Was a while ago, but in PvP in WoW there was a little something we got as we moved along and our titles changed as we won more and more. We could have it be stats, or a bit of gold. Just something for our achievements. People are more motivated when a little extra is included. It could be something as simple as a point or two permanently added to one of our pieces of armor. Say , easy title gives 1 or 2 stat points, harder one 3-4. Your choice on what stat and which piece of armor/weapon it permanently placed, Would be a nice collection of titles with stats and probably more would work for the titles.
It’s strange, was thinking about the ‘slot’ problem last night. Most RPG and Shooters give you Utility Slot bars 2-3 for display along the bottom frame and also ‘floating bars’ which you can place anywhere on your screen. The game does allow me to switch weapons quickly but………………………that is it and the weapon skills are embedded, no choice in line up of them and with the buffs, you can’t change if in combat as you all know so Yes, it is frustrating and a waste of time. Aion and Wow both have excellent setups and think that GW2 should follow their example. All should be interchangeble, i.e. row 1 flip to 2 or display all three at one time as well as the slots. Excellent suggestion and hope that the powers that be, read the posting and seriously put it on the ‘list of things to correct’
My wish list for dueling is simple. Arenas or specific areas where people can challenge and duel within those areas. In this way, players who want to duel with in those areas can do so, however, certain rules apply such as if another player turns you down do not still hound them or hit them. If so the bad player should lose their privileges for a say a few hours. Also, would like the areas to be within every players grasp from level 5 to whatever and that each area is specified for what level range.
Dueling is an honor situation and have to rely on each player’s sense of right and wrong. Some with squeak in but most will adhere to the rules. Dueling is something we all have done in many other mmo’s and is one of the main things GW2 is lacking as of now.
Am in total agreement. There is no logical reason for the game not to provide one. For we rangers it would a added asset to the group. We then could judge a distance that is need faster for our skills. This would also apply to casters. I see melee using this also, especially if there might be adds on the sides along the path and in judging their distance to the main mob.
Does not have to be fancy, does not have to take up the whole screen. Maybe a very thin vertical line or box which you could move to where u wish on the screen and also bring up or close as you prefer so no clutter on your scree.
