“We’re investigating whether to fix or revert DBL. They’re both a lot of work. These next couple days will be your last chance to give feedback before we make a decision, so speak now or forever hold your peace.”
Wow, Mike. I am at loss of words…reading that actually made me happy :’)
Please bring back the Alpine Borderlands without the HoT upgrades. And also, please fix stability.
I’ve also noticed that part of her upper thigh on her right leg is missing, it looks like she has a prosthetic leg. It’s only noticeable when you remove all of your armor.
It’s not about the people – it’s the map, the new mechanics. It isn’t fun. Period! Lower tiers are just about empty. Higher tiers, well…it’s a blobfest, k-train (mostly in EB). Even T1 in NA isn’t in great shape.
Honestly, I don’t know how WvW is like for EU right now, but for NA, it’s currently a mess.

I feel you man. I’ve put in years – thousands of hours on my thief. I shelved my thief because it feels so under-powered to me, really glassy. Right now I’m using warrior, which I’m loving at the moment. Thief really needs some re-work. Also I hate the fact that Mesmers heavily out stealth thieves, kitten ridiculous. lol :/
The guilds from T1 chose to come to YB on their own … and no we didn’t pay a single gold/silver/copper to bring those guys.
Sounds like you should read this:

“Yes, it was YB guilds and players who helped to fund our move over. "
Which is fine. Lots of servers do it.
Hey Chaba, thanks for the reply. I’ve read somewhere in the YB forums mentioning that none of the YB’ers helped fund the new transfers. But if it did happen then that’s fine, and yeah just about every server does it.
It’s going to take some time before T2 gets back to how it was months ago. People need to understand that it’s not YB’s fault for destroying T2/or WvW in general. The people in Fort Aspenwood and Sea of Sorrows chose to leave. Now, if those suckers would’ve still been around then yes T2 would’ve still been fun. The guilds from T1 chose to come to YB on their own. We didn’t want them here, we never asked for them to come and no we didn’t pay a single gold/silver/copper to bring those guys. Some people in YB don’t like the idea of moving up to T1, and others do prefer to move up to T1. Yaks Bend knows they’re going to get stomped in Tier1 and they’re ready/preparing for it, it’s not going to be an easy fight. Now, I’ve been in YB for a long time and I’ve witnessed 2v1 matches and oh boy, YB sure knows how to defend themselves, even when our numbers were very low. I honestly don’t get why YB gets so much hate.

Yep, same here. I spend most of my time in WvW, and every time when I would jump into the water at Bay the screen goes black for 2 seconds, even when I just jump out and dive right back in, the screen goes black once again.

Seeing my female char idly kicking the ground at a tense moment or stretching sensuously while consulting with important people felt very wrong.
There it is. I was waiting for someone to say it was “sensuous” or “sexy”. I don’t see it. I sincerely hope that isn’t part of the reason for its removal. But then, I’m not worried about the Norn fist-smacking or Asura knuckle-cracking either. My “immersion” isn’t spoiled so easily.
The animations are there to convey emotion. The Norn fist smacking can express readiness to fight. The Asura knuckle cracking can show readiness to start a job. Tell me, what does a woman idly kicking the ground or stretching show readiness to do?
It simply was inappropriate for the female chars to stretch like that or to idly kick the ground. You might not seen the stretch as sensuous, but it was routinely described in those terms. Having those animations did not fit the emotions the personal story was trying to convey.
The female sylvari swing their arms back and forth and have a disturbing grin on their faces. Heck, even players are allowed to use tonics during cutscenes >.> Those do not fit the mood, but anyway…GW2 is just a game. I think its dumb that the animations were removed. Most of the player base don’t even re-watch the cutscenes when replaying a story. Some people want the animations back (like myself), and others don’t. It would be nice if they added an option to the Total Makeover Kits or somewhere in the Settings whether we want to have animations on or off. That’ll fix the problem to the people who do want the animations and to those who don’t..It would make both parties happy.

Ok, first they said it was a bug, then they said that it was “temporarily removed” because it didn’t fit the mood in certain cutscenes in the Living Story. Hmm…

How To Dance, Volume 2 – Guild Wars 1 dances (thriller, head bang, break dance, etc.)
xD
Bunny Ears, Wide Rim Glasses, Aviator Sunglasses, Human Female Idle Animations (Stretching, hands on hips, etc.), Armor sets from the old PvP reward system like Tribal armor and Stalwart – I WANT THEM BACK!! -slam fist on table-
(edited by JDilla.3150)
Bunny Ears + Aviator Sunglasses = Profit
Seriously Anet, you’d make so much money off of these two items. Bring them back.
Please bring them back!! Also, I’ve noticed that most of the female npc’s (citizens) at Divinity’s Reach still have these animations.
They still haven’t fixed this?! Come on, Arenanet!
