I haven’t stopped why would I with anets amazing league system. I mean season 1 was ok but season 2 man its the best game ever. between the perfect class balance and superb matchmaking I dotn even know what I expect next; especially since its now the most watched and played esport. I literally cant see the next logical step.

Season 2 is much worst then Season 1. Not sure how I’m managing it but I’ve made it to 1 pip from t5 sapphire 9 times now in 2 days only to make it back to the bottom of t4 sapphire 9 times. Most of what I’ve read hear is negative stuff but with a positive view; almost like the playerbase is trying to communicate with the devs that as we know don’t exist in communication land. The read sure but they dotn talk back and they don’t care. I’d say I dotn care but I’m obviously posting something. i’ll prolly even keep playing and failing to get the 2 last tiers I need for ruby. I hate the devs responsible for this. All is vain.

Alot of you are not getting what most of have been talking about so lets get this straight.
When We say recipes we are losing WE ARE NOT talking about what the devs posted about. WE know the recipes for incriptions will not be reset. What your not getting is. We have already combined Inscription + Part 1 + Part 2 and discovered for them all for all the inscriptions. And to give even more Sence of what ArenaNet is ripping from us. Heres the example count of Mats and need to get back to what we was previously at for huntsman that they will stealing from us.

Huntsman
9 Incriptions types have to crafted again.
5 dowels x 9 inscriptions x 7 weapons = 315 dowels needed again
5 × 9 × 7 = 315 Ectos
5 × 7 for each teir 6 mat = 35 fangs , powerfulboods, etc
10 × 7 Flawless Snowflakes = 70 Snowflakes
30 × 7 Karka Shells = 210 Shells

Dowels
315 × 3 ingots = 945 ori ingots
315 × 2 planks = 630 Anceint planks

Craft Comp. 10 Inscriptions need this 11 if you crafted celes
Harpoon| 2 ingots 2 planks x 10 Inscriptions = 20 ingots 20 planks
Longow Stave | 4 planks x 10 = 40 planks
Pistol Frame | 2 planks x 10 = 20 planks
Rifle Stock | 3 planks x 2(2 weapons Require this Comp) x 10 = 60 planks

1065 ingots x 2 ore = 2130 ore
850 planks x 3 logs = 2550 logs
100g for sentinals inscriptions
315 ectos
70 snowflakes
210 karka shells
35 of each teir 6 mat (Powerfull bloods, Ancient Bones,Elaborate Totem, Vicious Claw,Armored Scale,Powerfull Venom Sacs,,Vicious Fangs)

This Is what they will be ripping from my Huntsmans Crafting The time it took to gather the mats and buy any mats i still needed. mostly ectos and ori. The time spent on getting the Sentinals Incriptions in Molten Dungeon.

My weaponsmith I got done the same way before the Chaos update. Should I elaborate those totals too? Weaponsmith has 8 weapons instead of 7 so it be even more cost.

You few that can see there reason for a reset what reason is that? The new stuff being added is time based so regardless of if im 500 now or not makes no impact. Secondly you really think after the reset the rich isn’t going to climb there way to the top to do ascended crafting on the very first day of the patch release?
“But Hey I’ve already done all this and now i have to do all over again” This is what i worked hard for pretty much this first Year of Guild wars 2 to do, Since I first started crafting. and now they making me spend the next year DOING IT AGAIN. I can only see the reset as hurting everyone not helping and I see no other reason not to see it this way.

Call me crying or what ever you want. but this is a huge kick in the gut for me. Something i may end up never recovering from its what i worked hard from the very day i crafted to do Is to unlock the all items on the discovery page that was my thrill, My accomplishment in crafting not the xp gain or the level up but to discover everything. And now saying I’m gonna have to do that all over again after allowing me from headstart to do in the firstplace WTF.

And don’t forget its not just 2 of my professions that are being reset. If there going to reset all the exotic weapons What do you think going to happen when they roll out ascended armor my other 2 craft professions will get hit too Even worse for the ones that has this done for all the professions Something of which I was still working to do. this might no big deal to the ones that stopped @ 400 but this is a game killer for the ones that went past it and unlocked everything. The way i feel right now is Arenanet is reaching into my chest and pulling out my Heart with this reset. Its not a great feeling to have.
So please Arenanet don’t reset the exotic discovery’s give some sorta of retroactive reward for the exp thru discovering them all(or some of them) already instead.

Most valid reason ever to hate on them. Make every Dev read this and then maybe maybe they will understand the error of their ways. If not maybe they could be human and/or learn math.

just looking at the crap they are taking from us with out a retroactive is a kitten move, its already gated they shouldn’t be greedy like that. I think the devs really need to think about what they do and not just be kittens. in saying that…calling them kittens is the nicest I can be right now.

I have a few friends who spent tons unlocking all of the exotic recipes even ones from special events to have that stripped of their account seems wrong. Is there any word on reimbursement to people who want to keep their discoveries even if it makes crafting from 400-500 more difficult. it sounds like this was either poorly thought out or you guys really dont like your fans.

they could be more respectful to their audience. the biggest evil company thing they did was introduce the ticket scraps over just plan tickets in an attempt to get more money. people who like to collect the full sets or get multiple are at a loss. The average gamer is at a huge loss but even the hardcore wont have them all. I think they would make more if they made a way to cash shop buy individual skins or full sets. almost every Anet employee I have ever encountered though was condescending to start and generally just got worst and used PR tactics. I have met one nice one and just from the way the rest acted I don’t trust them. I do like the new skins but they are way overpriced for what they are. I also think with how many skins they introduce they could do a weapon locker style thing like spvp has so you can swap in and out skins in pve. while I know it goes against them selling more trans crystals or whatev it also means that people just wont stop buying skins in a market that’s all ready flooded in overpriced skins. no one in their right mind would reskin a item they just paid to reskin a month ago and this game is very alt unfriendly so its not like people will shell out for most of their alts. man that post goes all over. quick sum up anet better find a better way to monetize their game cause at the moment they are terrible at it and their PR is pathetic.

Its a game yet you act like any negative criticism is terrible. maybe being humble for once would be nice.

i hate scarlet. the way the character was introduced in passing at the end of aetherblades was kittened. the defying of numerous game engineering rules kittened. the control of the molten alliance, aetherblades, and the messing with dragon bash kittened. maybe anet should build characters or slowly show the rise in power of a villain maybe even have a forum vote on some of the direction to take the game. otherwise well kittened. it cheapens the game and story for a kitten villain to pop up out of no where and just be like im better then everything watch me be able to do stuff you cant oh and by the way you should respect me as a villain. oh and anet if any of you read this no you have lost my respect long ago. ill type what I want and you can take it down if you want but it doesn’t change my opinion.

how about no even at lvl 80 in full exotics/ascended this dungeon now blows yes some ideas r good but its so poorly balanced that a group of people playing for fun have to deal with crazy to get little to no actual reward. and yes u can be as elitist as u want but a game shouldn’t have content designed to consistently wipe a group especially if they know what they are doing.

Not even gonna write about what you need to fix. As a dev team u guys should just go play it as a full group of lvl 35s and give urselves whatever best gear and buffs u can at that lvl oh and since there is no trinity don’t even try to cheat by using a balanced party go with whatever the team wants to play as. then go remake it. thnx bye.

as of right now each best in slot item has a different way to get to fotm for rings and backpieces, dailys for amulets(or rings and earrings but with added cost), and earrings through must be in gigantor super guild to get to. All of the guild mission stuff is gated and tiered towards a big guild( I dotn think a guild of less then 10-15 could even accomplish a bounty with out outside help). As for Legendary weapons I would think that just playing 2k hours worth of guild wars 2 would give a person even who randomly runs around like me to get the supplies or drops to make a single one. At this point in time I have a little less then half of whats needed for one. As you state a legendary is just a exotic at this point but I see people who have attained them ridiculously easy so in a way my complaint is time invested versus bad drop rates. The game seems to be aimed at grinding at least for things in which you strive to attain. Again in GW1 by now I’d have characters well equipt across the board and I would just be playing for fun but Arenanet is now forcing a grind for certain best in slot items which now require anyone who wants best in slot( and who doesn’t) to play the game their way.

Anyone else annoyed or at this point.....

I have logged close to 2k hours in this game 1k of which are on one character. I have maybe 100g and a decent amount of mats saved up. I have a good amount of junk laying around and am no where near getting a legendary still. The game is no longer fun to play. In GW1 by now id be in top tier gear and Id be playing all end game junk while acquiring skins or actually outfitting alts. In Guild Wars 2 I sit around and look at gated content and the grind necessary to attain best in slot gear. I think I am beginning to hate the game. I know the responses probably wont be positive but I was just checking if anyone else was annoyed with the direction the sequel is heading. Honestly thinking of quitting and cutting my loses with this game.

I have some clarifications for you guys. The intent of the training mission is to make it easier for your small or less active guild to access other guild missions (or acquire anything else you need influence for). It’s not meant to replace standard bounty hunts or augment influence gain for guilds that can already earn a ton of it. To that end:

  • The commendations, rares, and silver are not awarded. That reward is specific to actual bounty missions.
  • The training mission can be researched and activated as many times as you like. You can stockpile up to 10. Keep in mind that researching a training mission will tie up one of your research slots and that boosting that research with extra influence will ultimately cancel out a portion or all of your gains from the training mission.

Nothing like finally hearing them speak and remind us to be civil about how they chose to fix their bad design with a way to make small guilds feel like they aren’t worthless. In their eyes we must still be cause nothing like forcing ever tier to be complete before you can do new stuff and nothing like adding new currency to an existing guild currency ladder. Why even set back gigantor guilds why not just let them pay influence to have it be unlocked if they have enough. Small guilds with realistic influence gains my have had a chance then but not this. I actually wonder if when you guys meet to develop anything you even talk about ramifications to community and/or if its just wouldn’t this be great to have but we cant let them get through it to fast, hey I got a great idea lets just add a new currency and have it only be gotten through this method. Please note that what I have said of you is just criticism and you do deserve it. Last I checked civil didn’t mean I had to agree with how you implemented things ( and in my opinion poorly since the end of wintersday).

They never will respond to this. It’s actually pretty pathetic at the moment how they handle communications.

They actually removed my post because of it not fitting their forum guidelines. Apparently being able to type back at them in the hopes of a real response is mean I believe I got kittened 2 times and had also said crap in it. This is my rebuttal and I will say I expect this to possibly be blocked as well. On the bright side for those of you who do get to read this the post was pulled by a actual human moderator so that means they are at least reading; if not taking any other action.

There are many people who say worst then what I have said in the above post and if you have trouble taking honest criticism from fans of your game series then so be it. Providing feedback works both ways and not always through a PR/HR department, in the past month your company’s response to guild missions has been mum even though your company was expecting great cheer it got lots of hate. In the future it would be nice to hear from the human side of you who acknowledges mistakes and not the corporate side of you that promotes new (possible) fixes to content you have just rolled out. I mean it is a true backtracking to believe this “training mission” will fix anything of what you have done and destroyed in the past month. To say that anything I have said is hurtful towards the members on your staff pales in comparison to the hurt your staff has inflicted upon your fans; especially those of us who take the time to try to use your forums to make contact with people who might have a chance at actually responding or doing something to address real issues. At least seeing how you responded to my criticism makes me proud that you at least read it; even if you don’t take the time to reflect on where I am coming from.

um but the esport would be in sPvP where you cant use transmutation stones anyway…..so why not use them to switch armors of any kind…..unless you count WvW as PvP……that in itself is a joke…it wouldnt make it any more unbalanced broken then it is through consumables, skale venom, and whatevs.

Hi I was just wondering why ranger spirits are really crappy. They seem to work like less fun not as benefity killable warrior banners. Maybe you could make them unkillable since their effects are sporadic and dont compete to the other professions banners. Or if you keep them killable maybe make it that the effect always triggers. Either way right now they blow and id rather just take other utilities and make warriors run banners(unkillable always buffing highly mobile spirits).
