Dear AN Devs,

Some feedback regarding a concern related to baseline adjustments.

An example:

So a skill’s base cooldown is 20 seconds yet with tweaked out traits and gear this skill’s cooldown can be reduced to lets say 12 seconds making it an overpowered skill. If I’m not forced to use a cookie cutter build then I might never end up with the overpowered version of this skill and adjusting baseline values would result in possibly an “underpowered” version of the skill for me.

I would suggest adding caps on cooldowns and boon durations(can vary from skills and PVP flags) to counter traiting skills to overpowered levels. Just a dev2dev suggestion so toss it if it doesn’t fit.

Still in PVE land duoing with my wife and used to have an absolute TON of fun on my GS Guardian. My fun was abruptly killed by turning my GS into a boring weapon. I used to play GS because of the looks and the support I was able to provide with the symbols. Maybe it wasn’t the best weapon to use but since we’re still trying to enjoy the PVE side of the game, and we’re taking the scenic route, the change was a major disappointment.

I’ve done a great deal of PVP in other games and will in this one as well and understand that PVP needs to be balanced in a timely manner. Sadly from all that I’ve read and experienced this “fix” failed in just too many ways.

2cents from a player just trying to enjoy PVE, for now…
