I have raided at high levels in WoW. My gaming life became far more casual with the birth of my son, now a 3 year old tornado. I haven’t raided at all in gw2 yet because I never liked to just pug and hope to fall into a good raiding group. I would love to get into the raids with a solid raid leader.
I love the Druid elite spec. To me, it fits the ranger class identity perfectly. The staff offers so much. The Druid tree itself allows us huge flexibility to fit any build type. There could a be some improvements, but that is always the case.
Big ups to the class designers, I think you did a fantastic job.
Not everyone is unhappy with Arenanet even though you might not know it by reading these forums.
Every time I change maps or log out and in, the top of my two active pets always resets to my starting pet, the pink moa. I even set pink moa as the bottom of the two active pets then logged out now, I have two pink moas I can swap between!!!
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Personally, I find my thief the most fun in WvW. I can switch specs between a high damage zerg spec and a solo roaming condition spec and both are very fun and effective.
In other games I have played, it was possible for one great player to have an effect on battles to such a degree that you simply couldn’t ignore their impact. I find GW2 and its lack of a trinity, offering everyone the ability to heal/dps/cc, makes players less distinguishable for their individual play.
The long and short of it is:
Working well as a group is much more important than one person playing one profession well, pick a class you enjoy playing and play it. Be a good commander for maximum battlefield impact.
PM me if you would like some specifics on specs.
I prefer dagger storm because, from my perspective, Thieve’s Guild is more of a 1v1 duel winner rather than large scale, multi enemy ability. The 8 second projectile reflect is quite potent in WvW.
As far as Cloak and Dagger being a high initiative cost, when you land the skill you get 2 initiative back from the talent Shadow Arts V. So 4 initiative for your stealth/ health regeneration /and a daze opener is relatively conservative for the performance.
As for not relying on quickness… I welcome not relying on a 45sec cd to kill people. The main hand sword attack and regular Dancing Dagger and Cloak and Dagger attacks bring potent damage along with staying power.
I regularly kill multiple people at the same time and I can fight right in the middle of large groups of enemies with well timed dodges along with the stealth and healing.
I welcome comments from people who have experienced this build, either playing as/with/ or against it.

My build is centered around massive self regeneration from stealth, the sword’s 1 attack, and restealthing constantly with cloak and dagger and reopening with the daze.
With your constant restealth you are able to keep 100% uptime on regeneration for yourself, plus while stealthed you regain a hefty amount of health. You also bring some heavy healing to the table with Shadow Refuge(Normal 5 sec regen hot+stealth hot+Shadow Refuge heal for you, for others Shadow Refuge heal and the 5sec regeneration).
This healing keeps you in fights and the constant daze openers keeps someone locked down pretty hard. I can easily 3v1 and I can also pick people off from large groups without having to disengage combat for more than just restealths.
I personally run full Berserker armor and jewels/accessories and have no problem with survivability.
I’m interested in some feedback after some of you try this out, or if you are already doing this.
Update:
I have been playing this same spec with D/D and its working amazingly well.

Okay so…. I guess I had to click the option “Search Elsewhere” rather than canceling the dialog.
Solved!
Quest:
The Floating Grizwhirl
Step:
Investigate the Stables
I have repeated the quest up to this point several times. I go into the stables and use all of the objects able to be interacted with and kill all the spiders but nothing moves me past this quest objective.
I don’t see how I’m missing something. Has anyone had a similar problem? Can you tell me what I’m missing?
