Guild Wars 2

I sent in a refund request asking if I can keep access to my account but get a refund on HoT and this was the reply.

“We can look into refunding your Guild Wars 2 purchase. Please note that the code that you are requesting a refund for will be permanently disabled. If you registered the code, all features, including game access, will be removed.”

I’d really love to play HoT, but at the moment it seems the only way i’ll be able to do that is by buying a new OS and some more RAM (though i’ve never had a problem with memory crashes before HoT) and i’m not able to do that until next year.

I’m just wondering, as GW2 is now F2P, if i ask for a refund of my HoT purchase will my entire account (characters and achievements etc) get wiped as well? I’d love to come back, but not playing an expansion i’m yet to experience for another 5 months seems like wasted money :\

At this point i can’t even stay in the game long enough to pass the first HoT mission, which means i can’t unlock masteries or play any of the new map content

EDIT: Also can’t play more than 1 complete match of sPvP without the client crashing (on lowest settings), which has never happened before (on medium settings)

I’m not sure about the lore regarding the Mists. However, is it possible that The Mists exist outside of Tyria’s realm of time and space? Perhaps when Rytlock tapped into the power that caused him to become a Revenant in 1328 (something never done before, possibly something to do with his sword?), that event rippled backwards and forwards through time, touching individuals and connecting them to the Ancient Legends?

My client keeps crashing as well. Played on lowest possible settings, before HoT it never crashes at lowest settings, I can even record 2 or 3 hour long WvW sessions while playing. Now it crashes after going to a waypoint or with event encounters.

This is what is happening to me as well. I never had an issue with previous world events, holiday events, beta weekends, or general gameplay ( onaverage settings) but i can’t stay in Lion’s Arch or the first HoT mission for longer than 2 minutes on the lowest settings without crashing. Even just roaming around in the less populated areas crashes me after about 10 minutes.

Have the system specs changed?

Game crashes after about 5 minutes or if i load between maps. Even at the lowest settings i can’t get more than 2 minutes into the first HoT story mission, nor can i hang out in LA for an extended amount of time. (not had an issue before on higher settings)

Rather than start another thread to ask a question about the map reward system, I have another question about map completion. (Sorry i don’t have an answer for your question Metalman).

Do we get the map rewards from playing on the map, or from completing them? If by completing them, what does that mean for people with 100% map completion?

I’ve been playing since launch, and yet one thing I absolutely love about gw2 is how i’m still finding places like this (see attachment). I was just doing some crafting in the Grove and started running around. Next thing you know i’m here. The photo doesn’t really do it justice.

Anyone else find they still have these moments? Next time you do, share some screenshots. I’d love to see them (and go on a hunt for them).
