I’ve looked through several threads with people asking what I’m about to, and none have provided me with an answer.

The question: When will the other stat combos be released for the Prototype Fractal Capacitor’s?

My main character is a guardian using the cleric’s stat combo (power/toughness/healing), and it’s frustrating to know that none of the ascended back pieces have that stat combo. Knowing that ascended stats are better than exotic, I feel as though my guardian is not at its full potential. My guardian is also my main character for running Fractals, and my build is getting all messed up by having to sacrifice certain stats for more agony resistance to do higher level fractals. Heck, I can’t even infuse my ascended rings because the recipes aren’t in the mystic forge, so I have to hope I get an infused version as a daily drop from one of the higher fractal tiers.

So, to any ANet moderators that may come across, please, give me your best answer as to when new stat combos will be released for the Prototype Fractal Capacitors (I want the pretty shiny final version!).

EDIT: If this is posted in the wrong place, sorry. I wasn’t sure where to put this, and all the other threads I read were spread throughout the forums.

In the gem shop under “Upgrades,” there’s an upgrade for bank tab expansions. I’ve asked about this in map chat while in Lion’s Arch, but I’m still confused about it, as it seems to have a misleading description (if the answers I got in map chat are correct, anyway). Since I’m confused about it, I assume there are others just as confused as I am.

The description: “Each account can purchase up to 7 additional tabs including any previously purchased in game.”

So, does this mean that the personal bank tab limit is 16? Because I maxed out my bank tabs from purchasing more space while in my bank, and not through the gem shop. Since I have the ability to buy them in the gem shop, I assume I can have more bank tabs, since the description says, “including any previously purchased in game.” If the max is in fact 8, I’m sure a lot of people are losing money by buying those expansions in the gem shop, when they’ve already maxed their space through the bank purchases.

Mounts would most likely mess up the economy as well. Since mounts would mean less people using waypoints, which means players having more money, which means price increases in the TP. So if you support the idea of mounts coming you GW2, you support inflation in the TP.

“Mounts should give a speed increase, but not more than the fastest speed buff available without a mount, which is 25% I believe.”

50% is the fasted speed boost, actually. Though, only the engie has this speed boost (it’s the function skill for the Slick Shoes utility; lasts for 5 seconds, and has a 45 second cool down).

That aside, if mounts do come into play, I totally agree that they shouldn’t be usable in WvW or sPvP (and like you said, for obvious reasons). While I still don’t like the idea of mounts coming to GW2, you do have some good ideas for them if they do come into play.

Oh, man, the ANet posts in this thread have me laughing pretty good. XD

In response to the OP, I’ve read other replies from ANet staff that mounts will most likely never happen. Why? Because of waypoints. If mounts were implemented, it would defeat the purpose of waypoints. The waypoints were made for faster travel, and will most likely be the only means of faster travel. In all honesty, I really hope it stays this way.

The only days I’ve missed my dailies are the days I was banned for being a bot. P: I’ve got 114 jugs saved for later use (waiting on guild buffs to be researched before I pop them), and I honestly want to try and save a stack before I use any. XD

Like others have already said, it’s pretty fast to do them, and rather easy just doing your usual things around the game. So “why not?” is a better question. =]

It’s truly frustrating to see that some of you think I’m “looking for trouble” and deserve what’s happening. Once again, I can see why I had to change the name of my character “Phook Yu,” and it’s becoming more and more clear to me that some people are just out there to ruin other peoples fun.

Soulstar, I bet you’re one of those people that report people for whatever you think justifies a report in the slightest. Also, sorry to burst your bubble, but people reporting me for a name change isn’t making me lose money in anyway.

On a better note, it’s nice to see that a majority of the community sees this forced name change as something uncalled for. To those on my side, thank you for your support. I have a feeling, though, that the reign of Fart Sparkles has come to an end. u_u

Since Anet chose to suspend the name and force a change. It seems that they indeed believe that it is inappropriate.

So just stop doing it. Or when you are forced to change the name. Don’t come to the forums to cry about it.

I didn’t come to cry about, I simply came to see who else found the name offensive and why, and to see what other “offensive/inappropriate” names had to be changed. Calm down, and stop being such a Debbie downer. =]

That’s what I figured… It makes me wonder, though, if they actually look at the names being reported, or if they just go straight to making the person rename their character because they were reported. If the latter, it’s really unfair to the people with unoffensive names that are prompted to rename their character just because someone felt the need to report them.

Really hoping I get a reply to my ticket in a timely manner, and that I’m able to keep the name… and until that reply, I’m not renaming him. >:[

Think what you want, but I doubt I’ll have to rename any other characters, because all their names are more “serious” (and I don’t plan on making more, because I’ve got one of each class now). I’m going to drop this convo with you now, because I’m done making an kitten out of you and me for your assumptions.

@Kumu: Well, if you read the second half of what you quoted, I knew it was a bad decision, hence me saying I wouldn’t log into the character until I got another rename for the character (which ANET kindly gave me without the 3 day suspension).

Also, how can you foresee me getting more suspensions/bans? You clearly didn’t look at all my posts, and you’re just assuming I’m a person looking for trouble. The only things I’ve gotten in trouble for are having to rename “Phook Yu,” and for being banned for being a bot (along with three other guildies I was with; if you want the whole story, then read the posts about it in my history). So, one unwarranted ban, and two character renames (one being this one) = you’ll continue to get suspensions/bans because you’re a person looking for trouble?

Being more mature while giving a character a silly name would defeat the purpose of giving them a silly name.

Yup, like renaming “Phook Yu” (which I already mentioned), and for being banned for being a bot. What does any of that have to do with this?

@Kumu: Are you saying silly names should all be banned? Because that’s what Fart Sparkles is… just a silly name that was made for kittens and giggles.

@Lysico: How is “Fart Sparkles” offensive? If I knew the name was offensive, I wouldn’t have made him with those plans in mind. Now, for “Phook Yu,” I knew it might eventually happen, so that one didn’t upset me too much.

Aside from the obvious, what exactly counts as an offensive name? I had a character named “Phook Yu,” and I was prompted to rename her, which is understandable. Now, I have another character who’s name is supposedly offensive, and I’m now being prompted to rename him as well. His name: Fart Sparkles.

I’ve seen other names far more offensive than that, and on level 80 characters (Fart Sparkles is only lvl 20, and I’ve only had him for two days). Does the word “fart” offend anyone? I’m pretty sure it’s not the “sparkles” part of his name that’s offensive, so I’m somewhat confused on why I’m being asked to rename him.

I’ve submitted a ticket to ANet to find out how his name is offensive, and while I wait for their reply, I’d like to hear what everyone else has to say about this. If you find his name offensive, please, tell me why.

SIDE NOTE: My plan for Fart Sparkles was to get him to 80 without crafting, eventually get a commander title for him, then see him in WvW as “Commander Fart Sparkles,” and make him one of the best commanders on the server I’m on. If I have to rename him, I’ll most likely never touch him again, because I’ll lose interest if he has another name.

EDIT: Were you ever prompted to rename a character who’s name you thought was not offensive? If so, what was their name?

I’ve been getting really bad lag since Jan. 15th, and it’s extremely random. Currently in Mount Malestrom trying to do map completion, but I’m about to give up because the lag is just that bad. I know it’s not my connection, because my boyfriend is on the same connection, and he has no lag at all. Happy to see I’m not the only person with this issue, though, and really hope it gets fixed soon, because the game is becoming unplayable for me.

I know I’m resurrecting a thread that’s over two weeks old, but I’d rather comment here than start a new thread.

First off, I’d like to say that I agree with Draymos in all his suggestions. I find it unfair that the greatsword has multiple skins, while all the others are left with one (which not all people are happy with).

I’m an engie with a pistol/pistol build, and like Draymos, I find the Quip to be rather childish. I do like The Predator, but I like my pistol/pistol build far too much to look into rifle builds (and like Kuraikoto, I just don’t care for the rifle skills). I feel like my only option for obtaining a nifty legendary is by making another class, with a legendary that I actually like.

Favorite: Bolt. The lightning effect it adds to the whole character is pretty awesome, in my opnion.

Least Favorite: Quip. It’s just overall lame. The look, the shooting effect, and the sound. This weapon honestly irks me, and it saddens me that I’m an engie with a pistol/pistol build, so I’ll never have a legendary to show off (unless they release new ones later on). I’m aware that The Predator is really neat, too, but I enjoy my pistol/pistol build far too much to look into rifle builds.

Now on day three of waiting for a reply. Simply just requesting a name change for one of my characters after renaming her the same thing after a forced character rename (from “Phook Yu” to “Phook Yú”). Stupid/annoyed decision that I regretted minutes after applying. Don’t want to deal with a three day suspension, so I’ve avoided playing said character while I wait for a reply, and I’d really like to start playing said character again.

I’m on day two for waiting on a response for my unwarranted account termination. My boyfriend, guild leader, and another guild mate were also banned at the exact same time I was (we were in a party in Northern Frostgorge Sound), and our guild leader is the only one to get a response so far (and it’s not a good one—now they’re accusing him of using “stolen credentials” for buying his game, and want a LOT of information from him to prove his innocence).

TL;DR

Another tip, if not mentioned here, is to beware of “bot hot spots.” If you’re unlucky like me, several other guild mates, and many other people, then there’s a chance you can get banned for “botting” while working on map completion.

ANet sees it as a proper solution to tell people to keep clear of these places, and it’s a bit ridiculous that players are being deprived of in-game content in fear of being falsely accused of botting then banned. Northern Frostgorge Sound is a “bot hot spot,” and I know this because it’s where I was banned, along with 3 guild mates (and many other innocent players), all at the same time as we worked on killing a champion troll.

Aside from that, good luck to anyone going for 100% map completion, and I hope that none of you get your account terminated due to “botting” (and if you do, I hope you get your account back hastily).

Good luck, Terry. Because even with a ticket submitted, it can take 3-7 days to get a reply, or even longer. If you do plan on returning your game (and can), hopefully you get a reply on how before your return deadline.

As far as I can tell, they don’t have a customer support number, and if they do have one, it’s hard as heck to find. I’m wondering about returns myself, because I (along with my bf and two other guild mates, one being the guild leader) was falsely accused of botting and my account was terminated under false accusations.

The only thing you can do is wait for a mod reply like the rest of us.

In-game location: Near Elder’s Vale point of interest in Frostgorge Sound.

Three guild mates and I decided to head to Frostgorge Sound to gather mats while we waited for the Jormag event to start. We stayed in a tight group, killing things off pretty fast as we did our gathering (trolls and bears, mostly). We ran into a champion troll that my boyfriend (Rorschach.2397) decided to aggro because he saw a chest beside it. While fighting the troll, we were all suddenly black screened, and now we’re all getting the same error code when we try to log back in, saying our accounts have been terminated due to botting (with no warning). Our guild uses Mumble, so this of course was the only reason we all know we were banned at the same time.

This has left our guild leader, Pave Hammer.6497, far from happy. It’s also left a few of our guild members a bit paranoid about entering the area that myself and the rest of my party members were banned in. My boyfriend and another member of the party have already posted in this thread, and we’re pretty much waiting for a reply now.

I’m really upset for this unwarranted termination of our accounts, because it’s made me miss an in-game event, and I fear my problem will not be resolved in time for the “Lost Shores” event. I’ll also be missing some guild events because of this wrongful termination (assuming my issue isn’t resolved within three days of my ticket submission). Oh, and can’t forget that I merged my GW2 account with my GW1 account, so I can’t get into that, either.

It upsets me further that there is no phone support, and that I’m left waiting for an email that can take over a week to receive.

ArenaNet, please do not leave a sour taste for your company in my mouth.
