adding a new language needs to attract those who don’t.

Exact!
I’m italian and I’d really like to play this game in italian, since it’s my main language and i am pretty sure, that this would be really helpful to other italians to have the best approach with Guild Wars 2. Unfortunately, many people quit playing games because it is not translated into their native language.

Localization attracts many player. Sure!

I’m italian and we Italians have asked localization (at least text)

Insert subtitles not is very expensive and I am sure, if a.net translate the game with another language many other players buy the game.

We could create a platform shared with the Russians, Portuguese, Danish, and any other language to enhance the game experience. In these years I got to know many people who have never bought GW2 precisely because of the lack of translation.

holy words! If A.net don’t want to spend money (which surely would gain with this expansion if they implemented other languages ) must give us permission and we take players to translate .
We would do a job for free.

Easy to talk when you’re Spanish, French or German (because you can choose the game in yours language). Let the word even to those who have been cut off. And I remind you that GW1 was translated in other languages

hi community!

After release of the expansion Heart of Thorns there’s hope of a localization of the game in another language (russian, italian, portughese) or at least subtitles in these languages?
Many players hope in other languages for more fun in this game.

In addition I say that many friends don’t buy the game just because it’s not localized.
This expansion can be also a way to revive the game and to bring new players to this beautiful MMORPG.
We don’t ask the dubbing but only the subtitles.

I ask at least to consider this proposal that we Russian players, Italian and Portuguese we ask from two years.

We don’t ask a lot. We are satisfied with the subtitles.

hi all!
How Arenanet has not in considered translation of the game in other languages?
Insert subtitles is not excessively expensive.
Many people do not play this beautiful game, because they know little English and are afraid of the idea of a game where they would understand little or no English.
More people are spanish, italian or portughese ( good part of Latin america).
A translation with subtitles attracts many player and, besides, relaunches the game.

In alternative Arenanet can furnish the language file we make free an amateur translation (as done in other games online).

What new features are you expecting?

7) The only part that I’d like to see translated in the game, though, are skill descriptions and tooltips. They (usually) don’t change with living-world content and may help an Italian non-English reader to have a better understanding of combat, which is 95% of the game and… again… ^^

ahahha
Would be already something!

The costs are repaid. In This way are made the investments. Welcome in the real world. Then of thing you are speaking?

Im sorry, perhaps I’m being naive but surely the cost to add subtitles is minimal. I mean ‘spending money for translation’ – does no one realise that this cost is tiny? Add all the text in GW2 and hire a few translators and in a few weeks (if that) it will be translated and that would cost little. The real expense is changing the game text of NPCs and the implementation of that. I’m less sure of this but I would assume that:

Cost of translation < New game purchases of an entire additional demographic

I mean are there not already multiple language versions for the asian v english-speaking markets?

I agree though that there are some languages that should take priority (Spanish) because Italian is not very widely-spoken (and I’m Italian!)

HOLY WORDS !!! The costs of translation are quickly repaid.

The voice-over is not important. Seem me that Guild wars 2 in Spanish it has only the subtitles and not the dubbing.
What is important, is the subtitles. Nobody is asking the moon .

What???? are you sure? I don’t believe. If it were so the other MMORPGs that support a lot of languages would have closed.
Neverwinter and Aion are (for example) translated in continuation, yet they have not closed down yet. Especially Aion that’s a lot of translate.
another example, WOW (And they support a lot of languages).

I understand your answer but it is wrong.
Arenanet has spent many money in Italy for publicity of Gw2.

In time of economic recession to pay a team of translation for subtitles is more economic.
In alternative, us fan we can also make the translation so the only cost for arenanet would be the exit of the strings in English and the entry of the strings in Italian.
As you see, it is not necessary to spend many money for subtitles in Italian (or in other language).

I’m not saying this.
The Italian community on Gw2 is increasing more every day. At least their subtitles they could insert them.

hi all!
i have a suggestion for this excellent game!
Many people I know, do not play this beautiful game, because they know little English and are afraid of the idea of a game where they would understand little or no English.
I am sure, if you translate the game with italian subtitles many other Italians buy the game.

thanks in advance for your answers
