Yeah, just put it in the bank and use it on the warrior. It soulbind on equip.
I don’t think that Black Lion Kits (as great as it is) gives back all the mats back, but will give more than master kits.
I don’t get the title to the thread in relation to the question. Are you transmuting volcanus, cause that will bind it to you.
Craft you way to higher lvls if you don’t want to play through like normal probably the fastest way to do it. Need a bit of gold to do unless you stockpiled mats from your last character
I got banned last week after being accused of botting. I run a human warrior as my main and was farming for 30 karka shells in southsun (1st time farming for them) and I was chatting intermittently. I was there about 1 hr since I had a magic find boost and was banned for that. I beleive they do owe you something after you bought the game andsupport the game in the gem shop and being falsely banned for almost a week then only say I guess we were wrong, oh well.
I still log in to do dailies but I have lost that passion for the game, mostly because Tera went free to play around the same time and I decided to check it out and have been hooked with that game, only grudgingly logging in to dailies in case I get back into guild wars later on, but have a feeling I might even stop doing that pretty soon.
Giving you your laurels for their mistake seems like the least they could do, but Anet really doesn’t care if it’s just one player saying it especially when everyone else white knights for the mods/devs.
I thought Rangers can stow their pets? Is that not true?
Granted that he new dailies are really terrible and has effectively killed of the only remaining option for solo gamers, but to say someone needs to get fired over it is a little too much. Dd Arena Net say they were overhauling the dailies, it was a total shocker to me as now there will be days I won’t be able to do my dailies and have to wait even longer to get enough karma saved up for my exotic gear
@tnarrant- Dailies are account wide, multiple character from the same account can work on completing it.
This seems perfect for you, post a reply in the forum and you should find what you’re looking for.

Community, guild primary focus, activity and events are a few categories I look for. Every one has their own criteria in what they want in a guild.
If you are in Sanctum of Rall server I would help you out and run a dungeon with you. If not ask around in your guild for the PvE officer/leader and he should help set something up. If he doesn’t find a better guild more PvE focused.
You can start running dungeons at lvl 30, but I recommend 40 or higher with more skills and an elite. You should be good to run Ascalonian Catacombs or Cadecus Manor. As long as your equipment is up to your lvl you should be good. Dungeons are a little rough so don’t get discouraged. I died a bunch of times on my first couple runs, but the xp and gear can net you some coin and is well worth the time especially if you want to save up tokens for specific armor sets.
Hey guys, am looking for feedback on which is a better class to play and have more fun with overall. Predominantly play PvE but have been dabbling in WvW. I have tried Warrior, Ranger, Thief, and Mesmer. Thief was my favorite class and Mesmer/Warrior is tied for second. Hated playing with a ranger, was no fun at all.
So basically I am looking at either a Guardian or an Elementalist. I have no idea what to expect from an Engineer but they sound corny and you don’t see alot of Engineers in the world (must be for a good reason methinks). So if anyone can give an opinion on what they thought was the best to play with out of these, I would relly appreciate it. Thanks
P.S.- No Necros, don’t like the whole zombie squad (ie. blood fiend) and don’t find it cool and is actually gross looking so not interested in them.
Yeah I have 3 humans and 1 norn that I play regularly with. Tried a charr once but I couldn’t stand playing with that character so deleted it. And I already hate sylvari (because or Trahearne) and they look like a vegetable and asura just look creepy and extremely small.
Is he in an instance or standing right next you? I never had that problem, maybe one of you is in an overflow?
Just checked the TP price for this dye. 19g 80s. Thats a lot of money for a slightly darker black!
Yeah, thats about right but you can give more info about yourself and your needs from a guild. Since you like social guilds specify that maybe one with ventrilo or mumble to keep communication with the guild.
What type of guild? (PvE< PvP<WvW<PvX)
Are you willing to transfer servers or not (Free transfrers until Jan. 28th)
Yeah and like Montz said it’s hard to know how active a guild is without trying them out first. One way you might be able to see if they are active or not is on the guilds website, see if they have an events schedule and if their forums are active but even then it’s better to join one and test it out.
There are many examples of players looking for guild on the guilds forum section, heres mine that I posted a couple days ago ( https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/guilds/guilds/Looking-for-close-knit-friendly-guild/first#post1212220 )
Cool, thanks for clearing that up
Best way is probably to join an active guild. The guild you’re in probably is not organized and have no structure. There are well established active guild out there. You can check out the guilds section on the forum and post for what you are looking in a guild and people will give you an invite in to numerous guilds you can choose from. Established Guilds are also really good to find a quick group for going on dungeons or WvW.
Ok, so I see there are gates in Lions Arch thats takes you to etarnal, mists or other borderlands. I assumed that this was WvW gates that you enter at, but when I click the WvW emblem on my character screen and I click Go To WvW and choose a battleground it says that it is full and you have to wait in queue. Whereas at the gates you can stroll rite in and go to work.
Are they different or are the gates in Lions Arch not WvW?
Here’s My thief; Shadow Balthier. Equipped daggers are Corrupted Shards. Let me know what you guys think
Did you discover the waypoint that you want to go to? Is the waypoint icon you want to go to blue or grey in the middle? That’s the only thing I can think of.
Find a guild to join, most of them focus on PVX which is a combination of PVP and PVE. Guilds can come in handy to find a party and look for advise from the veterans in the guild.
I think that would be ranger and thief. I played both characters and they both have a skill that boosts your movement speed. No cooldowns, it’s a passive ability with a signet I believe so it stays on until you activate the signet for its active ability. Also as a ranger I used to throw my pet at an enemy and just run past them when exploring.
Thanks for all the responses from all the guilds posted and ones that sent me PMs. All the guilds look great and am very interested in checking out your sites and forums to learn more and will PM ones that I feel best fit what I am looking for when I get home and get more time to really look at all the guilds. Thanks again to every one!
Hey all, I really enjoy playing GW2 and it has been a blast so far. I usually play solo or once in a while with a friend but they have long since left the game. I don’t mind playing solo but it would be great to have mumble/ventrilo or something similar to chat with others while gaming. A mature guild that Includes everyone and makes new members feel involved. Topics that range from beyond the game as well, such as current events, sports, games, humor, etc…
I am very helpful and if not in a dungeon or instance am quick to help anyone asking. Also looking for a guild that does PVE, haven’t tried PVP or WvW but might give it a shot in the future. I play through 3 characters a Warrior, Ranger, and Thief. Thief being my fave, and am considering starting up a Elementalist or Necro. I also craft a bit and am willing to help in that aspect as well.
I am 24 yrs old, try to play almost everyday, hours fluctuate cause of work/gym. I am currently in Far Shiverpeaks but am willing to transfer if it’s a good fit. and I hope I am not asking for too much and there is a guild out there for me.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, Cheers!
Ok, thanks for clearing that up for me mercury.
Finally saved up enough money to complete my exotics armor set and have and upgrade slot available in all 6 pieces. All the upgrade sigils I see on the Trading Post is lvl 60 and below. Are there lvl 80 upgrade sigils out there? or is lvl 60 sigils as good as it gets?
I agree as well. I am a Thief, when playing solo and go into stealth the NPC starts to reset immediately and regain their health. Needs to be fixed
Yeah, my brother really like the Alienware x51 because its really compact and specs are pretty decent for a compact pc. I hope you are patient a not hoping to play GW2 on it for a while because their shipping is the worst I have EVER experienced online.
Ordered one 3 weeks before my brothers’ birthday expecting to surprise him with it. And they continued to delay the shipping numerous times (3x) while giving ridiculous excuses like they memory I chose wasn’t compatible with the system (….Da kitten??) I chose standard memory that came eith the PC, didn’t customize it or anything.
Finally after repeated delays and 2 weeks past my bro’s b-day and customer service (Call center in India, no joke) giving me dumb kitten excuses I canceled the order and felt kittenty because my brothers birthday passed. So I went on to NewEgg and ordered the parts to build a much better PC for about $850 including shipping and tax.
Just my advise go check out NewEgg they even have pre-made gaming computers with different price ranges for your choosing. Stay away from Dell/Alienware who clearly don’t value their customers and think we are all computer illiterate.

I am lvl 70 rite now and have really good armor and also have 20 trait points in Acrobatics but I seem to be coming close to dying alot even after investing that much trait points. Also have accessories and rings that boost my vitality and toughness. I do dodge a bit, not like like I fight with my thief with a warriors mentality.
I am very interested in other fellow thieves thoughts on the matter.
I’m seeing alot of people choosing either a condition damage build or critical damage build. Which one does more damage? Which build do you guys run?
Cool, thanks for the detailed post Dee Jay you answered alot of my questions. And yeah I do run dungeons once in a while. I’ll take your tips and apply it and see how it goes. Thanks again!
Thanks Zimlobo, I’ll check it out when i get home.
Hello all! Started up a human thief as my third toon and am a little confused on where to spend my trait points. I focus only on PVE and dont do pvp.
Also what is the best weapon set for damage in PVE? I’m currently using Sword/Pistol combo with double daggers. Should i use shortbow? Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Nevermind, figured it out. They really need to put a better tutorial for crafting, but good news is I am now 400 in leatherworking! Woot woot!!
Started crafting today and now the recipes won’t give me any exp and there a no more options for more recipes to craft to get recipes. I tried going to the Discover panel but as soon as I put one or 2 items in the rest of mats are not compatible and won’t allow me to insert it.
I am doing Leatherworking, should I change crafts? Or is it the same with every one?
Thanks for the info and replies Brotato and Manekk. At least now I have a basic understanding of the stats needed. Cheers
Cool, thanks
Are there certain benefits of joining a guild? Like stats boosts or guild based world events? Just curious if there are actual stat benefits or exclusive content or something like that.
Cheers.
My first character was warrior which was pretty simple and straight-forward. I started up a ranger character and am not completely sure which stats/trait builds are most important also which weapons are the best utilized for this class.
I am currently using a long bow and a greatsword, is that the ideal weapons or should I go for 2 one-handers? Also which is more important for equipment stats wise power, precision, critical dmg or condition dmg? Kinda lost with the ranger, any help would be appreciated.
Oh and I don’t really pvp or do worlds only stick to dungeons/pve if that also matters with the build.
Cheers.
No Idea which server is dominated by those in your area but Guild Wars 2 is a popular game so there is always people around. Also if you choose one server and don’t like it you can always switch servers for free every 7 days. Hope this helped
Yeah I remember this mission. I ran it at the recommended lvl and died once earlier trying to battle everyone not realizing that they were re-spawning, then it was hold off the risen invader in the green circle/courtyard and I fought my butt off dodging and what not and was downed but luckily me rallying and killing off one by stone toss netted me the necessary amount of kills I suppose and it went to cutscene and I got to progress. But yeah, one of the toughest missions I have had so far.
