I want this mode too. Anet has already told us that they are working on it for a few years. But where is it? When it is going to launch?
Will it take more that 5 years to come (like the new legendary greatsword, scepter and dagger)?
Right now the most efficient way I found with Soulbeast is this tactic:
Step1: Get into Beast mode
Step2: Cast all three f1, f2 and f3 skills quickly
Step3: Get out of Beast mode asap
:P …and you never lose your pet’s auto-attacks and his skill
Step4: Repeat from Step1 when Beastmode recharges.
Utility skill “Stand your Grand” skill now gives 10seconds of Quickness (5 stacks of stability x 2sec quickness = 10sec quickness) to all allies!
Nah, SYG only give you 2s of quickness.
But that’s enough for perma quickness.
The general idea is spam “Feel My warth” and both mantras charge off cd and
use any skill that grant aegis or stability once every 5s
Nope, “Stand your Grand” skill gives 10seconds of Quickness to allies. I’ve tested it before in-game, I’ve tested in again right now in-game. You should log-in and see it too.
I have tested Firebrand in the new Beta Phase and I’ve realized that this new elite specialization for Guardian is so OP. It can be played in many ways (as a DSP, healer, and support)but I made a quick general Build which focuses in Healing and gives EPIC Quickness to all allies.
Make sure you equip the trait “Stalward Speed” at Firebrand Trait Line. This trait gives 2sec quickness each time you give aegis or stability to allies.
General Rotation : Mace/Shield and 2nd Tome
2nd Tome skills in combination with 2nd skill from mace, auto-hits from mace and 2nd skill from shield have the ability to create great Regen and Healing at a steady pace. But what makes firebrand great is not only the great healing output, but the “quickness” output simultaneously.
Utility skill “Stand your Grand” skill now gives 10seconds of Quickness (5 stacks of stability x 2sec quickness = 10sec quickness) to all allies! Furthermore, 1st skill from shield (Shield of Judgement) gives +2sec quickness (because it grands aegis) and 3rd skill from Mace (Protector’s Strike) gives +2sec quickness more (bacause of aegis too). Moreover, the ultimate skill from Guardian “Feel my Wraith” gives also +8sec Quickness. And utility skill “Hallowed Ground” also gives +2second quickness (because of stability). Utility Mantra Skill “Mantra of Potence” gives at total +8 sec of quickness. And Finally the healing skill also gives +2sec of quickness (with Liberator’s Vow trait). Not to mention each time you equip-unequip the 2nd tome you get addiniontal +2 seconds quickness!
We talk about MADNESS of QUICKNESS!!
To sum up, Firebrand is not only great at HEALING but epic to giving to all allies QUICKNESS!
Raid parties prepare your Firebrands!!
I agree with this. Being forced to do a 100% world map completion for the 4th, 5th, 6th, etc. time in order to make a legendary weapon is the most boring thing ever.
As a solution in another post I suggested for 100% Elona Map Completion to let us choose one of the gifts of the previous worlds (Gift Of Exploration) or (Gift of Maguuma). With this method we would be able to choose at least which world we want to explore again in order to make a legendary weapon and the process will be less boring.
I wonder what the rewards will be for 100% Elona map completion. In previous expansion and core game one of the rewards was a “Gift of Exploration” or “Gift of Maguuma” which were used in making one legendary weapon respectively.
However in this expansion there is no new legendary weapon tied to Elona exclusively. Wouldn’t be cool if they let us choose between a Gift of Exploration (Kryta) or a Gift of Maguuma (Heart of Thorns) at 100% Elona Completion and be able to craft whatever legendary weapon we wanted?
Many players have already done tons of times the 100% World Completion for core game and Heart of Thorns. By this method I believe they will get an extra motive to go for another world exploration and dive into legendary crafting again.
For me, not answering the question about the expansion going retail prevents me from taking the decision to buy it.
If I knew officially that the expansion is not going to be released in a box, I would had already pre-ordered it.
Why they don’t tell us if the expansion is going to hit retail?
PROS – Really good map design, simple (not as complex as the last one). Story was fascinating (howerver I expected a more epic cinematic at the end because it is considered a first teaser trailer for the expansion).
CONS – Some story achievements (for example: not hit by lighting) I found them extremely hard. Huge cost for each piece of legendary trinket, need to be reduced. Expected the release of all the remaining legendary weapons… it’s been 5 years since the release of Guild Wars 2 and Greatsword, Longbow, Scepter, Warhorn legendaries are old enough.
There are no contradictions and they have answered your question.
The remaining weapons will be released with future releases.
You do not need the next expansion to complete these.
What is the confusion?
I would really apreciate if they could inform us if they are going to be released in a steady manner about 2-4 months (like always) or in the far future after 6 months++ from now in the “Living World Season 4” ( =after many months from the new expansion).
Hello! I have been trying to read all the announcements Anet makes about the new legendary weapons. And I found a huge contradiction (regarding the announcements) about the remaining legendary weapons which haven’t been released yet in HoT.
We still haven’t got these new Legendary Weapons in HoT: 1) a new Longbow, 2) a new Greatsword, 3) a new Scepter, 4) a new Focus and 5) a new Warhorn
Furthmore, Anet announced that the new expansion that is going to be released in a few months will have nothing to do with new legendary weapons.
So my question is: When will we get those remaining new Legendary Weapons?
Should we wait for the new expansion and grind them from the beginning (with new materials from the new expansion)? Will we get them..hmm…never? Or will they be released in Living World Season 4 after the expansion in many months-years from now?
I hope Anet could answer that because many people want to manage their in-game time (materials, money) to their best benefit and not make the mistake to grind an old legendary in total blindness when a new one will pop up suddenly in, for example, 1-2 month from now.
The fake promises Anet makes are greater than the fake promises our government in Greece makes.
I have been waiting for new legendary weapons since they were announced in an article in 2013! For 3 Years! Three f…. full years! And finally when expansion came and I thought that the miracle had happened, they released an announcement of terminating their progress. I mean… would the devil himself do something like this? I wonder.
To sum up, thanks for not keeping me in game Mike O’ Brien! I have been playing console games this season and that announcement reassured me that I have been spending fewer hours in console gaming than I was supposed to.
Sadly… Guild Wars 2 is dead.
New Legendaries no aura effect, seriously?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

The title says it all. New legendary weapons do not have any aura effect on armor. Personally, I don’t feel like holding a “legendary” weapon when there is no shiny effect all the time on me. I was happy when I heard that new legendary weapons change the skin of our hands, but when I’ve realised that they don’t add the glorious aura around the armor as a drawback, I was about to throw myself off the balcony.
For example. Nevermore change the skin of one hand only (not both) to look like black feathers. This effect on an existing black armor doesn’t show off at all! I know many of you would say “Then make the old ones(legendary weapons)!”. But I would answer: "What was the point in waiting 2 years for new legendary weapons (they were announced in mid 2013) to be “forced” to make 3.5 years old legendary weapons??"
Even the added effects on new legendary weapons, which are really nice, are not permanent but they only appear mainly on weapons swap. I hope Anet would re-consider and add the aura effect on armor like all legendary weapons did until now because I think otherwise many players would not put their minds into making the new legendary weapons and that would be bad for keeping them in game for long term.
And I was getting 100% map exploration today which I had started 5 months ago for the new legendaries (I was bored as hell doing it that’s why it took so long). Who would have thought that all that effort would go to waste completely?
I have tried the Squad system in Raid at beta weekend and in Tequatl battle. I find the idea of sub-groups perfect. However, I find extremely difficult players in a sub group to be able to move together as a group away from the total squad.
Players in a squad see only one colour, “Blue”, and as a result each player can’t keep track of the other players’ movement in the same sub-group easily. They have to keep reading the name of 4 or more players all the time while in battle to move together and take seperate actions from the rest of the squad.
I believe Anet could fix this by adding more colours per sub-group created. What do you think?
The most successful and less time consuming tactic to win a fight for meta game in doing PvE stuff is mainly full dps builds. It works with dungeons, it works with fractals, it works everywhere. Only minor changes to skills for specific bosses might be made, but dps builds work their way out again. I have been reading that Anet wants to “break” this tactic in Raid system that will come with HoT expansion. But how is this going to happen?
I have been reading some articles from Anet with more details about how they think they will elimate the necessity of dps builds. Most tactics they point out are “enviromental factors”. For example: “gliding off the boss platform and catching an updraft to avoid a devastating attack” or “a specific creature that needs to be kited away from the rest of the group, otherwise exploding and dealing massive damage”. These things at first sight seem advanced as they add more diversity to a fight and require a player’s ability for them to be achieved. I am happy that new tactics are included in Raids but the question is: “do they really eliminate dps builds”?
3 years ago when I first made a guardian I wanted to heal my party. I tried many builds back there. I even made ascended cleric build later with the necessary traits for a cleric build and used all of guardian’s skills to perfectly heal. It worked out at some way. But mainly when we were under specific conditions: For example when we were all stucked to a corner so I could freely dodge roll (= heal) many times or under other specific conditions. But the main problem for all my players in my party is always this: “Time consuming”. Now matter how I liked playing guardian as a healer and how effective it was it is always better to go dps build as it is always takes less time to win a fight. After many months of others yelling at me and accepting dozens or hundreds of players’ opinion of how much time I lose to them with cleric build I decided to change my build to dps build too. It works better than cleric as it is less time consuming and so I avoid players’ anger. But I would prefer to be a guardian healer…
To sum up, It is ok for me for Anet to add in RAIDS those new tactics based on “enviromental factors” (glinding off platforms, position the enemy away from players so it explodes safely, etc.) but that doesn’t mean necessary it will break Zerk builds. If Anet wants really to elimate the necessaty of dps builds they should consider 2 things: Firstly, they should make other builds less time consuming to win a fight than zerk builds. Secondly, they should make other builds the only way to work (example: a boss that takes damage only from conditions or a boss that the damage it takes is increased based on how much a party is healing?) Finally, If all those things don’t work then as the last light or hope in breaking Zerk builds i could suggest only one thing: increase the duration of “Taunt” skills. By doing so Anet could jump back to the famous trinity: tank, dps, healer. But I don’t know if Anet wants to follow this direction at the end…

I’ve been playing guild wars 2 for the past 3 years more than 3000hours in-game. Mainly I am at 98% at PVE. I went to WvW once for fun to raise my rank for some hours and I got my only precursor there until now. Ironic?
Ok guys! I know that the “wedding outfit” consists of 5 outfits or more (for each race, for each gender). But again, personally, I don’t find this reason a serious “excuse” for the outfit to cost so much. If there isn’t any Wedding Event going on, I don’t believe the “demand” of any wedding outfit will be high enough for many people to pay 1000gems.
Will tomes of knowledge still exist in HOT?

They are account-bound so I bet yes
Latest news say we have to fill a new “collection” tab to get a precursor. What will those items in the collection window be? Exploration items? Hard to find RNG items? “Pay gold” items? Any information would be appreciated ^^
I read this on the wiki a few days ago it mentions new Legendary Weapons -
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Upcoming_changes_and_features
I read this wiki article which mentions Legendary weapons 10 months+ ago. It is not new info.
The official announcement was made by Anet in an article in mid 2013. Later, wiki just copied that announcement.
Well, today all existing legendary weapons in game are 2 years old. I still remember the days (1 year ago) when Anet announced that new legendary weapons will be available. And now, after 1 year, I can’t even find the slithlest information of when they will be available.
I think this is done in purpose so that the existing legendary weapons in-game live up to their name. You know…, as time passes they say that Reality becomes Story, Story becomes Myth and Myth becomes Legend. And that’s what I believe has happened at those baby weapons back there!
After 2 years they finally became today: “Legendary” weapons and as a result we don’t need new ones. We can say that the announcement last year (of new legendary weapons comming) was controversial! It was actually referring to the old legendary-like weapons which today matured and became “Legendary” weapons in reality.
What do you think? Will we see new legendary weapons soon or do you agree with my controversial theory? ^^

But I don’t agree with your 1st paragraph. Anet of course can’t affect the trading post directly (example: buying for themsleves and selling for themselves). , but they can affect it indirectly as they have done it many times ‘till now. Example: Anet decides to give us all 1 precursor for free. Do you think that the decline in precursors’ price that will follow would be because of hands of players? Or of Anet’s action?
This kind of thing was discussed a long time ago by John Smith, and the result of such a foolish move is a broken economy. There are more costs to the Legendary than just a precursor. Making them too easy to obtain (or simply giving them away) will cause a lot of people who might want to craft a Legendary to take steps to actively make one. This drives up the costs of everything else associated with it. When demand increases 1000x overnight for T6 mats, they will disappear from the TP faster than farmers can replenish the supply.
How do you feel about paying 10g per glob of ectoplasm? Not per stack, per unit. Sellers can’t make any money from precursors when everyone already has one, so the costs will be distributed across other materials, and go upupup because of the sudden spike in demand.
Of course giving a precursor away to all is not a good move. :P I just gave this example (even if it is silly) just to explain how it is easy for Anet to change the market without the hands of people.
Basically, I believe it is difficult for Anet to launch changes (new patches) and the market won’t change a bit or won’t be affected. We always see an indirect influence of Anet on market. Don’t forget that Guild Wars 2 is a digital world where Anet is God. And if they know some economics, they can change the market pretty well… with indirect “legal” methods.
The prices of any item on the TP is in the hands of players, not Anet. It doesn’t matter whether they like it or not, if the players support this price it will stay there.
Also, this is not the new price. It’s a spike due to a sharp rise in demand for reasons already discussed. The demand is driven by impatient players who want Twilight/Eternity now and don’t want to put in a reasonable buy offer and wait for it to be filled. When they get what they want, they will drop out of competition to buy Dusk and the more patient buyers will be left.
You can still place a buy order for any amount you think is fair. I believe that if you place a buy order now for Dusk at 1000g it will be filled in a month or two, after the market settles down a bit.
But if you want to make a quick few hundred gold flipping, buy at 1200 and sell for 1600 to someone who can’t wait a month.
At your 2nd and 3rd paragraph you say some portions of how a “balanced price” is achieved. We don’t say something different. Of course the new “balanced price” hasn’t being achieved yet, because sellers sell dawn at 1600g and buyers buy them at 950g. When they somehow meet and agree, that’s when a “balanced point” is achieved.
(…of course Anet’s)
Dawn at 1600g now on TP by only 2 sellers! I wonder where the new “balance point” will go this time. Back at around 950g (as was previous days)? Or some hundreds gold higher? We will see that in a few days… as we will see about Dusk too.
PS: In case someone misunderstands, I am talking about dawn this time, not dusk.
Same argument, different item. The balance is where the players stop paying the high prices. Smart traders never make purchases from listings, but rather by placing Buy Orders. If someone is willing to pay 1600 Gold, so be it. I’ll gladly take their money.
buy orders tend to follow sell orders in price. buy order on dusk went up abour 200 sell price went up about 300-350.
but its up to the buyers whether it sticks/this happens.
I agree with you. And it is up to Anet if they want a precursor weapon (not a Legendary) to have a value of this high too. Anet knew, I believe, that those changes they’ve made at legendaries (account-bound, their skin can be applied many times, few cosmetic changes in eternity in last patch) would make precursors’ price climb to higher levels. But the difficult part for Anet was not to realise that precursors’ price will increase, but at which level they would go exactly! If Anet will be happy with the new “balanced point-price”, I guess they won’t make a change. If not, I guess they will have to take measures (example: other ways of acquiring precursor weapons).
I want to say something more. Buyers agreeing buying precursor weapons at higher prices (balanced point) doesn’t mean that their numbers stay the same. Will the number of buyers be the same again when precursor’s prices raise again (even when dawn and dusks are bought at that price)? Or will some quit game and bored with it? I think this matter should be considered by Anet. Achieving always a higher “balanced point” in price market doesn’t mean it is always the best for Anet’s interests.
Dawn at 1600g now on TP by only 2 sellers! I wonder where the new “balance point” will go this time. Back at around 950g (as was previous days)? Or some hundreds gold higher? We will see that in a few days…
PS: In case someone misunderstands, I am talking about dawn this time, not dusk.
I have decided to make a post of this matter (after months of frustration) because I think, the price has finally reached a godlike height. Right now (and I don’t know for how much longer) dusk’s price is 2000g!
Firstly, I have to say some things for myself . I have studied economics in my life and I have in my possession a Masters degree in Applied Economics. Why I mention this? To explain to the world in some simple words why this phenomenon (the high prices of precursor weapons) is not a “balanced economic state” which was created as a result of the 2 forces: demand & supply of the precursors, but a monopoly situation of rich people which in real world would be banned and prevented.
2-3 months ago the price of the precursor weapons were some hundreds gold cheaper. For example, dawn and dusk costed around 400-500g and 800-900g respectively. If we go further back in time we see that their price was even lower: 200g and 400g respectively. To sum up, the more we go back in time, the cheaper they were!
In economics there are some “logical” causes for an item to change in price. Changes in demand (less or more people want a precursor), changes in supply (less or more people sell a precursor) and changes in some other factors (example: money gets easier or harder to make in-game) affect prices. Some of these things happened and the following changes in precursor weapons’ price changed in logical limits. For example, money making got easier and as a result their price rose. Another significant change was making legendaries account-bound, making players able to choose any stat and applying legendaries’ skin many times at any weapon. This rose the demand of legendaries and as a result precursor weapons’ price went up again. But what happened at some points and what happens now is far more interesting.
We see (and saw in some past cases) a phenomenon where changes to factors that affect precursor weapons’ price weren’t happening (example weeks between patches) and their price was going way up! Nothing was happening, but their price kept raising dramaticaly! If anyone could monitor this phenomenon in tp, he/she would have easily discovered that there are some “economic games” going on: 1) Players that are billionaires (have much gold in-game) buy all the precursor weapons in low prices until nothing is left for selling in tp. 2)Then they set their starting “selling price” as they like at high levels and make huge money. As a result…the rich becomes richer and the poor becomes poorer (because we have to buy precursors in godlike prices).
So, why don’t the poor people make the precursor weapons at mystic forge and stop caring of what is going on with their price in tp? Because it is luck(!)…..luck with a low possibility! That means you can try as many times ..wasting thousands of money and there is still a high possibility you won’t still get one! I believe we all have friends who wasted hundreds of gold in mystic forge and got no precursor weapon at all! Of course, there is the other side of the coin where a few throw 4 gold only in mystic forge and get a precursor! But as I said…it is luck…luck with a low possibility!
So how do we break that phenomenon of monopoly of the rich people? How do we make the game even for all players?(!)(!) Well, Anet already announced the solution! Back in 2013 Anet officialy announced that at some point in the future there is gonna be new ways of getting a precursor weapon (was mentioned through crafting or hunting maybe). By doing this more people will have hands on a precursor weapon (with 100% chance of getting one! ) and as a result the supply of precursor weapons will raise and that is gonna bring prices down to logical levels again! But why Anet isn’t going forward with this plan? Why in mid 2014 we still get no update about this matter, although it was announced in 2013? The answer is: I don’t know! …I believe China comming into game recently affected this plan (because Anet will have to coordinate the patches).
So, the purpose of this post is this: To protest to Anet of letting this phenomenon raging in tp so many months and for not adding the other ways of getting a precursor yet. Many people have saved much money these past months. And I find it wrong for them to waste this money and be ripped off by the economic games of billionaires than to spend them deservedly in a healthy, economic competition enviroment.
Guys, I think devs should investigate more. I have just done 2 times “Marionette Sidestepper” without getting hit by Marionate attacks and all 5 cyrcles around me succeeding too and I got no achievement again. I am tired of succeeding and failing due to bugs. Pfff!
First time they have delayed the announcement so much. It is already 4th December here and I am trying not to go to sleep.
EDIT:
I went and checked the Anet’s message. Yes, they are going to release the preview page today (4rth December!) due to thanksgiving. So, no update I guess for many hours.
(edited by Jimaruto.5389)
You all mention Ascended armors before 2014. What about “crafting precursors” before 2014? (as they have mentioned too)
I hope by harder they don’t mean “more time consuming” because in this way Anet should consider giving us better rewards to make us keep rolling in Tequitl daily.
Back in April, I completed all of W1 of SAB / all achievements. I thoroughly enjoyed it as it was a cool throwback in a modern game. The experience was pretty casual, and could be made ‘hardcore’ by gathering all the baubles, not dying, etc.
It would seem as if that has all changed. The whole of W2 and Tribulation Mode seem designed to be purposefully hard. Or rather, cheap. They turned a platformed inspired by legend of zelda and other old RPG games into…Battletoads? Memorize a bunch of things and call it good.
Mind you, I have not been past the rapids in world 2 or world 1 tribulation mode, however I really have no desire to either. Is this what any developer wants from content? SAB now boils down to this:
1. Buy infinite continue coin
2. Bash your head against every death possibility / read Dulfy
3. Die a lot anyway (tribulation mode)
4. Complete after hundreds of deaths and many hours
5. Call yourself ‘good’ and flash some weapon skinsBasically, if I want an unfair game to play I will go play one of the many better ones (see: Battletoads, Ninja Gaiden, I Wanna Be the Guy, Super Meat Boy, etc.). If I want a skin to flash I will just go grind out a legendary…
As a bit of an aside, for those who say the IFC is not necessary…have you completed all content without it? If you have, may I ask roughly how many deaths and how many hours you’ve put in?
I agree with you. World 1 was fun to do and I really liked it. Everyday I made at least 3 completely runs of all zones ‘cause I liked it. Now world 2 is really more time consuming and a lot harder to do. Of course World 2 should be harder than World 1 (as the philoshophy of old games mentions), but World 2 in difficulty I would say is scaled like World 6 or World 7 in traditional games.
They shouldn’t have made World 2 so time consuming. It gets really boring. And they shouldn’t have made World 2 so hard. It gets really annoying for fresh players (noobs) to even do One run.
If they made Bosses stronger (more time to kill) without additional rewards (example: more ectos) then this update will fail, even if Bosses would appear “more interesting”.
I’ve finished all the new achievements from the Living World except “Invasion Canceler”. However, I managed to get 17/17 in “Clockwork Chaos” category (and received infinitive Tonic) with the help of daily achievements without completing “Invasion Canceler” achievement.
The problem is that now “Invasion Canceler” is stuck at 10/13 and no matter how many different maps I visit and finish the events there, it never fills up. I am completely sure I don’t visit the same maps again and again because I have been writting them down in a paper from the beginning of this event. I need this achievement because it gives 25 achievement points. Please fix that bug. Thank you in advance!
Wiki: “Note: Heals for 545 with 1443 Healing Power.”
Thanks for the answer. I have checked some other threads and I realised that the heal “Superior Sigil of Renewal” gives is really poor as you mention (around 500-700 heal). So, I guess I will go with “Superior Sigil of Energy” witch gives me one extra dodge-roll and that means 2000-2100 AOE heal for my guardian.
I am a 80lvl Guardian with full cleric set (power, tough, healing power) and with traits and skills equipped which promote healing power. I have around 2000-2100 healing power stat at max level. So I want to add a sigil that boosts healing. I am between 2 options: Superior sigil of Renewal (AOE heal on weapon swap) or Superior sigil of Energy (50% endurance refill at weapon swap).
Everytime I dodge with my guardian, I heal AOE around 2000 life (trait effect). So with the sigil of energy I might get one extra dodge + one extra AOE heal from this dodge (depends if my endurance is already missing or else I won’t get any extra dodge with that extra healing). But with sigil of renewal I get one extra standard AOE heal (no matter what my endurance is at the moment of weapon swap). So, which sigil should i go for? The standard, instantly extra AOE heal on weapon swap (sigil of renewal) or the non-standard (depends on current endurance), non-instantly (needs a dodge) extra AOE heal, but provides an extra dodge?
You could really help me if I also knew how much AOE heal the superior sigil of renewal does. More than 2000 heal my guardian’s dodge does? Same? Or lower?
Thanks in advance! Need advice from experienced players.

…………………Thank you.
Hi there,
can Beta Fractal Capacitor (Infused) -shiny version- be transmuted and take the stats of another ascended ascended (infused) back item and the shiny appearance remains the same?
Many players pick up different ascended rings until they farm the ascended rings they really need. By completing 20 times the fractals (10 times for each ring), in order to get the ascended rings one player really wants, that player comes into many ascended rings which have stats that don’t suit him. When he completes his goal, his bank (or his inventory) will most likely have around 4-7 ascended rings with no essensial value. So I ask why should so many top quality rings go to waste? Wouldn’t it be better to add a little worthiness to them without changing the basic model (getting them only from fractals and from missions)? I suggest the option to use them at mystic forge as all lower quality weapons and armors (rares, exotics, etc) are used. For example if someone throw 4 ascended rings in the mystic forge, one random ascended ring will come out (which is also account bound). First, you add with this option a small essential value to those rings and second, if anyone is able to throw 4 ascended rings in mystic forge it means that he was at least a couple of times in fractals (so this “mystic forge option” should not be considered as a free-from-fractals way of gaining that extra ring).
One other idea that I believe should be applied as soon as possible is a way of explaining to players that the “unique” word in ascended items’ text means that one player cannot equip the same exact ascended item twice! Do you know how many players go 10 more times to fractals (around 10hours) to farm 10 tokens and finally get the 2nd ascended ring they wanted and at the end they realise that they can’t equip that ring because it is the same as the other ascended ring they have already equipped in the other ring slot?? (And no they don’t refund this at Anet support… many players already contacted support….including me).
I hope those ideas-suggestions would make the world of guild wars 2 more “valuable” and more worth-time spending.

And add more stages too!
Solo is the best for this dungeon. When you farm “babble-buble” you finish the zones daily with each charater you have (2 babble-buble each zone with each character each day). So the best method to do this is play solo and run at the end because if you have other party members they will surely slow you down.
@Air: Queen Beedon is not obligatory.
Nonsense… You do realize that there already is something in this game to make you stand out? You might of heard about these so called legendaries ? I think that far outclasses your petty CoE armor. And it takes far more effort then anything in the game at the moment.
If you want to stand out easily, buy gold and get T3 armor or something, if the kitten is the sole reason to play this game.
Edit: by kitten i mean that virtual thing some people need to stroke from time to time to feel superior to others
There is no “legendary” armor.
Recently we all discovered that a new type of items are introduced in Guild wars 2, the “Ascended” items. They will be slightly more powerful than “Exotics” and they are gonna make many players spend much time again to farm them in order to stay in the “top legion” model.
But how can those items not attract those players, but push them away instead? Here is an example….let’s say a dedicated player so far aimed not to farm the “easy” exotics (Cof dungeon, etc..) but wanted to farm some different exotics in order to stand out from the crowd and to show off his results of his labor on his equipment. That player eventually farmed all the exotics from CoE dungeon (each path takes about 40-60 minutes with much more difficulty than the “easy” dungeons) and was really happy.
But a day came when he released that his labor on achieving those armors went to waste. And that day was when a new type of armor more powerful than his “exotics” appeared, the “Ascended” items. He now have to farm all those new items again in order to stand out from the crowd! He is really frustrated that his special effort went to waste and sadly has lost interest for the game. Are you one of those players?
PS: I know that in the patch they will only add Ascended rings and backpacks. But Anet said they plan to put all armors in the near future.
