In path 2, we were able to trigger all 3 traps twice in a row each, but after that they stopped triggering completely. So we were unable to kill Ghost Eater. Resetting the fight didn’t reset the traps either, so we ended up unable to complete the dungeon.

I noticed that GHOST EATER heals now. But, is it normal that there’s a limited number of times you can use the traps? We got Ghost Eater to almost dead, but all of our traps remained fully charge and won’t remove his ghost form. We even resetted the fight and the traps remained unusable.

-Phantasmal Disenchanter has some niche uses over Null Field, specially against mobs that relies on boons and frequently refreshes boons every 5 seconds – like the Dredge boss in the Dredge Fractal, after you blow up the door.

-Aracane Thievery has a gimmick use against mobs like the Jellyfish boss or Ascalonian Monks, both in fractals, that puts on 25 stacks of might. Then on the Dredge Fractal, you can easily find mobs that get 1 minute of Swiftness and Protection.

-Phantasmal Defender needs 15 points in Inspiration so that it has Retaliation and Regeneration on itself. Do note that Retaliation damage is not based on damage received. So, it’s extra useful against enemies that do fast multiple weak hits instead of slow single hard hits. A perfect example would be the Poison Golem room in the Crazed Asura fractal where my Defender spams 300s on the golem when its spinning.

I like Prayer to Dwayna, especially when dealing with Skill Point Givers. I’m a thief, and when I use Hide in Shadows it’s easy to that Skill Point Giver to rest and goes friendly.
Also it’s my highest healing skill for my thief. Is that bad? O.o

But that’s only from a soloing perspective. Anywhere else, the extra utility that Hide In Shadows gives you is far better. It may heal for less, but you also go invis which lets you drop aggro which means less damage taken.

Ya, its the highest heal and elementalist can get so there ya go. Its slightly longer cooldown, but often its decided before that anyway. The best elementalist heal gives a bonus effect however like swiftness, so there is still reason not to take PtD.

Idk. I have healing set and just use Signet of Restoration (without Written in Stone). With Soothing Mist, heal on dodge in water, heal on attune to water, and water weapon skills, I have plenty of constant healing without needing any big burst like Dwayna, so the signet fits my style perfectly.

No but I ran with classes that did, like banner warriors. I am very much into the team game and synergy though class interaction. My warrior friends do nott have much innate protection, and I didn’t have regen. But together his banners allowed me to amass some protection which I pass on with the signet.

This kinds teamwork made well thought out group composition quite useful and when you take it away it removes some of the usefulness I had in a group.

I’m sad, but I kinda understand why nerf it. I also run with a banner warrior, and I was constantly getting >1 minute of protection on each fight.

Mesmer portal change, what was the point?

Whatever they decide with Mesmer Portal, all I want is to make Portal Entre last as long as it’s cooldown.

Prior to the nerf, if you don’t open the second portal before the first one expires, then the skill would have already completely cooled down.

But after the nerf, if you don’t open the second portal before the first one expires, there’s still a 30 cooldown remaining (12 if traited for shorter cd).

It was nice when we could just always have the first portal open, and be ready to drop the second one anytime, and simply recast the first portal if it expired before using the second one. That was a good insurance for jumping puzzles and the like. But now, if we do that, we run the risk of our portal expiring and still having some cooldown remaining.

Phantasm Haste still bugged

Why are we even still fighting over the wording of this? We already have a nice precedent that is the Phantasmal Haste on iWarden before it was nerfed. Back then, what it clearly did was shorten the downtime between iWarden’s attacks.

In any case, I just did a quick test in Mists against dummies using a stop watch with lap timer function:

Phantasm – time without trait —> time with trait
iBerserker – 7 seconds goes down to 6 seconds.
iWarlock – 7 seconds goes down to 6 seconds.
iDuelist – 7.5 seconds goes down to 6.6 seconds.
iSwordsman – 4.5 seconds stays at 4.5 seconds.
iWarden – 14 seconds down to 12 seconds.
iMage – 7.7 seconds down to 6.5 seconds
iDisenchanter – 4.5 seconds stays at 4.5 seconds.

I may be off by about 0.2 seconds.

I don’t feel like testing the underwater ones since I don’t really care about underwater combat.

I’m having the same problem as well. My download speed is fluctuating between 0.00 – 15.00 kb/sec. I’ve been stuck at 75% for the past half hour.

And it seems that one of my guildies is having the same issue as well.

Mesmer keeps porting under the map

Aside from Blinking out, my other band aid solution was to keep Portal Entre open at all times, and have Portal also binded to my underwater skills. At least for those areas that I KNOW are prone to this bug (such as AC explore kiting around spike traps part).

We can’t really tell whether the rune set is working for you or not because we have no idea what your stats are.

Anyways, all I know is it’s showing 12/6 because you’re using PvP Superior Runes of the Eagle. So, try taking off your PvP gear (or switching your PvP runes) and see if that fixes it.

Caudecus Manor, Explorable. Found it a bit hard.

Just tried Seraph path, and my first time on CM explore. How are you supposed to blow up the gate? Mobs respawn too fast and on top of trying to keep them under control, they go and remove kegs from the gate. Furthest my group got was 4/5 (even though I swear there were times where we had even 6 kegs by the gate). We ended up quitting after over 30 minutes of playing capture the keg with the bandits.
