I’m 10 points away from maxing a Tempest… now I feel like my effort has been trivialized.
On the other side of the coin you have me, sitting at home watching a movie because most of my guildies are strangely absent this week.
At least with this change I can finish my specialization on all my characters even if there is nobody around to help me.
I am sorry if it annoys some players, but at least it should bring back many of the forum warriors to the game.

Not annoyed. Its just that my elite now feels less important and less significant than what it really was intended to be.
I’m 10 points away from maxing a Tempest… now I feel like my effort has been trivialized.
If it helps, you’ll get those points back and have a 150-point head start on maxing the next elite spec that comes out (like players who did core Tyria completion had a 200-point head start with this crop).
YAY? I get to wait 3 more years for this magical head start that everyone’s going to complain about then too? Just feel like my effort is unrewarded…

I have a guildie that recently purchased a Letter of Commendation for guild influence and we’re not quite sure if we should use it or not. From the livestreams, we know that guild influence is not going to be worth much once HoT is released. So my question is: How are Letters of Commendation going to be altered in the future?

I just ran across your post and I thought I’d tell you a little about [OSD] Order of the Silver Dragons. First of all, we’re a multi-winged gaming guild that’s been around since 2006. Since you also play EQ2 and SWTOR, if you were to join us here in GW2 you also would have access to our groups in those games as well… in case you’re looking for a guild or even an extra party member.
To tell you a little about us, we currently have a little over 60 members who mostly play during the North American prime time in the evenings and on weekends. We do ask that members represent the guild 100% but do allow folks to have personal guilds for guild bank purposes. We also ask that members treat each other with respect. Other than that we’re a laid back, family style guild who understands that folks work, have children, and a life outside of the game.
We do have folks that love to run dungeons and fractals of the mists who can easily explain the mechanics of the fights if you’re new. We also have all the guild missions unlocked and starting next week we will start spreading them out throughout the week (we used to run them all on Sat night, but it starts to become a big time commitment so we’re going to try spacing them out throughout the week to see how that works for everyone). Once the new Living Story kicks off, we’re going to be doing guild group runs of those events so everyone has a group to do the latest content with.
