I did about 8-10 of those portals last night and got 5 keys. Did about the same number tonight and got one? This just RNG or has anyone else noticed a big dip in the number of these dropping?

Hey, stopped playing for about 6 months and just started again but am I missing something? I don’t get what selling it means. People are paying to enter the dungeon with just the last boss up or something? So they don’t have to run it? As I remember only p4 was long and the final boss required some decent DPS but then I remember that they nerfed him. So what has changed since then? I remember doing p2 and p3 daily til I got all my armor. Did they buff those too?

So I ran FOTM 38 last night and after killing the boss the large chest on the ground had nothing in it. I did still get the bonus chest on the side of the screen. At least one other person in the party said he got nothing from the big chest as well. Just wondering if this is a one in a million bug or if this is a new problem.

So I haven’t got this yet but from what I read this removes toxic pollen, torment, poison and confusion. Toxic pollen is considered a condition right? If so consume conditions takes care of all of these and makes it worthless. However if toxic pollen is some other type of debuff not considered a condition it may be somewhat useful? Anyone know if it’s considered a standard condition?

So no Halloween dungeon this year?

Okay so so far halloween has been a rehash of last year with one event taken out and one small instance where you fight the prince and get a candy corn pet added in. Is that it? Is there no new dungeon? Last year we got to kill the mad king over and over with a chance of some decent drops. Everyone was speculating that instead we may be fighting the prince. I there a chance it will come later or now that the Mad King showed up for Mad King Says or is that it?

Tried it 2×. Only got Tot bags. I’m pretty sure I got the witch hat on all my characters last year. So I have to spend 800-1000 gems to buy another character slot to get a free mask. Pass. Just another ploy for the gem store.

Okay so I gave it another shot and spent a good 3 hours in there. Switched to all my alts so they could each get the chest and I got…….Nothing. Just greens. Honestly I don’t know anywhere else in the game where you can kill non stop for 3 hours and not get anything. So yeah I’m done.

So after farming the bosses for 2 hours in the labyrinth I opened by 10-12 champ bags and received all greens and you guessed it bloodstone dust. If I run champs in frostgorge for that long I’m probably going to get about 10 rares or so. What are we killing these for? Are they dropping rare halloween skins?

Last year the bosses in here you could kill I think it was once a day per character. I got about 5-6 exotics all mad kings gear which was cool. But I’m just wondering now what is the point? The clocktower is the same way. I got exotic boots for all my characters last year. This year one pair of gloves. Lunatic inquisition is the same as last year. Seems the only difference is the small mini quest at the beginning in the Charr home city. That’s it? Nothing new till the end of the month?

I always see these A-net haters on here and think they whine about everything but is this feels like they didn’t try. Then with the mat requirements for the special items. Either they have some surprise releases for new quests/games they are keeping secret for now and changing drop rates at a later time or there’s nothing for me to do but wait till the end of the month.

So is anything good dropping for you. Post what you’ve got in the time you’ve spent here.

Awesome. Just what I was looking for. Looks like it was a axe/focus build that got me. Just assumed it was dagger as the fast/hard he damaged me. But due to the patch axe #2 is pretty deadly. Thanks.!

Hey, So I’ve been away from GW2 for about 6 months. A friendly mentioned they buffed necros a while back. What were the changes? Anyone have a link to what patch they were buffed in.

I’ve been a scepter dagger/Staff necro for a while and always thought it was pretty good but played some PVP the other day against a dagger dagger necro and he owned me. Can anyone recommend some good PVP dagger dagger builds?

Wow all this talk of pet dodges etc and my flesh golem still stands around and does nothing for about 25% of the time. When are necro’s gonna get some love?

Okay I logged onto the forums today and it took my login/pass but now it shows a new account Id: Kazoo Cherry.7921. It used to be Crazyhooker.####. I can still see all my posts etc and I can log into my game and all my items are there. Not quite sure what’s going on here. Should i change my password again? I didn’t even know I could change my account name.

FOTM 20+ Still getting Vials

So it sounds like they went in and removed globs from 20 but forgot to remove vials too….. Great. I’d much rather have globs than vials.

So I’m also wondering how they adjusted the fix. Say beforehand you had a .1% chance for a vial and a .1% chance for a glob and a .1% chance for Shard. Did you have a .3% chance of getting something? So when they fix this and remove vials then do we just have a .1% chance of anything? If so the solution would be worse than the problem. Or would they buff it up to say .3% chance for a shard? Would be nice to know.

FOTM 20+ Still getting Vials

So can someone confirm this is a bug or are you supposed to still get Vials after 20. My last 3 runs of level 20 the only essence I got was 1 vial. Not a glob, not a shard and yes my reward level is 20+. Now to my knowledge isn’t is supposed to be:

Levels 1-9 Vials
Levels 10-19 Globs
Levels 20+ Shards

Personally at this rate It’s going to take me months. With a full time job and 3 kids. I have enough time to run one fractal a night and do the daily. I figure I’m getting about 1 vial every 5 runs. It takes 5 vials to make one glob. 5 globs to make one shard. So at this rate it looks like another 125 fractals before I get enough to upgrade another ring.

Second I’m assuming they are affected by MF? If so do we no need to gimp ourselves by putting on MF gear just so we can get globs/shards to progress?

Cannot wear two of the same rings from fotm?

Doh! Yeah I found this out the hard way too when I finally saved up for a second Ancient Karka Shell Earring. The last MMORPG I played was EQ and these items were labled “LORE”. Also not very descriptive but after playing for a while eventually everyone learned what it meant. Just not very helpful for new players.

Necro needs a buff in my view

As someone who has been playing a necro from the start let me point out a few things. First let me say I still really like playing the necro but they could improve a lot of things.

First off what I don’t like. Someone mentioned damaging things that can’t bleed, like siege, doors etc. This is very true. They take forever for a necro to kill. Golem charge works well but it’s got a decent cooldown.

Golem AI sucks. Many times you’ll see it standing around doing nothing. Why haven’t they fixed this by now?

Necro’s lack burst. This is true. Sure you could spec for power and go dagger/dagger and change up your build but you’re still not going to get those really high numbers that other classes have. But most of the necro skills are built around condition damage.

They nerfed epidemic down to 5 or 6 targets. This was the necros most powerful spell specially in pvp or WvW. Before you could spread the all the conditions on a target to everyone in the range of the epidemic now just hits a max of I think 5.

Okay positives or why some of the above isn’t so bad. In WvW yes you lack burst but you have lots of wells/marks. You can do lots of damage to multiple people and can still hit a decent amount with epidemic. Especially if your Control T targets and get lots of conditions on them before epidemic. People must understand this before you make one. You’re more of a support class. You can do a moderate amount of damage to a lot of people. You’re not going to do tons burst damage to one.

Also as a caster you’re very hard to kill. You have more HP than any other caster class and you have second lifebar.

You have great range with staff marks to put on walls and in front of people your chasing or behind for people you’re being chased by.

You practically have perma swiftness with locust swarm (warhorn) and spectral walk. Remember they stack in duration so drop both at the same time and your refresh will come up fast.

Pve wise I love necros especially when you’re fighting 10 things at once. Single target weak mobs you’re not as effective as it takes time to stack bleeds. Bosses and mobs with lots of HP you’re actually very effective. I find I’m very effective in dungeons and fractals. Mainly due to the mobs having lots of HP so you can stack all your bleeds you can use lots of wells/marks because your normally fighting multiple mobs at once.

Am I the only one suffering this bug? Can some of you other necros try this. Unselect the skill and look at bleed duration on one of your skills. Then select the skill and see if it increases. Mine does not. I think this is a big deal as this cost 10 points. Since no one else has responded I’m just wondering if I’m the only one bugged….

Trait: Hemophilia 20% increased bleeding duration. Just got this last night and does not increase the bleed duration at all. I can see a change when I pump up my skills directly on whatever skill uses bleed. Same deal with items. You see the change on the skillbar. But nothing for this. It’s possible that it’s working but not showing up on skillbar but as for right now you can’t tell. Anyone else notice this?
