Yes this appears to be the case, pretty short sighted.

I really thought this was a good change then I realized it was unintended. It is kind of silly that your reward for being a veteran in WvW is being able to quit the week early.

I made a post on this same subject on the Reddit thread on the new hammer. I really hope this is just an oversight and not intended as the draw affect would look really nice with the night form.

Wish I could toggle it always night looks so intimidating.

So SPVP has it’s llamas and I feel like WvW needs it’s own mini. I am suggesting being able to trade in a stack of Legendary Spikes for a legendary mini hedgehog or porcupine. Perhaps a spiked or armored Dolyak?

I would rather see 1 ticket option added to skirmish chests. This makes higher rank mean more than just getting your weekly chests over with faster.

This isn’t even getting into the Outmanned buff being the biggest key to getting through these Skirmish levels. This rewards a type of play unnatural and harmful to WvW.

The outmanned bonus is by far the best addition of the new reward system, it actually encourages players to break off in small groups and try to do kitten on their own. I’m astounded that anyone would actually be opposed to this.

You are very naive if you think this is how the buff is being used primarily.

Add an option for 1-2 skirmish reward tickets to the current skirmish reward chests would be a good middle ground. Veterans would get them a bit faster and grinders would have a way if they wanted to.

Tbh I’m mostly just happy about being able to use my predator rifle after they gutted rifle engi, but I can’t say I’m looking forward to this spec. The idea of rifle thief kinda bores me.

That said, Deceiver’s proposal was one of the more fully developed and balanced ideas put out there, so I’d have no problem with it becoming reality either. If someone enjoys it and it’s not horrendously OP/UP, it’s a win tbh.

Trust me, I really, really wish this were true. I’m at least glad the concept was appreciated.

I know so many people say they could manage professions/the game better, but having put my money where my mouth is, I genuinely think the game would be in a better state if I were able to say I was a dev for ANet, despite [being a game systems designer] being my dream.

The only thing we can do is hope the concept is similar. Just because it has a rifle and is named the Deadeye does not at all mean the concept will be the same or that it will be nay good whatsoever. My proposal was good on the mechanical and design levels, and wasn’t just determined by “rule of cool.” The notion of a sniper build path for the thief is terrifying when looking at the greater state of the game.

If they can’t recognize this I think the last amount of integrity the game’s combat system/balance has, especially for the thief, will be shredded.

I have both and will be using HMS Divinity as I enjoy the sound and feel of its firing animation better, also the projectile I think is better looking.

Some players will. I’ve given up on waiting for things to come on the gem store. if I want something that is for sale in a game, as a consumer I expect it to be available. Not on some time lock. I know ANet have them as the reason they do it is simple. really when you think about it.

If the items where there all the time, some people would just grind out the gold to gems. where as with ANet locking them up they can spring them on us, and if we don’t have the gold on hand, we have to spend money to get the items we want.

So yes they are doing it to make as much money as possible. They are a business after all, not our friends. the need money to keep the lights on and pay staff.

But I will say this. Anet will also lose money by doing what they are doing. If I have some cash to spend, I’m not going to keep it for months on end just incase that one item I want goes on sale. No I’ll spend it on something else. ANet has lost a lot of money off me by doing this. But I’m one guy, there can’t possible be more people out there like me………

Yes you are correct you are just one guy, one guy that has a hard time seeing things large scale. Unless someone can point out how GW2 changes basic human psychology to cause this tried and true tactic to not work this argument just seems like a healthy amount of confirmation bias with a side of tunnel vision.

We have never had a long period where everything was available, which may in fact be more profitable but untested by ANet.

You could also try condition PS on the warrior for a change. It is really nice in high level fractals to have a viable ranged spec, and the rotation is different enough to feel like something new might be worth checking out!

I noticed the infusion vendor can downscale +7-13 agony infusions as well as +17-22 agony infusions, is there a way to downscale values other than these? Thank you for any assistance!
