Is there a reverse option for tokens?

I know you can rebuy stuff if you use gold. Is there some way to “rebuy” my tokens?

My character wears medium armor. I went to the dungeon token vendor and bought some light armor by accident.

It is soulbound rather than account bound, so I can’t even give it to another character.

Is there some way for me to get my tokens back or to give it to a character that can use it?

Please make the LFG listing cross-map

I’m not asking for something as complex as a dungeon finder, but please make the LFG listing system more friendly. I believe this would GREATLY help in group creation.

1) Give players the ability to type out which dungeons they are interested in, how many more they need for their group, etc.

2) Please make the listing cross-map

3) Maybe even make the dungeon listing system one of the main options in the upper left icons rather than hidden inside the friend UI.

Suggestion for 2014: Revolutionize dungeons the same way you did with PvP

The devs like to toss the word “fun” around. They managed to catch on that, in a lot of MMOs, there were players lvling and gear grinding just to play the PvP portion of the game. I believe they deserve mad props for the fun, grindless PvP systems they have managed to create.

However, they seem to have missed one thing along the way: There are also people that would really like gearless dungeon progression.

What if, in some far-off future expansion, you could make a dungeon-only character like GW1 had PvP-only characters? It wouldn’t matter if an instance required 10 Mesmers with a specific Mesmer ability on their bar, because then everyone in the guild could simply go get their dungeon-only Mesmer and attempt to play the content.

It worked well for PvP. Why not give everyone access to fully lvled, fully geared, fully unlocked dungeon-only characters and make a bunch of HARD, CREATIVE dungeons just for guilds that like that part of MMOs?

So no one here has ever intentionally walked somewhere, when they would have normally WPed, simply to save the WP fee? Either in the same zone or a far off one?

WP cost assessment

I was just wondering how many people out there are being affected by this, so I figured I would ask.

Has anyone else here experienced one of the following:

A) You or someone you know has not gone to play with their friend half-way across Kryta just because of the WP costs of having already played with “too many” other friends that hour.

B) You or someone you know has not joined their friend in an instance group because the WP cost was the final discouraging factor

C) You or someone you know has not joined a major event because of the WP cost to travel in the same zone.

D) You or someone you know has been discouraged from continuing personal stories with their friends because the WP costs were becoming too high for the friend who gets no money from the storyline.

E) You or someone you know has ever decided to walk somewhere when they would have normally WPed, simply to save the WP fee.

F) Other?

I realize gold sinks are needed in the game, however, tacking it onto the travel system is having terrible effects on this game.

I have people who will not come make a dungeon group with me because they are half-way across Kryta and they don’t want to spend the silver.

I, myself, frequently do not go to large events or help other players because of the silver cost.

Your current system punishes people for being social and is a very real prohibition on joining and playing with “too many” people an hour. Please put the gold sink somewhere else.

Make armor cost more gold, make repair bills higher when you die, make vendored trash worth less, etc. But, please remove this cost for playing with friends.

Is it really needed the "once every 24h limit" for moving between servers?

The actual WvW exploit:

Two worlds are fighting. Some people from one world transfer to the enemy world and then either remove or otherwise use the enemy world’s resources (which they now have access to) for useless things. They then transfer back and assault the castle that now has no resources with which to repair its walls or make defenses.

I think part of it is the hearts themselves. At the moment, hearts give more money than events. There is no real reason to do an event over a heart unless the event is within the heart area anyway.

Mobs that you feel bad about killing

I feel bad about killing any cuddly or even humanoid mob.

I even feel bad about killing bandits when they say “You got me!” and fall over dead.

Story mode dungeons are for the 1%.....maybe 2%

You have to have had some pretty horrid groups to not be able to do Story Mode.

Sure, if the pug is sub-par, you will probably chain-die your way through the instance, but I have never been in a group that couldn’t eventually complete it.

Just make sure before you enter the instance that no one in your party is a whiner liable to give up if they die a few times. The only thing I can see preventing a full run in even the most terrible of groups are the people who rage-quit and leave you doing it with 3 people.

Do GW2 devs want their dungeons to be played ?

I, for the most part, like the dungeons. The only thing negative I can comment on is that they could really use is a bit more puzzle-like elements and some sort of timer to prevent WP rushing.

In addition, I have yet to meet anyone who completely dislikes the dungeons who wasn’t clearly just a whining-type person to begin with. They aren’t meant to be a “jump-in for 10 minutes and get your epics” type scenario.

WP suggestion to make dungeons more difficult

I noticed this patch there was an attempt to make some dungeons more difficult. I have a suggestion on how to do that easily, and also remove a bit of awkwardness from the game:

Make Waypoints in dungeons have increasing timers upon use.

For example, if the WP is used once, then give a 30 second timer before it can be used again. If it is used again, a 1 minute 30 second timer. Then, a 3 minute 30 second timer, etc.

This timer could reset upon a complete party wipe or the individual being alive and not having used a WP in the last 5 minutes.

This would make encounters far more difficult as it is currently a fad to WP-rush hard bosses that would normally wipe the group.

Does such a server exist?

Is anyone currently on a server that is both:

A) not a complete ghost town in WvW

and, on the other side,

B) Doesn’t have hour-long horror queues?

Surely there is a server out there with a moderately active WvW base that isn’t queue flooded? I will gladly transfer there.

This isn’t a gear treadmill MMO. You do not have to grind for the prettiest armor lest you be destroyed in PvP later. It has the same stats as TP or crafted armor.

The “grind” is completely optional in this game. In other games, it is not. That is the difference. If you don’t want to grind, you do not have to grind just to keep up with people who do grind.

If you don’t want to run the instance 50 times because you want pretty armor, then don’t run the instance 50 times for pretty armor. Your stats in PvP (and even in other instances) will not be affected in the least.
