k hours played, complete legendary collection, world first fractal 50, king tournament organizing, full 85 ar all classes, holy quinity with stat cap infusions, etc, etc, are so casual, i’m sorry.

No one cares how much stuff you did and how much time you put into the game. There will always be different kinds of people playing this game which have less time and let’s say don’t value AR that much than you.

Saying those don’t deserve something is seriously self entitled and you should reconsider your way of thinking. Everyone deserves a fair shot at something, no matter if they play 2 hours a day max or 24/7.

Also, if you keep your replies to stupid memes then just do us a favor and stop posting at all. I think I don’t have to remind you of the forum rules which you agreed on, eh? Your posts are a prime exapmle of “against the rules”.

Back to the topic, there are (Except for like 3 people) only people here who share the mindset of “this Mini droprate is way too low”. I think that should be indication enough for the devs to get back and take a look at the ToT bags this year. It was stated that festival releases should be about having fun and relaxing between the LS releases – The current grinding needed for part of the event right now doesn’t fit with that statement at all.
Also I might want to add that GW is pretty dang old right now and follows principles of MMO “gameplay” which have been long overhauled since then because of how much fun (That’s sarcasm btw) they are. Current MMOs don’t value RNG even close to that amount right now and as GW2 is happening right now it shouldn’t either. Clinging to “it’s the same as in GW so it’s fine” doesn’t help anyone. Especially not the minors that are allowed to play this game (USK 12 here).

You guys call yourselves collectors, put in the effort, don’t start complaining after 5 days when the said mini will be here all year round, and don’t act so spoiled an entitled.

But hey i’m just an uber casual, what do i know, right?
