This is an issue related to the Fiery Dragon Sword skin that can be acquired from the Hall of Monuments.
In snowy areas such as shiverpeaks (wayfarer foothills, dredgehaunt cliffs, etc.), the light emitted by the Fiery Dragon Sword skin is way too bright. When wielding two of them at the same time it’s even brighter, and with post-processing settings on it’s even worse…
The problem only exists in snowy areas, everywhere else it seems to be alright.
Also in Hero Panel, if you have two Fiery Dragon Sword skins equipped, one of them will not burn.
Below few screen-shots that display both problems (all made without post-processing settings!):

You are not me, so obviously you don’t feel the same way. Surprise. Several players have stepped in here to say how disappointed they are, how they hate to see they can’t complete their collection anymore. Some people even sold their collection. But im overreacting when I see my collection and feel slapped, ok. It’s still how I feel about it. Teach yourself to accept other people feel different about things?
Describing someone not giving or selling you something to which you have no claim of entitlement in any way, metaphorically or literally, as a physical attack is hyperbole. Pretty much the definition of an overreaction. The fact that you feel that way does not make it not an overreaction. It just means that your feelings are an overreaction.
I’m sorry, but what’s your point? Assuming he’s overreacting, that doesn’t change the fact that what ArenaNet did with Mr Sparkles is unfair to many players, and ruined their fun, overreaction or not. This is a game, it’s meant to be fun.
I was about to report the first waypoint when I saw your post. I’ve got a video that shows the problem (notice the amount of lives):

Cosmetic items were supposed to befunding this game since the beginning. If you can’t afford them, you simply can’t have them, and it’s perfectly fine because it doesn’t prevent you from playing the game in any way. Having a luxury item is not something you are entitled to. You are entitled to having mandatory items, like exotics, which you can get through many means within the game.
(And you obviously can’t afford them if you complain in topics like this instead of buying them for 600 or 60000000 or whatever price they are sold for)
Please tell me how would I be “befunding this game” buy buying a card code from some random person not associated with ArenaNet? As far as I know it’s against ToS.
You are “befunding” this game by buying the game card, which in turn was bought from Arena.net by the other parties for promotional reasons. Arena.net gets money or other stuff from those parties.
You don’t buy those cards, they are given for free at events. If you can’t be bothered to read the whole thread, please don’t be bothered to reply at all.

how do you guys find collecting mini’s enjoyable?
How do you guys find collecting other stuff enjoyable? facepalm
Ok, let’s say anet added an exclusive weapon/armor/whatever turns you on – for codes, and made them account bound, so there was absolutely no way for you to get it. How would you feel?
(edited by Jax.5106)
Why would you need to use them on any other items than legendary anyway?!
Everyone has a different goal in the game, for me it’s collecting mini’s. I feel really disappointed to hear that I won’t be able to complete my collection, no matter how hard I try, as I am almost 100% sure, the event where I would be able to get the Mr. Sparkles won’t be held anywhere near where I live.
So what am I left with? No goal, no point playing.

There is this one annoying texture bug in lion’s arch near the huntsman station. The ground is turning brownish when you look east, and only then. You need to look at the ground too, obviously…
“Why is it annoying?” someone may ask. The answer is simple, it has been there since beta stages, and since I use huntsman station quite often it’s been staring at meet almost everyday going: “I’m a bug! Yay! >:D”.
Please, for the love of god, fix this already, have some mercy.

Sorry to disappoint you, xp compatibility doesn’t help me at all.

I am 100% sure no CPU cores are parked when I play GW2.
Also tried running it with no 2d clock options enabled, no change.
CPU Core Parking Utility does not help, no cores are parked while Guild Wars 2 is active. You can see that clearly in my previous screen shots (above the Guild Wars 2 window), all cores are up and running at around 60% each.
In response to Avelos.6798 and StinVec.3621 posts I’ve made some screen shots and a photo. Gonna try that CPU Core Parking Utility now.
“So i’ve turned everything down to low in the graphic options, and even then I’ve had a maximum 20fps while fighting!”
Few months ago i bought a new PC, here are the specs:
CPU: AMD X4 FX-4300 3.8GHz AM3+
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-990xa-UD3 AM3+
RAM: KINGSTON HyperX DDR3 1600Mhz 8GB x 4 (32GB in total)
GPU: GIGABYTE AMD HD7950 3GB DDR5 384bit
HDD: SSD Samsung drive 120GB
After installing Windows 7 64bit Home Edition and drivers, I took Guild Wars 2 for a spin. Right away I noticed some stuttering when camera was rotated, along with huge fps drops on bigger events and wvw (sometimes even around 5fps). I was using an old LCD Monitor then (1024×768 resolution).
A friend that I was playing with had an older PC, with similar specs but half a year older or so. I remember his GPU was AMD HD 78xx. He was running the game at 1920×1080 resolution with highest details and his fps never dropped under 30, and 100fps+ while standing idle, at the same time my character was standing next to his, facing the same direction, running 30-50fps at 1024×768 resolution! Something was terribly wrong there.
Since then I’ve:
- Bought a new monitor with a 1920×1080 resolution, since the old one wasn’t using a HDMI cable and i thought that might be the issue
- Tried using Windows 7 Professional (since Home doesn’t support more than 16gb of ram)
- Tried pretty much all drivers I could find, old and new, beta versions too
- Reinstalled Windows numerous times
After a month or so, I just gave up.
But recently, after the new Gauntlet Arenas were added, I got really interested in them. Problem was, whenever I went up to the balcony where arenas were located, my fps dropped to 25fps when being idle, 5-10fps when fighting in the arena. So i’ve turned everything down to low in the graphic options, and even then I’ve had a maximum 20fps while fighting!
I began investigating the problem again, with no luck.
I can run the game in a small window or full screen, doesn’t matter, fps will remain the same.
I don’t know if this is relevant, but in the AMD Catalyst Control Center, in the Graphics OverDrive Section I’ve noticed you can set the clock for GPU and memory. By default it was set to 1000MHz for GPU and 1250MHz for memory. Out of curiosity I set the GPU and memory clocks to the lowest settings (300MHz/150MHz). When I ran Guild Wars 2, I was surprised to see the same fps, no change at all. If i crippled my GPU and Memory like that, shouldn’t my fps drop at least a little bit? Also if I were to believe the activity clock in the control center, it seems the GPU isn’t used in 100%…

If anyone has any ideas, please help. Thanks in advance.
