Nope, living story, season 3: The human gods return to Orr, and the charr want to kill them, the asura want to cage and study them, the norn want to fight them, and the sylvari want to ask them a bunch of questions. The humans just kinda, stand to the side all bewildered and watch it happen.
Wish I knew, and had noted the name of the player talking about it. I didn’t start to consider it seriously until many hours later.
I have yet to hear any kind of NPC conversation near it, though my engineer did discover that if she used Jump Shot to enter and landed perfectly, she’s be tossed up and down indefinitely instead of getting thrown right out.
So that’s progress of a sort. The thing now is to corner Josh, Peter, or Rubi to find out why they were teasing the Wizard’s Tower during the PoI. Bribery with cookies might be necessary before it’s all said and done.
I was shouting at the computer screen when they teased that. I’ve wanted to know about that for YEARS!
Who knows what Rytlock experienced in the Mists?
I do know that when the PC experiences the mist-machine (Omadd’s), they see the eternal alchemy, and dragons, and such. The dream also seems to be a part of the mists, and the shadow of the dragon shows up there. From what we’ve seen, I wouldn’t be surprised if the dragons have a tangible presence in the mists.
You know, Keane is a treasure hunter. Maybe he found a hidden temple in Maguuma somewhere?
The Charr-Ascalonian conflict happened over 250 years ago. For Americans and United Kingdomers, this is further removed from now than the American Revolution. There are a lot of legitimate reasons to be mad about the Charr-Ascalonian conflict, but I think that Tyrians realize that all the people involved are long dead. I side with the Charr more than the humans, in this case. They claimed the land 250 years ago, and no matter whether it was moral or not, it’s theirs.
I did notice a couple of strange changes, but I figured that while the Captain’s Council was in charge of design, the Consortium was in charge of the actual construction. The buildings were airlifted into LA overnight, so there were obviously some oversights. “I want some flags on the north side” turns into the wrong kind of flags. As for the actual “Arch,” I think that name comes from the keep in Old Lion’s Arch that has long since crumbled.
I do wonder when Magnus and Ellen will notice these changes. Or if Evon will use these changes to discredit the council. I suppose only time will tell…
This is happening for me as well. I haven’t found a solution, but I will post here if I do.
-Edit- I reinstalled the client, and now it’s working for me.
