This is the only profession I play.
HGH’s tooltip states that you get 2 stacks of might per elixir. Tossing elixirs on the tool belt only gets you one stack, even though the tooltip says 2.
Is that a bug or what?
PvE’ers should git gud and learn how to play the game before coming into tPvP. Play HotJoin.
The current leaderboards are ridiculous. I just saw a guy who hadn’t played in 2 months go from 20% to 93% after winning one game. What? The completely defeats the point of decay.
I see people in the top 500 with losing records. There is one in the 100 as I write this. How?
Are we going to see a better leaderboard soon?
It’s more dependent on WHO you’re beating, than how often you’re winning.

Basically engi bunker decap build is too good to decap a point and to hard to kill in 1vs1, so in a conquest mode this is a big problem.
What i’ll do (without change any CD):
Air Blast – improve animation (more readable) and add a little timecast
Net Shot -improve animation (more readable) and add a little timecast
Overcharged Shot – improve animation (more readable)
Air Blast – I also use this to deflect projectiles. Adding a cast time will make this kittened.
Net Shot – You can SEE the net flying at you. Git gud.
Overcharged Shot – If you see an Engineer with a Rifle running up into your grill, THEY ARE GOING TO OCSHOT YOU.
In summation — Git gud.

Yeah tooltip has been bugged for turrets some time now to make it look like they scale with power.
I guess I’m the big noob.
Wow. I gotta test this when I get home. Last time I tried it only the tooltips changed and not the actual damage. If they actually fixed that it could be a game changer.

With no power your Thumper won’t do much damage.
Power doesn’t increase the damage of any turret at all.
I just logged in real quick to verify that — with my amulet on my Thumper Turret hits for ~645, with it off, ~349.
Same for my Rocket Turret
Amulet On: ~1452
Amulet Off: ~786
I run turrets myself.
With no power your Thumper won’t do much damage. You might consider going with Net. The immobilize messes with people a lot, and you can hold them in place for burns and condition application.
Also, 20 points into Tools and no Speedy Kits? It’s so good.
The passive regen on turrets isn’t the great, they’re still going to get killed — and fast (not so much the Thumper, but it’ll still go down). If you’re going for a tanky build, you might consider picking up the traits that grant Protection on crit and CC. Protection Injection in particular is a beast.
The only other problem I can foresee is that you have next to no Condition Removal and no Automated Response.

Why do you hate bunkers? The whole point of them is that you have to bring friends to dislodge them from a point. Making points get nuted no matter who owns it would just make sure almost no points would be scored by holding a point.
Utilize pushbacks, launches and immobilizes to counter a bunker, rather than simply killing. It’s really easy.
Traits:
Never take cloaking device if you’re going to be on points.
I don’t like backpack regenerator. Simply doesn’t heal enough. Trade it out for Invigorating Speed, maybe?
Good number of pushbacks, but Juggernaut isn’t that cool. I use a flamethrower myself, but I use it for everything except its attack. I would move that into Alchemy for Automated Response. It’s so good.
Condition Removal looks like it may be a problem for you. Healing Turret only removes 2 when you overcharge it.
Sigils and Runes:
I used Melandru for a little while. It’s pretty okay.
I disagree with Superior Force. You wouldn’t be rocking Shaman if you were concentrating on damage, and 5% on top of that would barely be noticeable. Go with a Condition Duration one, maybe?
Superior Energy… If you decide to go with Invigorating Speed this’ll just be overkill. I use Hydromancy myself. The Chill messes with melee classes cooldowns and speed. Or maybe you just want to dodge forever. Sounds troll-y.

I’m not sure what that has to do with anything. The point is that straight-up five-on-five fights aren’t that common because splitting is made more possible by conquest’s mechanics.
what if, the current conquest’s mechanic were changed, so that people split less?
for example,
- capturing points is much slower with less people
- begin capturing if you have more people
- much more team points for kills

I would contest you made this thread to “take it to the man”. However I suspect you don’t fully consider the consequences of a thread like this.

I’ve always wanted to mess with Elixir Infused Bombs, but I was reading your build, they don’t seem to heal that much! Also you have to be actively setting bombs. So I would think the trait is trying to pigeonhole you into staying on Bomb Kit.
I fell into the same trap with Juggernaut and the Flamethrower.
I like the Elixir Gun with Fireforged Trigger and Cleaning Formula 409. Also with the Flamethower Tool Belt skill I can apply (if they all hit) ~10 seconds of burning, combined with Bleeds, Weakness, Vulnerability, Poison, and I can Heal and remove conditions from my friends.
As a bunker Engineer, I find myself getting CC’d a lot. Having the ability to take off conditions and have a pretty okay heal that also pulses is really handy.
- Default 5v5 hotjoin.
- Fix the queuing system so when I play with my only friend (so lonely ;_;) we don’t play against MLGPRO 5-man teams on TS/Vent/Kissing each other in the same room.
-Diminishing returns on CC.
-Buff Engineers. (anet pls)
-Delete Skyhammer.
Because it would eliminate tons of viable strategies without much in return. Bunkers and bruisers would greatly diminish in value. Doing tons of damage would take precedence over clever surviving. Most fights would be about zerging instead of splitting teams in a coordinated, intelligent manner. It would make it more difficult for someone who’s winning an outnumbered fight to get a cap, even though that kind of situation deserves a huge reward.
One of the few genius moves on ArenaNet’s end is to make conquest not work like you suggested. The game is much better and skillful because of it.

I don’t agree with removing hotjoin, I play it when I’m tweaking my build and such, and if I’m waiting for friends to run dungeons or something (I don’t do PvE no mo’).
But make it 5v5. 8v8 is way too hectic to even tell what’s going on a lot of the time, you can’t get any kind of strategy off the ground aside from zerging people, and that’s not even how the tPvP format is.
TL;DR: Keep hotjoin, make it 5v5, also get rid of Skyhammer.
