If you miss your favorite bands one time concert in your town, do you blame the band or do you blame yourself for not finding the time to go?

If the band tours at 4AM on a work day after issuing a manifesto about how ‘all’ users should be able to attend the way they want to, I blame the band.

I know a lot of people that usually take a day of vacation to be able to follow the band…
If your son will born on a work day what will you do ?

Is your perspective really so warped as to think these are remotely comparable?
The onus is upon Anet to satisfy their customers, not for their customers to alter their lives to conform to unjustifiably rigid deployment of content. Honestly, this event has run so contrary to what Anet claimed their core tenets of design were, that I don’t have much faith left in them.

You have hit the nail pretty squarely here Val.
Only thing I’d add is even had it worked flawlessly, gone off without a hitch and rewarded everyone well and fairly… I’d still complain. This is possibly the most middling design I’ve seen in the game, a one time challenge devoid zerg to the loot pinata.
The only thing I’m thankful for this weekend is I couldn’t find friends who were available to try it. I wouldn’t want their first impressions of a game with this much potential to be so mediocre.

I don’t know whether it’s some horrible glitch from ping or whatever but I’ve gotten right to the end and failed while jumping into the broken window 3 times and at least 20 times I’ve failed on totally safe platforms while being the first in position. Lag compensation or server position tracking seems pretty kitten awful for an event as challenging as this. Edit Forum censors D (Shadows of) Amn? REAAAALLY?

It’s happened to me too. Stuck at 86,265. Issue may be related to logging to character screen which I did to alleviate a spot of lag during an event.
