I didn’t know they had corporate Paypal. Guess so.
As far as fractals go, there’s never been any official statement as far as I know, but basically yeah the devs will replace old fractals with new ones when they release more.
“It has never been “confirmed”. That is just something players spout when they don’t feel like they’re getting enough attention.”
I’m a really hardcore player but I never bought the expansion and find paying 50$ for thousands of game hours played to be too much.
Sure………you really sound like a dedicated player.
Do you realize how bored and cliche these types of “I quit posts” are? Oh this is your first mmo so you think it’s new.
Ad hominem, strawman, and hypbole all in one post. Gratz.
Since all the fanboys and fangirls decided to derail your original question:
The “Manifesto” was a marketing strategy.
You bought the game because of what it said.
You purchased the game.
End of story.
These days I log in, get the daily free log in reward, log out. I’d say a solid 1.
Take a screenshot of the email you received when you bought HOT that listed the order number, the serial key, the method of payment, etc., and send it in your reply.
That is all they are asking for.
I don’t think they are available directly. So, either jump through the hoops or eat the cost.
Not trying to be rude to you, just factual.
Good luck.
I think CD673141 is right as I see those on the Hero page, but it says I need HOT to access, so that makes sense.
I don’t have HOT yet but am thinking of buying it.
But, what I don’t understand is HP’s.
What is the difference between HP’s, Tomes of Knowledge, Spirit Shards, etc?
I noticed for my main character it said something like 29 HP’s, which to me is arbitrary as I can’t figure out where that number comes from.
Then there’s the Gold medal for characters, and a reddish one.
Any clarification available?
Good Luck.

“… but we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it…” ~ Nancy Peloski.
“the bill”, Prepurchase.
Meh, details.
i’m not going to sit here and advocate gw2 as a grind-free game, but to label it grindy? did you just start playing mmos this year? gw2 is a vacation on a beach compared to silkroad
And the other reply from someone saying that this player has zero idea of what grind is:
Did anyone even bother to LOOK in this player’s wallet?
I think this is the coolest thing I’ve ever read on the forums. This rp’er is awesome!
Ah Hah Hah!
Message Body length must be 15.
Can I have his stuff?
Salvage for mats and luck.
This will soon be our chance to grab those finishers indirectly through black lion chests.
Hahaha, watch and see!
Thread Necromancy: It’s an elite specialization now.
Btw, Guild wars 2 has dropped to 9th since then (dropped 2 last month, actually).
Ahaha, the irony!
Speaking of irony, do any of you posters from a year ago still play the game?
Show your pride and sound off!
One per day would be fine, one per week is silly. Looks like I won’t be getting that extra character slot, and after other recent actions, debating if spending any money or upgrading is worth it. Anet just doesn’t seem to care anymore.
Yeah, this is just another mark on the “reasons to not buy HoT” list. Anet’s decision-making has been really bad lately, ranging from just plain stupid to blatantly anti-consumer. This one manages to get high up in both of those categories.
I’m having a severe case of buyer’s remorse about pre-purchasing HOT. According to these little bits in the HOT faq it looks like I’m screwed.
Between this:
“Is a pre-purchase the same as a pre-order?
No. The term “pre-order” can vary from seller to seller, but usually means that you’re just reserving an opportunity to purchase at a later date. In the case of the Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns pre-purchase, you’re paying for the game in advance of its release and receiving all of the other benefits of your purchase right away. For instance, if you pre-purchase the deluxe edition, you will pay the full purchase price and receive all of the pre-purchase and deluxe bonuses/items within 3-4 hours of redeeming the serial code. Then, when the expansion is released, you’ll get access to the new content.”And this:
“…Standard 30 day refund policy on game purchases…”
I’m doomed.
They can keep the free character slot, the beta weekends, and the “exclusive title” if I could get my money back.
I think I’m in the same boat as your are
Maybe not! After I wrote that I decided to try and opened a support ticket. I’m actually surprised, but I just got a refund.

My hopes are to not see anything I want so I can finally accumulate over 100 gold again.
Lol.
They don’t give a kitten about kitten. Dontcha think by now the 50 billion times they haven’t communicated they would have? No.
It’s obvious they aren’t making enough money. Period. And they do what they want to. Input not required.
I figured it out a long time ago that you either play the game they made for themselves, or you go somewhere else. I like it enough to stay.
For now.

Just made a different character in another slot. Same email, same taking away of title, CTTS title not selectable in the title menu, AP’s deducted as before.
So it appears to be with every new character made.
I logged into GW1 and ran around a bit, logged back out and logged into GW2. The title is back on the new character and I have a couple hundred more AP’s (what I had before I believe).
(edited by KhanKatir.4038)
Here.
Attached is proof of finishing the achievements for the title.
And as you can see… the title was removed and also the email I received stating such action.

I’ve thought about this as well. Not really sure why it was different than dry top, as in chest farming only available at a certain time. I could see it being available after vw and before timeout, maybe with extra time added between the two.
I don’t know if that would be feasible or not.
I’m not sure what your magic find is at, but if you’d like to increase it while getting around the “too many orders” dialoge, I tend to salvage everything but Exotics using a whatever salvage kit for greens and blues, and either a mystic salvage kit or a master’s salvage kit for rares (black lion salvage kits are the best but I ran out of them a long time ago). Then when I get a few runs I sell all those materials on the TP at once.
I can’t imagine the headache of trying to sell each piece of equipment one at a time.
That doesn’t address the main issue per se, but it’s how I deal with it so I thought I would pass it along.
Oh, and instead of clicking on those essence of lucks for eternity, you can use a lvl 0 artificer to combine them into much smaller, more easily manageable sizes to deal with, with no loss of luck.
Blessings.

This type of complaint occurrs on many MMOs.
Im quitting the game because of < Insert here whatever your complaint is > and Im sorry to go , and Im sorry to see the game die .
The inference is that the game will die because this one person is quitting.
I used to play WOW (unfortunately) for many years, and it was fun to count the number of " Im quitting the game "posts that occurred on the forums.
Even funnier, was the number of people (the same people) continually posting that they were quitting the game , and were still quitting the game 6 months on.
There seems to be some kind of beleif that Im quitting the game posts, will somehow force the game developers to alter the game design to suit the wishes of the poster. If you dont like the game , then just leave.
Theres no need to tell everyone why.
I completely disagree. For every person who posts personal complaints regarding the game like this in the forum, many others do just what you want and leave: Disgrunted, and with no hope for any change.
And you can guarantee that they will tell many more to stay away from the game.
What this kind of post is, is a customer service opportunity.
Do you see that large slice of pie? That’s you. You’re adding to the customer’s perception.

Anyone who provides excellent customer service understands that the players who complain loudly are actually doing the company a favor… It’s the customers (old AND new) that you never hear from and silently walk away that actually break the bank (which is known to anyone who provides excellent customer service).
Arena net wouldn’t have made such a stupid and divisive decision if there wasn’t already blood in the water.
Since they decided to do this anyway, they’re desperate. And they LOOK desperate.
When I started GW 1 it was about the only model that was out there that had some quality yet also had no subscription fees. Now? They are everywhere with more coming down the pipe every day.
Competition is fierce.
Enjoy the game while you can and have fun.
Definitely in poor taste.
I expected better from Anet.
Bobbleheads, yeah. GW1 antics, yeah. “Hey, I’m Malasia Air, or Germanwings, vroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom!”
No.
I don’t care how long it was planned, developers had a choice to implement or not in knowing current events. It was certainly the first thing to come to my mind after a few minutes of the prank.
That’s what tragedies tend to do.
Pretending the air tragedies didn’t happen, 15 minutes? Funny prank. Log out and log back in, same thing for an hour?
Grating and irritating.
