You didn’t say what server you and your wife are on but if you are playing on Stormbluff Isle, or are willing to move to a new server. I’d like to invite you to take a look a Heroes Etc… We are a casual friendly group that plays all aspects of the game. We understand real life often regulates our play time so that is not an issue here.
For voice chat, we use our own Mumble server and we also use the community Stormbluff Isle TS3 server for communicating with the SBI server in whole during WvW battles.

Heroes Etc… Is a guild of mature gamers who has been a part of the SBI community from the beginning. We value camaraderie, mutual respect and most of all, having a good time. Our core members have been together as a guild since the Nov 2004 BWE of GW1, playing through all three campaigns of that game as well as other MMOs, and we plan on continuing and growing together in GW2.
In Heroes Etc…, you will find members who enjoy just about all aspects of the game. Some will prefer to play only PvE, PvP or WvW but most of us enjoy all three. Within the membership you will find gamers from casual players to hardcore title hunters, explores and crafters. And while we do have some power levelers, there is no requirement to “keep up”. For most of us, it’s the journey not the destination that is important.
A few things about us:
We strive to create a family atmosphere, both in how we interact in game and in voice chat. Foul language, racism, leet speak, and terms used merely for shock value are not tolerated.
Most of us have family and a life outside of gaming so we understand that real life always comes first.
We are a North America based guild with members from most parts of the U.S and Canada but we welcome players from any part of the world. Playing times vary, with the most activity during the evening hours EST-PST.
We are not a large guild and we consider ourselves to be “casual” in nature but most of us do take our gaming seriously. Voice chat is available via our Mumble server and the SBI community TS server and many members enjoy just hanging out there while running around in game. No matter what you enjoy, PvE, PvP, WvW or dungeons someone in the guild is a specialist and is happy to help.
We have in place a philosophy of mutual respect and good sportsmanship that is at the very core of what makes Heroes Etc… the guild that it is. We would encourage you to take a look at our web site and read through our guild Philosophy, About Us and Recruitment pages and then ask yourself if you would fit the idea of a Hero. If so, fill out an application and drop us a line on our forums. We are specifically seeking players who fit our philosophy. No experience is necessary.
