Is it just me or does this game involve no strategy other than running back to the boss everytime you die?

the boss fights are Horribly balanced. some people think that it’s actually “challenging”.( like Anet and some players) GW2 bosses are the definition of “Artificial Difficulty”. they’re tuned to make the fight last longer.they pack the bosses with tons of health and outrages amount of damage.boss fight mechanics here boil down to dodging attack and hitting boss for 5mins or more(Tazza,spider boss in TA exp ect.). or bosses being so easy.
these"hardcore" players need to play games like Demon’s Souls and Monster Hunter. because that’s what Anet took some stuff from.Anet needs to remember you can only dodge twice.throwing you mobs and that do AoEs or 1 hit shots is not challenging.
games like Dark Souls and monster Hunter reward you by doing the the boss fight correct. if you hit the boss in the right place,he goes down fast.bosses have 1 hit kill moves. that are obvious when they’re about to cast/do it.
really good example is the boss fight in AC explore mode. the path with the lizards.first boss has a one hit kill move. fight is fairly simple and still challenging.he can wipe the whole group if everyone is not careful.
also bosses in these other games are rewarding. they challenge you to cut off their tail/different parts before killing them. you get a better reward for doing so.
like the Title reads. MMOs have lots of room to grow. i see people that come onto the forum to give constructive criticism or give suggestion on how to better the game. some good,some bad. but there’s always that one person that thinks the game is perfect as it is. they don’t go into detail on why said idea/feedback shouldn’t be implemented/fixed. all they say is “The MMO is fine as it is”.
you think WoW started with all those features it has? no. people discussed and gave ideas. “hey wouldn’t it be cool if we could have X?” or “this MMO would benefit is we could do Y.”
some of you people give me Deja vu. you guys remind me of the SWtor forums. people were so blinded to see the MMO was missing key features and would benefit from some new ones. but lots of people would just down shot ideas. with comments like " It’s a Feature" or “the game is fine as it is”," “if that MMO has that feature,why don’t you go and play it?”. i asked for a refund 1 week after release. i saw that MMO and community going nowhere.
this is an MMO. nothing is set in stone.if someone comes with a suggestion on how to grow or be better. they’re not telling you the game is bad.there’s no need to be over protective. it would be better to explain why it’s not a good idea. saying " the game is fine as it is",is not a solid answer.discuss and go into details on why you think it’s not a good idea.
the devs need feedback from everything.
don’t run dungeons.
the rewards are not worth the effort. doing a “challenging” boss ( they just give bosses a ton of damage and HP) don’t give a reward enough to warrant trying to kill him after 4+ wipes.
i hear people having problem with the last boss. some even stayed 2 hours trying to kill him. what kind of reward does he have to warrant 2 hours in a dungeon?
these dungeon aren’t challenging. they’re just Artificially Difficult.
Artificial Difficulty =/= Challenging Difficulty
they pack bosses with tons of HP. that the fight becomes tedious and boring.when bosses can drag for more than 5mins.because of the amount of HP they have.

the new patch makes you grind dungeons even more. while yes,they will take more time. they nerfed CoF 2nd Route Tokens by 5. meaning people will have to run more of that dungeon to get the gift or dungeon set.
there is reward for doing a easy route to a so called “difficult”. you get the same amount of tokens and xp. the dungeons feel like they were made to farm.
and don’t do anything about the Botters in Cursed Shore or FrostGorge….

i don’t think Anet knows what Challenging means.from what I’ve seen it means giving Trash mobs a 1 shot attacks. the bosses go from Easy Fight Mechanics,to actual Challenging Fight Mechanics,to just really really awful game mechanics.
take for example Tazza from SE exp. the fight is so simple. but Anet decided to pack Tazza with TONS of Health Points.the fight takes 5mins+ or more.this in no way is Challenging.the fight becomes boring and tedious. it shows how bad your Fight Mechanics are. you just packed Tazza up with tons of HP and called it a day.
a good and actual Challenging Dungeon is AS exp. the path with those Lizard thing.the first boss actually requires you to be on your feet the whole time. if you miss that Dodge you get 1 shotted. it’s not the games fault,it’s yours.the boss goes down fairly quickly if the fight is done right. there is a chance the the whole group could wipe.then you have the second boss. where you have to activate those traps. it’s satisfying mechanics.you have 2 guys up and 1 guy down, with 2 tanks in the bottom.
Dungeons like TA exp. where the Flowers will kill you more than the bosses. i tried to actually find a group that fights the trash mobs.nobody wants to fight those trash mobs. everyone prefers to run pass the trash while trying to dodge the gas the plants emit.the trash is not the problem is the plants. they become an annoyance.running pass them to the end,get you to the boss faster. you don’t have to spend 5mins + killing trash get worrying about the plants respawning.
some of your game mechanics are not difficult. they’re cheap death mechanics. trying to trick people into thinking they’re are difficult.i think Anet is caught up in being “THAT MMO with HARDCORE DUNGEONs” that they will do anything to look Harcore.
just look at Arah and CoE exp. those dungeons are empty. they have some of the worst game mechanics in game.you get the feeling like you’re being punished for just go inside a dungeon.this is not the what “Challenging” is.
there is no real reward for doing a so called "challenging"boss/route. you get the same reward as if you took the faster/not broken route.
learning that i will have to farm Exp TA and CoE exp for The Predator Mats.i will have to venture into TA exp almost everyday.i kinda lost interest in the game.the reason is that TA exp has one of the worse cheap death mechanics in the game.(the plants) people just run pass the trash to the end. they don’t want to fight the trash and worry about instantly dying to those plants.in no way is the hardcore.this game design is really cheap and horrible.it gets in the way of enjoying the actual game.
i played games like Demon’s/Dark Souls and Monster Hunter, and in none of those game have a game mechanic so cheap like this.

what is up with CoE exp? i can NEVER find a group for it. do people know it exist? let me guess? the dungeon is filled with more Artificial difficult bosses (trash/bosses with simple or no fight mechanics with TONS of HP)and trash mobs.
this is getting ridiculous. i found out that people only farm 2 bosses in Arah exp and reset.
the Fight Against the Giganticus Lupicus is bugged. the boss will summon Grubs on top of Mesmers Illusions.this is problematic since the Illusions will be in melee range of the boss. the fight mechanic is to not let the boss eat/get near any grubs or he gains a Power buff and Shield.so Mesmers have to sit and do nothing. since their class mechanics consist of summoning Illusions.
also the Second phase is really really awfully hard.
