Oh my gosh I would be so happy if they did that! Sadly, I do somewhat agree with Crimson Clouds.4853:
I also think it’s more feasible than an armour contest due to the amount of work required for modelling and rendering a whole armour set than a single weapon….armour would require a merchant to either sell the pieces or the recipes.
Armor would be a ton more work for rendering, but the issue with selling them through a merch wouldn’t be that big of a deal. It could just drop like regular loot in game or be sold for x gold at a merch. I’d love to have both, but I have more money on just getting the weapons.
^ This.
For sure.
Seriously. My GW fervor has been running dry for weeks. This beta was meh – don’t get me wrong, I’m still happy they had it – but I want something to excite me again! With no HoTs release date on the horizon, no recent news regarding old prof elite specializations, etc. my hype train has crashed. Just give me some fun patch I can binge on for a few days/weeks
No, I think it’s a good idea. People aren’t always looking in dungeons and it’s nice to not have to type out “stack might” to get their attention. You can’t always choose your teammates in pugs
I don’t care whether or not they add in Guild Puzzle type raids (it does sound cool though) but I could DEFINITELY go for legit, end-game raids. One of the glaring voids I need filled in this game is end-game content. I’m not talking Arah or the other vanilla dungeons either.
Seconded. I LOVE that’s different, don’t get me wrong. I love the snazzy animations between shifting legends, etc. I just want a little more power and customization in my toon.
Omg yes. I would love to just have a building I can run around inside of. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for these guild halls in HoTs
It’s not feasible to sell voice packs on the gem store because there’s no way of knowing how much it will actually cost them to maintain the multiple VAs for future released content.
I’d say there’s the same risk for the current/vanilla VA they have. I’m no game dev, but I feel like they could anticipate the additional cost of hiring that additional VA again and incorporate it into the initial gem store fee. And lol yes @CandyHearts.6025, that female human guardian really does need to calm her pants ^.^
Yeah I second all of this. I was super pumped for my revenant and then couldn’t even kill basic mobs in a timely fashion. I love the ideas behind the new prof, and I know it’s a beta, so my advice ANet is to give rev a weapon swap. Like kazi said -
Right now, the legends have absolutely zero ability to be used together, and generally you get a “good” legend for your weapon/stats (like jalis + hammer + zerk) and a legend that is borderline unusable with your current setup.
It’s no fun being stuck with one build where you can’t customize or swap legends for fear of losing effectiveness.
Oh I’m super pumped to see the the guild halls they have waiting for later regions! I’m just having flash backs to all the unique maps in GW1
There’s already a huge cost associated with voice acting.
I understand that it would cost a bit more money, but if players are willing to pay for it with gems I think it would be worth the investment. I for one would be all over this. I’m tired of my female norn sounding like some sort of angry cave troll – especially with the groaning when she falls. Give me just one extra voice option for each gender/race and I’ll be happy.
