I must say it is sad to see all of my friends go from SoR, I had a lot of good times and met a lot of amazing people over the last 18 months. I stopped playing GW2 shortly after the new year, and I guess it’s for the best because the memories I have left are of the good times fighting alongside the Oceanic crew. I would follow Rai, Green Arrow, Nirmuu and Sarhill into battle any kitten day of the week. Gonna miss you guys, not just the leader in WvW, but the people of those guilds, hopefully our paths cross again in the future.

It was great running with you mate. I remember you as one of the OG Rallians along with Buton, Aurust, Alpaca Owl, Raes, etc fighting for the server when we had no Oceanic presence at all.

Both of you obviously have never fought with Fannwong in the Oceanic timezone before. Fannwong has been fighting with us during Oceanic/SEA prime time despite TW transferring to JQ for a week back in the days. He is also one of our prime commanders during the SEA/Oceanic timezone and has gone to great lengths to rally the sometimes beleaguered Rallians in a timezone that we are the weakest in.

I would suggest you get to know the man better before you judge him based on the guild that he is in.

PPT is srs business Nirmu, Merc can’t handle losing, that’s why they threaten to leave every server as soon as they start losing. I could go on to quote the essay Merc wrote to SOS before they left, but i’m sure there’s already one in the BG forums.

If you are really after some even numbered fights. how about getting into gvg and not floating with 70 ppl, o wait Merc don’t gvg it affects the precious PPT.

Besides the obvious, It’s 4k because the matchup is early in the week and it’s also 4k because it’s #1v#2v#3, not #1v#5v#10.

And no, you’re wrong. SoR has the best coverage because it’s the most stacked server. SoR is the only server we know that can leave a group of 45 people in a keep for a lenghty period of time and still be able to zerg with 60 people elsewhere. But I didn’t say this, I’m quoting another SoR person that said this last week. I think he mention it was the guild IRON.

Be nice if we all had this type of coverage.

We do not have that sort of coverage in Oceanic/SEA.

Personally, I don’t care what people think about me for crafting a legendary weapon.

I dunno if anyone mentioned this yet, but SOR only wins due to coverage and numbers, BG wins every single time the numbers are even….

SOR also tends to run ONLY in massive zergs while BG uses highly coordinated smaller groups. Of course when these small, highly coordinated BG groups run into the SOR hyper zerg they lose. But if the elite, super skilled, smaller BG groups fight even numbers, they always win the fight and force SOR to run inside their towers to hide behind Arrow carts.

We also walk in single file to hide our numbers.

Regeneration probably, considering that Torment does damage over time.

Havoc groups. You run in groups of 5-ish people and you just go around enemy borderlands flipping camps and doing small scale assaults on nodes to distract the enemy from the larger zerg.

With the smaller group, you’ll need to play to each of your group member’s strengths and do a lot more to cover their weaknesses. If you get discovered by an enemy zerg, you’ll need to do all you can to escape and if you get overrun, you’ll need to do all you can to survive the zerg, which can really test your creativity in trying to survive.

Think of being in havoc groups as having a Special Forces playstyle.

Personally, I think that gear in this game is quite balanced, PvE and PvP wise.

Why do you think WvWvWers are being treated like second class citizens? Ascended gear is available via WvWvW now and the weapons you get in WvWvW can be acquired in PvE.

Modern games like SWTOR and WoW that have separate gears for PvE and PvP is one of the reasons why they can never balance PvE and PvP in their games.
