I agree very much, i really don’t care for throwing axes that bounce around. If anything, i think it would be cool if main hand axe was turned into throwing daggers, and the main hand axe was subsequently turned into a melee cleave weapon. A main hand melee axe would compliment the off hand axe very well i think. Likewise for the ranged main hand dagger.
Something I have wanted since beta has been a main hand dagger, I think they could do some cool things with the skill animations for it. Plus they could make it a little more standard then the sword’s movement based attacks. Maybe even make it more condition based.
I’m guessing were going to be getting those improvements in the big march update. This particular one was largely the implementation of the new achievement and guild bounty systems (with some bug fixes thrown in). Don’t get your britches in a bundle.
I can confirm, the auto attack chain for spear can no longer hit enemies. >.<
I’m not 100% sure about this, but i heard that legendary weapons are account bound, but there is a bug causes it to show as soulbound. Maybe we can an official response from a dev?
I realize now that many people are against this idea. Legendary Weapons are not meant to offer any advantage over a standard weapon. So perhaps instead of new skills, we should get more special animations. I know that many skills already have added effects. So hopefully we can get EVERY SINGLE skill an updated graphic that makes all the attacks look extra cool.

How would this work for say ranger? Would that mean i can shoot arrows out of my greatsword?
Just another idea, You could add an effect that would give say 10% chance on hit, to change your weapon skills to legendary weapon skills. Then you could use a certain number of charges like the Elementalist skills. However, I still like the idea of having a permanent new set of skills to use more.
Hmm, how about the option of both? If you want the legendary skills, just have the option of enabling it on the weapon (With a cooldown that matches your normal skill swap of course).
Legendary weapons are meant to feel epic. They take a lot of time and effort to make and as a result they SHOULD feel like you’ve made something amazing. As they are now, some are definitely cool, but some are also lacking. I feel as of right now, the pay-off isn’t quite worth all the effort that goes into making it. What could be done to spice up these weapons to make them truly unique?
Well i believe the answer already exists as the legendary weapons from the story arches. Not only do they have a unique appearance, but an awesome and unique set of skills. Weapons like Caladbolg, and the Windshear Axe really do feel epic. Yes, legendary weapons should have their own skill sets!
Now yes, the weapon skills would have to be made with balance in mind, especially with the fact that these weapons are usable in WvWvW. They don’t need to be more powerful then the standard weapon skills though, just different. As the saying goes “Variety is the spice of life” and this added variety could be just what these weapons need to be truly outstanding.
