Why no rewards for party members?

Personal Story Missions:

Just wondering why GW2 wouldn’t promote players to party up and enjoy the game together? Why not at least give a xp reward for the end of the mission?

Not ranting just wondering if there is a reason behind this or maybe its something in the works? Seems like it would be a super easy thing to add.

Maybe even an achievement for 1 character completing all the other personal story missions…

Ok so I got it to work but I did it the long slow way.
Basically I completely deleted the game and then started a clean install and then I started getting a whole new error… While it was installing all the past patches of the game 250k+ files it would stop every once in awhile and give the new error “Exception: c0000005”.
Determined to get it working every time it crashed I opened it back up and it would go a little slower it took me about a 24 hour period to get it to complete.

But now I can log in at least until the next patch lol.

Thanks for the response Foxx I have 8gb of ram.
I have tried all of the above and it still does the same thing.
Though I have noticed something that may help.
whenever the download for the patch reaches 34.xxmb the (kb/sec) slowly fall from like 600.0kb/sec to 0.0kb/sec and then… Boom goes the dynamite the error pops up.

Let's unite for a Mac OS X native client

Yes I would absolutely love a native client for Mac!!!
Wish the new patch would load without crashing.
Why isn’t this ever asked at the dev live casts? you would think it would at least be covered or asked about.
Mac is 100x better machine than pc and the OS is so much more fluid.
So many students etc use mac and so many more will be turning to mac.
I think having a native client for mac would greatly benefit Anet and the GW2 community.

Ok so I have had this before and the common trouble shooting fixed it.
This time its somehow different I have crawled this forum and done everything any admin has suggested to fix it including the main help thread “Basic Mac Beta Client Troubleshooting” but to no avail.

When I try and start the game ever since this latest patch for winters day I have had this problem.

Before this patch I have been playing and it has been working fine.

Here is the full error text I am getting.
“Fatal disk-error (31) on write
A serious error has occurred that prevented the application from continuing. A report has been sent to ArenaNet to help determine the cause.”

When I tried to do the terminal disk utility fix I got this.
“-bash: /applications/guildwars2.app/contents/MacOS/cider: No such file or directory”

Please fix this patch and help us mac users out thanks for any and all support.

A small non mist pvp area.

Here is another idea I had, a small pvp area in or around one of the main cities or in the myst lobby area.

The idea would be to have a small fenced off area with 2 entrances and as soon as you enter the inside of that fenced off area you become flagged for pvp and could fight anyone that entered the fenced in area.

They had something like this in Lineage 2 here is the best video I could find that kinda shows a birds eye view of the arena while players are pvping on how it worked the area was called Gludin Arena: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQeO4KnmgOk

Actual "Guild Wars" in Guild Wars 2

It would be awesome if you brought Guild Wars into the game where guilds pvp for a set amount of time in the pve world.
It would be awesome if it functioned similar to the clan wars in Lineage2.
Where you could declare war on another guild and if they accepted the war then for the next few days those clans are flagged for each other to be attackable by the other guild and a score is kept. Along with guild forts/castles similar to the ones in Lineage 2 where clans battled for them.
Maybe set it up so that a fort can only change owners once a week. and different ones give the residing guild a specific boon for pve.

Here is some info on how clan wars worked in Lineage2:
http://www.lineage2.com/en/game/the-library/clans/clan-wars.php

Here is info on the fort/castle battles:
http://www.lineage2.com/en/game/the-library/pvp-activities/fortress-sieges.php

Would anyone else be interested in something like this I think it would advance the game in a positive direction. I would love to hear other players and Devs thoughts on this.

Deleting items in Windowed mode

in Account & Technical Support

Posted by: Kilamanjaro.1830

Kilamanjaro.1830

This is a problem I ran into the other day. I had 7 keys and used 4 to unlock the black lion boxes.
I was running GW2 in windowed mode and went to check a website for something when I clicked back on the game window and proceeded to open my boxes and instead when I left clicked the box it asked if I wanted to delete it.
Because I was in a hurry and excited i clicked yes with out reading it then they disappeared…

I freaked out and realized that anything i clicked on in my inventory asked if i wanted to delete it.
In order to make it go away i had to click back on my desktop and them go back to the game again.

This is just a heads up and to bring it to someones attention if anyone is still fixing Mac bugs although this could be a cross platform issue I Suppose. Thanks
