“We ignore what is broken, and fix what isn’t.” ~ GW2 staff

How many months has Phantasmal Warden been broken? That aside, I really feel bad for any new players (for a variety of reasons) who start playing after this patch goes into effect. No traits until level 30. Oh what “fun” that will be. You guys already have a hard enough time getting new people to stick with classes until level 11. (Btw, the current trait system is not rocket science, nor have I ever met someone that took more than 5 minutes to fully understand it)

For me, this is the final straw, I’m done with GW2. But seriously, good job getting my money. I was one of those fools that bought the game for full price. A shame, because this game really did have potential. I hope future MMORPGs will adapt a similar system in the future. (preferably where DPS wasn’t the only role worth taking)

Ah I see. Thank you both very much. I didn’t think mixed armor could flow so nicely together in this game. (Honestly, I never would have guessed it was mixed)

The other day, I saw a player running around with a full set of Seraph soldier armor. Unfortunately, I lost track of him before I could ask him where he got it. Does anyone here happen to know?

PLEASE NOTE

I do not mean any of the tiers of cultural armor. He was wearing the exact same set as my attachment.

So, I took a risk with all of my Laurels...

@Vol True. But I don’t really care much for fractals, so I was just sitting on them. Which is what I plan to go back to doing after this. Who knows, maybe someday I’ll actually want to buy something that can only be purchased with Laurels.

…And I got lucky. Not a bad way to convert 80 Laurels into gold eh? I also got quite a few dyes in the 30 ~ 50 silver range as well. Needless to say, I’m not going to push my luck, I won’t be repeating this anytime soon. heh

Seeking advice for a PvE Rifle/Longbow Build

in Warrior

Jin.1743

Mostly for PvE, but also some occasional WvW.

I’m currently level 25, and I’ve been trying my best to avoid the signet baby build. Thus far, I’m running with

5/10/0/0/0, (Rending Strikes)

Signet of Healing, For Great Justice, Shake it Off, Signet of Fury

Basically, I want to stay ranged. Rifle for single targets, Longbow for groups or tagging mobs in events. It’s been working great so far, but I’m worried about how well this will work at later levels.

Anyway, I’m looking for any advice on the following.

- Utility skills (particularly my first elite)
- Traits, and what to prioritize.
- Alternative replacements for the Longbow offhand that isn’t Great Sword. I’m aware how awesome GS is, but it’s just not for me. (I don’t like how GS looks on Asura, and I hate being rooted in melee range)

Looking for some tips for condition build

Still pretty new to the game, currently level 8, using D/D and Shortbow. Just looking for some general advice about

- What gear bonuses I should be using? (Currently using Vitality for armor, and Condition for weapons)
- Most useful heal skill for this build?
- Useful utility skills for this build. (Currently using Spider Venom)
- Harpoon Gun or Spear for underwater combat?
- I suck at using the Shortbow, is there a rotation that’s good to use? (I currently only use it for group events when there’s other people to occupy the mobs, and even then I feel like I’m using it wrong)

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info Incurafy. Although I still have some unanswered questions, I’ll probably still end up playing this profession as my main.

Lore Question

in Guardian

I understand that Guardians are not paladins (at least not in the traditional sense). But I still can’t help getting a strong “Lawful Good” vibe from them. After trying out all the professions, I’m pretty sure that Guardian is the best one that suits my play style. However I’m more a “Neutral Good” kind of guy. I really don’t do much role playing in games like these, but I still like having my “main” reflect at least a bit of my own personality.

So I guess my main questions are, what exactly governs Guardians? Is there some kind of order or school that regulates who can be Guardians? If so, does this order/school dictate what is good and what is evil?

Profession to explore the world with?

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I’ll try a Guardian though. I’m happy with my Elementalist with everything but exploring. High mobility doesn’t help so much in tight spaces. (especially tight spaces surrounded by cliffs/pits)

My main is a Elementalist, and despite being low level, I can already tell it’s going to be nothing but pain exploring with him. Granted, my own lack of experience probably doesn’t help matters, but I can’t help feeling that some other professions may have an easier time exploring.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
