This I agree with. I wish there were more players doing it, not only communities with map jumping, but guilds putting LFMs and all. Sometimes I wait and wait to see if there’s any guild doing it, and I am sad to see empty LFM.

I don’t think it’s too hard. The only problem is some players do not listen and that you have to get enough players on one map (around 90 at least) for it.

I am playing for a month now. Went to try TT 5 times. 3 were a success. One organized by RNG guild, second one with PHSD or sth like that guild and third with gw2community.

Truth be said worms are hard to be completed without some organized group of players, teamspeak and others willing to listen to them. But hey, it’s a worldboss. It shouldn’t be doable by everyone just spamming their skills blindly.

The sad thing is I don’t see it organized so often (they mostly do it on Saturdays) and to get into good group with commanders leading the event you have to camp on the TT map at least 40 mins before the boss… Thats a lot of time.
The other sad thing is : even when someone is leading the event and writing/telling players what to do – even on map chat – some players just ignore it and can seriously lower the chances of completion. Maybe they don’t understand english, maybe they’re just mean, but a group of players killing abominations when we couldn’t get in anyway almost wiped our Amber Wurm, they also casted light fields everywhere… : P. We said to not do it in say chat, in map chat, in squad, on teamspeak, and they still were doing it… So yeah.

Anyway – to be honest I like this difficulty. I like that you have to communicate with others, plan what to do and teamplay to complete it. That’s what MMO’s are about I think.

Actually I think there should be more events like that – not with monsters hitting hard or you having to dps your best, but with coordination and communication of players required.

I think that half of the world bosses are just sad. Big dragon-like things that don’t even swip their tails or bite, or move their claws almost at all. I mean… I’m sad every time Tequatl is doing NO dmg at all to anyone, his waves are, his minions are, but he alone is hitting like a 1 year old baby :P.

So will any dev clarify? I’m still hoping for Black Friday.

I just want Black Friday Sale to happen… Cause I see no announcments sadly :<.
I wish for Living Story 2 bigger sale, and bags/bank slots sales.

The problem is that jumping puzzles are supposed to be an optional extra you do for fun if you want to.

A lot of people hate them, literally hate them, and refuse to do them at all. If the rewards were better, especially if there were unique armour sets which can’t be obtained anywhere else, then they’d feel pressured to do them and resent it. There’s already enough anger over legendary armour only coming from raids and that’s an area of the game Anet want to push people into.

Meanwhile those of us who enjoy doing jumping puzzles and already choose to do all of them don’t really gain anything from it. You can repeat all the puzzles any time you choose, you don’t need Anet to tell you to go and do it because there’s a new shiny thing stuck on the end. (Which won’t be “special” any more after a week or so when everyone else has farmed it too and moved on to the next thing.)

Having said all that the end chests from the puzzles already do have a small chance to drop rare skins. They can drop any piece of equipment that’s available as a drop, including named exotics and precursors.

And I hate pvp/www and I know many who hate pvp/www as well… yet there ARE good rewards in there. So why not making jumping puzzle drop some things obtainable in different way too, but some good stuff too… like in PvP.
I enjoy jumping puzzles anyway but I find it unfair that I never get anything good from there. Really… not 1 good / valuable drop there : P.

Core game bored me very quickly.
Living Story, Fractals, Gliding, HoT maps are all great to me. Ane elite specializations. I really love chronomancer more than I loved my mesmer.

Now I regret I ever left because there’s so much to catch up.

I think the exact opposite.
Leveling 1-80 was by far the most boring thing EVER. Hearts on maps are so freaking boring. and Tyria maps are just boring. I hated it.

Now when I’m 80 and I can do fractals, all dungeons, HoT maps I am much more happy with the game. It’s finally fun!
And gliding is just awesome. Even doing boring Tyria maps … it’s just less boring with gliding.
HoT maps are fun and interesting. Lots of events, hard to get places and no stupidly boring heart-quests.
I also love the elite specialization. My main is mesmer and leveling it was so painful. Now with chronomancer game is fun, I feel needed by my team.

If we all got buffs then all mobs would need a buff too, so it doesn’t make sense.

I don’t like WvsWvsW thought… it’s stupidly unbalanced that some guy with legendaries and ascended gear can 1-second burs you if you don’t have equally good gear…. PvP is more balanced, it’s more skill related than “I payed for gems and bought items with gold/played for months and have better gear than you, you new player! How dare you to be new and not have the best gear. Haha, now feel the pain!”

But – if we think the opposite, then it’s good. It means the game caters to different players. If I like my “end-game” fractals etc then that;s what I should play. If you like leveling and wandering around the world, just create a new character and level him up if that’s what you like to do : P.

I am returning player, played just a little bit on a launch date. A month ago my friends started playing a lot, so I joined and I started to love GW2 and won’t leave it for loooong time.
Sadly, I’m unable to purchuase a lot of things. I payed for HoT and now my funds are at 0$ for games for next year.
I am collecting gold to unlock Living World season 2, but there are some items I’d love to get too. Collecting enough gold for LWs2 will take me probably more than 6 months, so if anyone would like to share my desired items with me I will be very grateful.

My sylvari mesmer would love these.
If I get it from anyone, or get enough gold to purchuase LWs2 and this, I’ll edit this post so you know y desire was fulfilled.

Hi. I’ve been playing GW2 for a little over 2 weeks now, I’m returning player.
I have problems with partying/grouping system. Can’t find almost anything in “searching for group” tool.

When I’m running Mad King Labirynth there is a bunch of people and they all say to me “Join the squad”. How am I supposed to find the place where I can click “join/apply to join” if I’m not invited by someone?

Also I’d like to run Ascent to Madness. Can’t see anyone searching for member for it on /map, so I tried to search for group or creating one, but in the Dungeons section I can’t see it. I can’t find it anywhere : <.

How do you do it in GW2? I’m used to more lucid grouping system.

But you convinced me – thats a good thing, I needed that. Maybe I’ll learn to like Caithe again if nothing like that happens later on. I guess I just felt like she taken my choice from me and I didn’t even think about the possibility the Guard may warn the others – and it’s so obvious … I mean how could I have missed that.

Maybe you’re right. But considering that I’m doing almost everything she asks me to do I guess I kinda expected she would listen to my one request. Also – she didn’t force the Guard to talk like in the plan we made, she wanted to fight and threat – I made the promise so the Guard would talk to us about the deer. So I’d say I made the promise to fulfill the mission – mine and Caithe – accordingly with the plan we created.
But yeah – she broke the promise because I made the promise in the first place. But I had to make the promise because she didn’t even try to act like we planned and convince the Guard to tell anything.

Maybe she’s not that false. Maybe she just doesn’t think straight and objectively when it comes to the Nightmare Court.

But I know now why it took my attention so much – in moon shield story I liked the fact that I can act with what Caithe wanted or with what I wanted. In this story I didnt really get to choose what I want to do – just how to do it – and when I chose how to do it like Caithe asked me to, she just didn’t stick to plan I decided on. Maybe that’s why it got me irritated.

Sadly you may be right with that one xD.
About her not understanding other races – it may also be a point – I guess I always imagined her to be lethal but wise with her decisions and understading to others, maybe I saw her as too much and got dissapointed.

Its not that much about killing innocent – I can understand she hates to see what becomes of her friends when they turn to the Nightmare Court and I know that she lost her dear ones for it too.
But the thing is she should care about her side – like my character – and should not force me to not deliver the promise she knew I made – that’s what made me dislike her. Like she’s without any honor and care for her people.
I like some “evil” characters – like Renvari – I thought he was great. I just can’t help but see Caithe as false person now, who is nice to you to get what she wants but she doesnt necessarily cares about what you may want or need.

Now I also noticed that in moon shield story she didn’t want me to help Tiachren even thought she knew how it is to loose someone to Nightmare Court and hope for the best. She was ready to loose him to the Court/death too if I didnt decide to help him (lucklily I helped him, not her back then). Then I explained it by her wanting to help villagers more, but now I am not so sure – she already had lots of wardens there. She lived through similiar thing like Tiachren and yet couldn’t find compassion in her to help him out and understand him.

Now she certainly doesn’t seem to me like a good mentor to follow –
It’s kinda sad, but after this story I really cannot force myself like her and she used to be my favourite story character.

True, but still. I always imagined Caithe to be the good one with honor and that made the scratch on this image. Now I can’t look at her the same way as before, sadly :P.

Didnt know if I should write in Archive or Lore&Story.
The white deer story is great, but I have one little distaste after it. Earlier I player the moon shield story and it was also amazing.
But in this one when I got the Nithmare Court Guard to tell me where the deer is I promised her life and to not tell anyone about her betraying N Court secrets.
And the distaste is – even though I told Caithe I gave the Guard my word, she still killed that Guard.
I have really strong dislike towards Caithe after that :P. The moon shield story didn’t leave me hating on any character and feeling like I’ve broken my word.

Maybe that’s just me, but that’s the first thing I didn’t like in any of my character stories. Or maybe I misunderstood and she didnt kill her but it certainly looked like she did.

Im kinda dissapointed I cant play it right away as Im a new player and am like lvl 10 or so – and itll take me probably something like 2-3 months to get to 80 – but Im happy my story won’t end at 80 because I’m PVE player who loves some good story. Im also glad that if we’re not 80 we won’t miss it – will be able to play it later and watch it now
