I bough GW2 at the release in 2012. I’ve been av big fan since the first GW games.

I knew that GW2 were only playable on windows at the time, because there was no client for mac. I installed the game on windows through bootcamp on my iMac, and it worked perfectly fine!

When the mac client came out I was thrilled. Bootcamp was not needed anymore. The mac client worked perfectly and I could play for hours, and participate in events without problems.
The past two years, the game client has been quite troublesome. Its getting worse, and worse. It all started with WvW. It crashed during overflow. That was the only problem to begin with. After a while, I decided to reinstall the game. But the game client crashed every time i tried to install it. Fortunately, the problem solved itself and I could finally install the game. But my happiness was short. The game crashed even more than before. I though the new HoT expansion probably would solve the major issues with the mac client. But no…
Now I get disconnected, and the game quits itself during events. Which is very frustrating when your in a boss fight or doing events with lots of players.

I tried everything before I uninstalled the game. Including reducing the graphics from highest to lowest. It did not work, unfortunately.

So, I uninstalled the game. And now I´m stuck, because it won´t install/patch at all. The client/GW2 icon show up in the dock, but the window does not open at all. I´ve tried to restart my iMac several times, but it does not seem to work.

It´s very frustrating, because I tried to solve the problem with the game crashing while playing WvW, but now it´s even worse. I can´t play at all.

I´ve been reading different topics about people with the same issues as me. (Client won’t open/install). It seems like this is a common problem on Mac. And I wondered if someone knows how to fix this problem!

I´ve been playing on my iMac (mid 2011) for while now. No problems what so ever, until recently when I tried to play in WvW. The game crashed several times during large fights with other players. I tried to use the repair code in the Terminal app, but it did not work.

So, after having lots of issues, I tried to reinstall the game. I deleted the game file in Application Support first and then I reinstalled the game. Everything seemed to work perfectly, but then the gamle client stopped working. The GW2 icon appears in the dock, but the window won´t show. When I click on “Exposè” the window shows up, but it´s nothing in it (it turns blue, when you drag the pointer over it).

I tried to reinstall several times and restarting the iMac. But the problem still persists.

Is this a common problem with the Mac client? Does anyone else have the same problem? Anything that can solve it?

I´ve always had problems with the BLTC as long as i´ve played on Mac. Sometimes the trading post (or gem store) is the only tab that works. Or none of them works at all.
Another time it can work perfectly without any problems. When the problem occurs the golden circel are loading infinite.
I can play for many hours and need the BLTC for some reason. Maybe while crafting. In middle of the game session the trading post works, and a minute later it wont work at all. It´s quite annoying.

When I have problems with the BLTC i try to relog, or restart the game. But it doesen´t seem to work. I also though the BLTC could be slow while being in overflow.
I´ve talked to my guildmates and friends while playing Gw2, and they don´t have the same problem as me. It seems to be a problem for Mac-users.

BLTC was working okay (from time to time) before the 15. april patch. I tried to claim the transmution charges by entering the gem store (yesterday and today) but it wont work. Loading screen in every tab going infinite.

It makes me a little bit mad, when it´s free content, and we´re not able to get it because of the bugs related to BLTC. If Arena Net could do something with this problem, the gameplay would be more enjoyable.
The problem with BLTC makes it unfair for Mac-users, or users with BLTC problems.
