Gamblit, just after that picture me and a group of what started as 5 people turned it from that score to us having the entire Gunnar’s borderland back in our control
Got the same bug right now, please fix it asap
To be honest skipping and exploiting dungeons isn’t impressive in the slightest, if you upload a video of you managing to do a dungeon killing all the mobs and not exploiting bosses then it will show you skill, as it currently is it’s just a video of you cheating your way through a dungeon.
Bumping this thread because it isn’t activating for me either.
You can skip them, but personally I hate skipping mobs so what me and my party do is attack one, they all chase and just run backwards attacking until they de aggro then use immobilize etc to pick off the stragglers until none are left.
This happened to my group once actually and we just thought it was a random crash but looking at this thread maybe it wasn’t :s only happened once though and run that path about 6 times, so it isn’t massively common it seems.
Superior sigil of rage has a 10% chance to gain quickness on criticals, how does this work if I put one in my main hand weapon and one in my off hand? Is it 20% chance or does it simply ignore one keeping it at 10%?
I would just like to say that the 200k+ copper selling for 21c in your screenshot is NOT from one seller it is the total amount of copper ore being sold for 21 across every seller on every server.
I’m sure if this is a bug or intended but almost all bosses and even some Adds seem to be able to just ignore wall of reflection and sanctuary hitting through them with ranged and even meleeing you while you’re inside sanctuary it really needs to be fixed because it effectively makes these skills useless.
Please Arena Net make the armours and weapons level 80 it is very off putting from playing these dungeons knowing that i’ll have to get another level 80 set of armour to put the skins on unlike the other dungeons and wont just be able to wear them.
The last component is glob(s) of ectoplasm, can’t remember exactly how many are needed but you can get them buy either buying off the trading post or salvaging exotic armours and weapons lvl 80, it isn’t guaranteed you’ll get them from it but the chance isn’t too bad.
I believe you may also get them from rares if you use the 25% chance of rarer crafting materials kit but don’t quote me on that.
I wont give away how because the fun of dungeons is figuring it out for your self but my advice to you is get the spikes turned off before engaging the mobs
helps an awful lot.
I’ve done every path of explorable mode CM now and the first time they were all fairly challenging, but once you understand what to do their just so easy, the butler path especially I managed to do it with myself and 3 randoms (A guy disconnected near the start and didn’t come back leaving just 4 of us). The whole encounter is not too bad but the final boss, the centaur my god was it easy………… all 4 of us got on the roof of the building and just hit him constantly, almost no dodging and none of us went down it was actually a really disappointing fight to be honest I expected more of a challenge :/
CM explorable is just wayyyy too easy in my opinion.
I definitely understand that story mode may be a bit overwhelming and should ease new people in a lot better and not just throw you in at the deep end.
And level doesn’t matter too much I did the dungeon with level 30 pugs first time as a level 30 and now i’m 80 and went back to help a friend through i dont find myself doing much more damage or being able to take more hits.
However i’m not sure that I agree about the lack of survivability tools (you learn quickly just how valuable vigor is in dungeons) and being that your playing a thief you have more survivability than you think, obviously you have the usually vigor, swiftness self heal skill but you also have stealth which helps a lot and more importantly smoke combo fields, the ability to make you teams attacks blind enemies helps a lot for team survivability (not so much against bosses but works fantastically against mobs).

I use these weapon sets too and I use power/precision as my main armour stats seeing as both weapons are direct damage. I’m not sure why people are saying go condition damage though? none of the weapons really do condition damage, the greatsword has just the symbol, the sceptre has none and the torch doesn’t really either the fire breath doesn’t actually burn foes and zealots flame I find is much more effective if you instantly fling it for the big damage rather than the burn if you’re standing next to the enemy.
I definitely agree that they should be kept how they are, however I wouldn’t mind a little bit improved rewards for running the dungeons, say from 25 tokens a run to 35 or something of the sort.
@ Gryz your problem is “I had a “glass cannon” build on my Thief.”
By having less survivability presumably that means you have a higher damage. That means that mobs are A more inclined to attack you and B you can take less hits. Simply put glass cannon builds in dungeons don’t work (speaking about pug groups here, I’m sure there are ways to make them work in organised groups).
You have to remember unlike many other MMOs there is not a single ability to make a mob focus onto you at all times so you cannot expect someone else to take all the hits while you wail on it with really high damage, it simply won’t work.
People need to be responsible for their own survivability, I’ve seen far too many people moaning about how their paper thin build gets one shotted and that means the dungeon is too hard. No, just because normal PvE is easy as heck does not mean you can just faceroll into mobs with no armour and expect to live in dungeons.
End rant.
CM explorable is the easiest explorable dungeon i’ve done and doesn’t take too long once you know what your doing. After finishing all the paths I even managed to finish one fairly painlessly (only wiped once) with a pub group that was a man down. Trick is don’t just zerg in to the groups of 20 ads :p
Apart from buying from the trading post every method is random
I have noticed it initially says invulnerable when shooting from above but there is always a sweet spot where you can hit them and do damage but they cant hit you, that is what made me think it may be a an exploit and your not meant to be able to hurt them.
I have a question about exploits that I’ve been thinking about for a while and would like some clarification. In big fights I find myself instinctively using terrain to stop enemies hitting me e.g. against ranged fights I’ll constantly block line of sight while in melee fights I’ll try jumping onto higher places where the enemy cant hit me and shell them from above. Is this classed as exploiting or just use of game mechanics?
