Eredon Terrace is the single most challenging and demanding server in GW2. If you want to just follow a tag and be a faceless member of a blob you wont find what you’re looking for here. This is the server you come to when mindless roaming and being nobody get old ( I hear it does quickly). Everyone currently on the server is absolutely at the top of their game. We have defense and tactics down to a science. We are potentially the most effective small scale GvGers in the bronze league. Everything you do on Eredon Terrace could mean the difference between a keep held or a keep lost. Placed that AC wrong ? Sorry retake the keep later. Zigged when you should have Zagged? Sorry repawn and try again.
Eredon Terrace is where the best wvwers are made and tested to their utmost. Because only on Eredon Terrace will u find 3 people effectively holding off a 15 man group long enough to be saved in that camp. Only on Eredon Terrace will u have 2 players sieging a tower and successfully fighting off a 40 man Blob.
If you want rainbows and sunshines and you want to stare at 100 tiny rear ends for all of your WvW career dont join us.
If you want to become the best player you can possibly be and find a real sense of achievement when you stand alone with 4 other players and wipe that zerg rushing your keep.
Then Join Eredon Terrace.

Also who is going to sacrifice a stat boosting or condi removal food for increased downed state damage. Its almost like planning to die.
The biggest problem i see with arguments for downed state is that they involve ideal world scenarios. Its great in specific instances.. BUT far worse in a larger number of instances. Stomping the downs is obviously the best way to stop the rallying. But often thats not possible due to CC or the fact that you immediately get focused as soon as you try to stake. It also assumes everyone is on the same page and knows they should be stomping immediately. I still stand by my previous statements that Rallying is great in PvE and SPvP but generally an unecessary nuisance in WvW.
Thats a big part of it too yes. I just think battle ressing needs to be removed period. Unless u use a specific skill to do it maybe

Agreed with Jek and Kerz. Come to ET. If you’re worried abotu " Never fighting anyone again" you’ll be surprised at how you never get a single moment of downtime if u want to do well. This flawed server stack logic has ruined the game overall. The Flock mentality of most MMO players is horrendous. " Oh look everyones there im gonna go do what EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING" Come to ET and stand out.
Now first I’d like to start off by saying that I’m not entirely against downed state and the ability to resurrect players from it.. IN PVE or SPvP due to the small scale. I completely understand that ANet likes the downed state and it will never change and I’m sure this has been posted before.
However in World Vs World the downed state is a pointless mechanic that only brings to the table an opportunity for large groups to exploit and abuse it.
When a group focuses on reviving players who have been fairly killed it can turn a potential wipe into a win.
For Example: Mendons is being Attacked by a group of 30 players. There are 5 defenders in the Tower. The 5 manage to repel the initial attack with a combination of superior AC fire and focusing down the opponents siege. If they manage to kill 10 or 15 of the opposition in that initial attack but the attacking group is able to mass res anyone who has been downed they virtually suffer no consequences for failing to capture that tower and are now free to try again.
This applies to somewhat smaller scale battles also.
When a player is downed from the depletion of their primary health bar they are given an opportunity to try again and if res’d it can possibly change the outcome of the battle. While this can be seen as desireable from the revivee’s point of view it is distinctly unfair to the winner who has already put in the effort to take the opposing player out of the fight.
Suggestion: Obviously reviving players itself is not unfair or overpowered. However A restriction placed disallowing the revival of other players during combat and the removal of the downed state IMO would drastically improve the quality of combat in World Vs World Alone.
I still think in PvE and SPvP downed state and revives are a fantastic idea. But in WvW it ruins the Ebb and Flow of small to large scale battles.
This was hastily put together but I’d like to hear suggestions or thoughts from other players on this. ( regardless of whether the subject has been beaten to death or not.)

The only thing WvW really needs immediately IMO is a real reward at the end of the week for the players** Not Servers** who do well.
Captured 100 Camps ? 5 Gold. 20 Keeps ? 10 Gold. 500 Player kills ? 5 more gold.
Give the players something to actually work for each week besides capping these towers for points that really dont mean anything. Its like Whose Line is it Anyways? right now.

So this isnt WvW but i have to post it. I was on my guard playing around in sPvP and we were on the laser beam map Its real name is slipping my mind as i type this. But it has the laser floors. Anyways it was 4 v 1 at the control panel up top. Me being a guardian i managed to hold my own for a little bit of time but the inevitable was coming. so i switched to greatsword and 5’d. Dodged backwards onto a floor panel and waited half a second before pulling them towards me. The floor broke and 3 of the 4 fell through with me. I felt like such a champion.

So before people flood this thread with how wrong your suggestions are or how u dont know whag youre talking about I just wanted to pop in and say that ideas are what we need regardless of whether anet is going to add them in anytime soon. So keep up the good work! And dont let anyone on here discourage you from posting ideas in the future!
The amount of kitten in this thread is impressive.
^ also realize that your zerg is for the most part not as durable as you will be. Especially a pug. Dont try to stand in the middle of chaos and expect them to be able to keep up with you. Lesson i had to learn as i couldnt understand why my groups were falling apart around me. Also.. trait and slot for as much stability and condi removal as possible. You’re goal as a commmander is to stay alive. (Not by running away either)

You do realize the reason why you and eb are doing good this week is because Kaineng has allowed you to right? Kaineng has gotten bored destroying both et and eb only to get cremated by FC and DR. It has happened 2 times already….this tournament is absolutely horrible and dry so 3 of Kain’s 5 wvw guilds have decided to not participate anymore. It makes no sense to beat the both of you and then lose and then beat the both of you again only to face the same people over and over and over o_0
ET has Demolished Kaineng in the past. The reason Kain ever beats ET is because of coverage. During peak hours you guys get rolled. Dont join in on a recruitment post to discredit the server. It makes you look like an angry child.
Stealth breaks on physical damage. Condis and aoe dont remove. Fixed
Growing quickly. Come join us in making enemy keeps more color coordinated.

We recently had the GL from a newly transferred guild, Svrn, schedule an ET WvW training event. It was very enlightening and well received. He mentioned doing more of these, to include a more advanced version.

Found our other thread. AGREE 100 percent Et isnt for ppl who want to no brain wvw. Every hardpoint we take we work for. It makes us some of the best wvwers I know. If et had at least 30 in wvw at all times we would systematically dismantle bronze league.
The more threads the better visibility. Also couldnt find the other must be buried.

Why would you use trooper/soldiers runes when you only have one group wide shout on your bar?
Your group condi cleanses come from alot of other areas and its more about removing conditions on yourself. + Save yourself pulls conditions off of those around you anyways.
1 less on you after that is useful
Note: im fairly certain the pull happens before the cleanse. Ill test it out as i’ve always just assumed it does. If not, another rune set could be worth looking into.
For Food and oil you want to use Omnomberry Bread and Master Maintenance Oil.
Also Grab the WvW Guard Vitality buff if possible.

I see a lot of people posting here looking for effective builds lately and so ill just leave this here
First things first. I use this build to command however it is extremely effective with some slight tweaking in nearly any situation you want except maybe solo roam zerking. Though you will have almost as much Crit chance as a zerker guard. The build plays to all the major strengths of a guardian like Group buffs, ground controls and condi cleanses. The difference is that it does all of those things while maintaining reasonable dps ie: regular 2 and 3k crits with some 4k thrown in ( was higher before 15th) high hp (21k) and high armor (3.4k or more ). While playing this build you’re going to be able to survive situations that other classes would find invariably fatal. So its bears to make the point that if you’re commanding in this build you’ll need to consider your group on zerg rushes and not get kitteny. also this does not mean u can stand in the center of a zerg pressing 1 you will still die if you play stupidly

The Build
Traits- _0 0 6 4 4 _
Utilities _Shelter(Signet of Renewal Situational), Save Yourselves, Stand Your Ground, Purging Flames (Contemplation of Purity Situational), Renewed Focus.
Weapons: Hammer/Staff or GS/Staff. GS is slightly more offensive obviously however in zerg warfare a hammer can drastically change a fight with a well placed Ring of Warding. I prefer Hammer. Staff is irreplaceable. Every guardian who zergs in WvW should be running it. Line of warding and #4 heal + buff is essential.
Stats: For Head through boots run full PVT armor. For all of your trinkets and rings run full Knights. For weapons I personally run Sentinel but PVT or PPT are also fine.
Runes & Sigils _ Full Troopers Runes. Exquisite Emerald jewels in trinkets. For Sigils Run Perception and Accuracy on your hammer/GS. On your staff run Purity and Water.
Traitskills_
Valor: V,VI,XI
Honor:II, IX
Virtues: VI, IX.

PvT is what I use.
I post this build often to help guards who want surv with damage. 00644 ptv armor knights accessories. Soldiers runes. +10 prec stack sigil and +5 damage on hammer. Condi removal on hit and energy on staff. Ppt gems in accessories. Vit tough food prec oil. Your stats will be 3k power 50% crit 3500 toughness 21k hp. For utilities I do save yourselves stand your ground and purging flames. And renewed focus. Heal I use signet out of pref for larger heal. But shelter is more universal. Also grab 3 condi removal on virtue of resolve. I surv7ve insane situations… in fact commanding I this build is bad because no other class can keep up with u In zerg fights
Well that’s good at least its not just me. I was worried i was gonna have to go do some complicated B/S in my folders.
My game is continually disconnecting from the access server after around 15 seconds logged in. I’m able to log in, Load the world and move around for a few moments before it disconnects and boots me from the game. Does anyone have any suggestions or similar problems ?
PVT armor. Knights trinkets. GS/Sword,shield.(Sub Sceptre for sword and focus for shield if u want some range.) + 10 prec on kill sigil on GS. 5% damage on sword and energy on Shield. Vit/Toughness food (Omnom bars) Preci Oil.
Build 0 0 30 20 20. Trait. Valor: IV VI XI. Honor: II IX. Virtues: VI IX.
Utilities: Save yourselves (or JI), Stand your ground, Purging flames. Renewed Focus.
Heal: I use signet of resolve. But theres a good argument for Shelter.

KCCO Keyboard Crusaders Clube Online is a brand new guild searching for WVWers to help ET become a force again in Bronze league. Repping required in Guild Groups and TS3 required.
We will run a guild group 2 to 3 times a week starting out and adjust it according to demand and player schedule however our intention is to bring a strong daytime presence to ET.
We will be extremely flexible with builds and you’re more than welcome to play the way you want as long as it isn’t a hindrance to the guild groups as a whole.

No aoe cap and Diminishing returns on all damage after a soft target cap is reached.
IE; 100% damage on 5 players, 80% on 10, 60% on 15 and 40% on 20. Then you can still pressure large groups but it wont be 5 destroying 20 or 30. But 5 should be able to effectively defend a tower. Thats what a tower is for. Its a force mulitplier. Also siege needs to be fixed. Siege on walls that can be killed by ground troops is ridiculous. Raise wall height and increase range. Then lower damage to compensate. I dont mind losing an ac to a ballista.. but not an ele. Also can we get an arcing option for balli shots? I hate that they have such limited use with direct line fire only.

But dps guard has awesome mobility if used correctly. 2 teles. Ranged hits. Snares. A leap. Just dont waste them
Run sword/shield, sceptre/focus full medi 10 30 30 0 0 or 0 30 30 10 0.
Sceptre is so underused. Full zerker stats or even knights and youll hit 2k with auto attacks. And the snare sets up a perfect focus 5/sword 3 JI combo. Play it well and people will really have trouble no matter what class. Especially with perma fury on medis.
A perma retal build is pretty fun to roam with. 0 0 30 10 30 is entertaining
DI and AKD are now off our server. But BoM and our others are still running strong. Info current as of last friday. Ill be setting up a new guild here soon for it.
I like that the engire discussion is betwee thief warrior. As if either of those c,lasses could be a measure of whats balanced right now.
Also I actually do run sigil of bloodlust on hammer. I switched here not realizing those shared a cd. And energy is on staff.
But ty for the tips those are a few things I never thought about.
I run save yourselves and CoP for the group wide condi dump. In tight situations ive saved groups with this more times than I can count.
Forgot to mention I wvw zerg almost exclusively

Try this 0 0 30 20 20. Soldiers armor and runes knights for all trinkets. Staff/hammer. (I use sentinels weapons) then run save yourselves stand your ground contemplation of purity (purging flames can be switched in situationally.) And renewed focus. This gives u the most sustainability, damage, and group condi removal support you can have together. And you can argue that it gives more since u basically have to afk to die in a zerg fight
Yeah u shouldnt punish people doing the right thing just because some will abuse the system. But make it an active bonus so that u receive rewards based on what u do.
Title says it all. We need incentive to defend. Karma training is too encouraged even with the fail loot. I like to play defensively and would love more of a challenge when taking towers. Im not going to offer much of a suggestion except maybe a buff to increase xp from kills while defending + small amounts of karma per kill. Any more thought on this? Obviously I wont get hopes up but its nice to dream.
