Ever feel like you’re invisible? Or that you’re surrounded by people that just don’t understand or accept you? The Phoenix Effect [RISE] is an all-inclusive community that focuses on friendships, not numbers, and is shaped by people who felt that same way elsewhere. All walks of life are welcomed in [RISE], and that goes for anyone regardless of race, religion, sexuality, gender, nationality, etc (we’re a LGBTQ+ friendly guild!). Each individual is given the ability to be themselves with us and they are accepted for who they are and treated with the respect they deserve. We have rules in place to protect members from excessive negativity and prejudice, and therefore this can be considered a safe and comfortable place to be.
We aim to provide access to and assistance with all content in the game, and have plenty of highly experienced individuals who are ready and willing to help with just about anything, especially newer player content. We are consistently bringing new players into our ranks and transforming them into elder dragon killing machines, and love helping folks understand builds and mechanics as well as strategies both in PvE and PvP. We of course also focus on the endgame and have weekly dungeon and fractal runs, including Aetherpath twice a week! [RISE] also occasionally sets up Silverwastes event maps for success with guild commanders at every fort. We are currently focused on preparing our guild for the coming content in Heart of Thorns, and have raid leaders lined up already.
The real value of our guild is in our colorful group of individuals and the silly things we do together. We have and continue to provide awesome social events, contests, mini-games and parties that we continually reminisce about with each other, long after they’ve ended! Even though we tackle all of the game’s content together, the most fun we have is when we’re bringing our entire community together for laughs. [RISE] has fun with the simplest things, including parading around Lion’s Arch and Divinity’s Reach as 20+ gigantic spiders with huge kites (yes that was us!).
Each night we have 20-30+ members online at a time, and even though we don’t require 100% reputation, most of the roster reps the guild and we usually don’t see more than 2-6 people unrepping at any given time. Our Teamspeak server is often populated as well, with 15-20+ online during peak hours.

Our month-long scavenger hunt, the Flameseeker Challenge, has been an epic success so far and we’re only 5 days in! I’m so excited to see who wins the legendary shield, The Flameseeker Prophecies on the 28th! 
A warm welcome to [RISE]’s newest friend, Aylith!
That was a fantastic community event we just had earlier!
We started it all off with trivia, followed by 5 giveaways for gold and 3 giveaways for an Abyss Dye, Golden Lion Dye and a Ley-Line Staff Skin! Fireworks and various party favors were continuously provided throughout the event. After giveaways, we did a parade around the area and then had our finale where everyone spammed fireworks and I used 2x Dragon’s Fortune Firework Crates to give everyone in the area +50% Magic Find for 2 hours! Thank you to everyone that came out to hang with [RISE]! Hope you had fun and enjoy your prizes!
After we finished with the event we went out to Silverwastes as a guild and coordinated an event map for Vinewrath!

We had an AWESOME party last night!
It started off with trivia, costume brawl and a special Belcher’s Bluff team contest, all with prizes! We also had live music playing thanks to our resident DJ, Will/Petra, whom also was handing out gold prizes if folks guessed the songs correctly! There were a couple of randomized giveaways as well, in which skins, dyes and gold were won! In total, we handed out over 700g worth of prizes! \o/
At the end of our party all 20+ of us transformed into giant plastic spiders carrying Birthday Blasters, Golem Arms, kites and fireworks which were all hilariously up-scaled in size. We then “invaded” Lion’s Arch, Divinity’s Reach and Rata Sum in the most epic guild parade EVER. TeamSpeak was roaring with laughter and I had tears in my eyes over how funny it was to watch the reactions of bystanders.

hi-is there any Guild activity during EDT daytime hours? I liked your mission statement but wonder if anyone is one when I am- 10am-3pm EDT on weekday (I have a weird work schedule) I’m a WvWer and sometimes PVE player on TC. Thanks Folks
Hey there!
Currently we have more evening and late-night players than morning/daytime players, and therefore the majority of guild events are scheduled during the evening hours. With that said however, we are most definitely making the effort to get some coverage in place for guild activities during the day hours. We do have a fair amount of folks that play during the day regularly (during the times you mentioned and onward) and therefore we aim to accommodate them ASAP. I am also soon switching to a new work schedule where I will have a split shift with hours free during the day between 2pm and 7pm EST, so I plan to use part of that time to initiate activities in-game for the afternoon players.
Anyway, hope that answers your question! We’d love to have you with us if you’re still interested! We’ll understand though if you pursue a different guild, and if that’s the case I wish you the best in your search!

Last night’s PvP event was pretty awesome, even after it “ended” we still had a ton of folks in the arena sparring until almost 3AM! So much fun!
Tonight we’ve got the weekly Trivia event followed by a make-up guild mission session for those that missed it yesterday. After guild missions we’ll hit up any activity as part of the very first “Member’s Choice Night”!
Also, we are still recruiting new friends! Anyone of any experience level is welcome in our ranks. We are especially looking for individuals who enjoy being a part of a leadership team and providing activities for a guild, and would be interested in taking up Officer or Assistant positions! The potential for promotion to one of these positions is immediate upon expiration of the initial trial member period. If this sounds like something up your alley, be sure to mention it in your application on our website!

Hey there!
I read over your post and I’d like to invite you to try out my guild. I currently lead a guild called The Phoenix Effect [RISE], which is primarily based on Tarnished Coast. We are a mostly casual guild with a very laid-back, friendly and accepting atmosphere. We have some new players and returning players among our ranks and regularly provide scheduled events, assistance and coaching to those leveling and just getting into things like dungeons, fractals and world events for the first time. We are very patient as well, and do not make a scene over mistakes made in dungeon runs or whatnot. Overall, the purpose of our guild is to provide a fun, social and comfortable atmosphere where everyone can be themselves and not have to worry about negativity.
There’s also quite a few of us who played GW1 as well, and occasional scheduled GW1 meetups are in the works.
[RISE] is currently 58 friends strong, and our primary activity hours are between 5PM and 3AM Eastern. All guild events are also scheduled in the Eastern NA timezone, which you might find convenient. The guild mainly is focused on PvE content such as dungeons, fractals, farming, world events, etc, but we also have weekly PvP and will soon be in WvW weekly as well.
We do not require 100% representation, only partial rep and we ask to be considered one’s primary guild. However, we do not kick for lack of representation and anyone that wants to stay in the guild but wants to rep another guild more can remain with our community under a special guest rank. There are no expectations for how much or how long a member should play the game, as well, with relaxed rules for activity.
We don’t recruit numbers, we recruit friends! And we’d love to have you with us!

I lead a new close-knit and highly diverse community called The Phoenix Effect [RISE]. We focus on all game activities, whether it be PvE, PvP or WvW. Overall we are a casual social guild, and very newbie-friendly. We’re currently 58 friends strong and our roster is very active with 15-20+ online each night on average. The overall vision and plan for our guild size is to reach no more than 70-80ish members, as we don’t want a big guild, just big enough. When I created this guild, my mission was to forge an all-inclusive community full of good friends, not numbers, and I feel that this is best accomplished if the guild stays small.
A main particular purpose of [RISE] is to provide a “safe space” for players from all walks of life, and to be perfectly accepting of anyone regardless of where they come from or who they are. Yes, this means we are LGBTQ+ friendly, and in fact, our roster has many individuals who identify as such (including myself). We have many wonderful people among our ranks! We also play other games together as well, on occasion, such as SMITE, WoW, Warframe, and Hearthstone (this one is just recently emerging). However, GW2 is the guild’s primary game.
[RISE] is primarily a Tarnished Coast guild, but anyone on any server can participate in the bulk of our activities due to the megaserver system. The only thing that you would not be able to do with us while on Eredon Terrace is World VS World.
All of our guild activities are scheduled in EDT (GMT -4) and our most active hours are between 5PM and 3AM. We are on Teamspeak together for just about all of that time. We do NOT require 100% rep, as this is a game where everyone has the ability to be in 5 guilds at once and we do not wish to limit that ability entirely. We only ask that members consider [RISE] their primary guild and represent for the majority of their playtime to be considered a full member. If a member prefers to represent another guild more often, they can still remain with us under a special guest rank and we do not kick players for not representing.
