I think a major source of frustration is that, we know there are awesome updates coming and we can’t wait for them to be released.
I would have to agree somewhat that it would be nice to have it right now, but it takes time. I rather have it working right then rush it.
Now I have a new goal, collect all the skins in the game.

I agree with most of your points Kismet.
But! As far as class balance goes, this game is not ready yet for real E-Sports. Doesn’t matter how much of a fanboy you are, you can’t deny this.
First off normally when someone refers to me as a “Fanboy” of anything, i’m quick to say no. Though the GW2 team has been winning me over. I’m not afraid to say i’ve grown to be a huge fan of their work & game. Not because I follow people blindly, but through their consistent actions and game improvements. The yard stick I use is: Are members having fun in game? The Answer = Yes.
I’ll have to differ to the experts on balance/E-Sports issue, its for sure not me. Its a touchy and nearly impossible task, from all the games i’ve played over the years. Would it be fun to watch WvW from other peoples perspective, like Epic Highlights of massive battles? Sign me up.

I know you don’t get these type of posts enough, so here you go!
I’d just like to say how much my Team and I appreciate all the Home Runs your hitting:
1) Account Wide Wallet = Awesome = Home Run!
2) Living Story Events = Ever Changing fun! (Thanks for all the hard work!)
3) Larger Crafting Storage option = Homerun
4) Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic, Infinite Tools, etc.. = Homerun
(I don’t mind paying some $$ to support the game, you guys are doing great!)
5) New Fractals = Fun! Love fractals!
(Though some of those newer ones should be lev 10+ Like the “Tron” one where the floor drops out, tough on newbie’s & Pug’s. The mechanics are a bit advanced for newer players, like ones being upscaled from lower levels.)
6) Upcoming Trait Change’s = Looks Cool!
7) WvW Seasons to motivate people to play WvW! LOVE IT! Can you say E-Sports? YES!
And the reason I was so motivated to come post, the new Wardrobe/Dye changes = Brilliant! bows with much respect
And I could just go on & on, but you get the idea.
GW2 is so my favorite game because you all are really making the right changes that make the game more & more fun!
Some other home runs we would like to request:
1) Guild Chat: Make what was typed in Guild Chat not disappear when I log out to another char and back in. Party chat stays, but not Guild chat for some reason. Minor I know, but I miss stuff people type to me and as the leader, that can be a bummer.
2) Guild Housing: The team and I want a home we can call our own. If it was me, I’d make those houses on the top of Divinity’s Reach purchasable via auction. Don’t instance it away, Make it in the Open world where people can just “Run Buy” and find & talk with new people. Instanced Housing always becomes ghost towns I find. Case in point = LOTRO Housing.
— Also this would be a super fun thing for the members to gather together wood, Ore, etc.. to make the house. Then stock it with stuff, crafting, etc. Motivates members! Please don’t make this out of reach of the small/medium guilds.
COMING! 3) Request from members: Old World Event Items like from the original Mad Kings Event, etc.. to make account bound, not soul bound to use on other char. Since some of them are unusable on the char they dropped to.
COMING! 4) Another member Request: Ascended Jewelries and Trinkets = Account Bound., allows people to try different builds or at least some Middle ground.
In closing, please pass on to the entire ArenaNet team our thanks & appreciation.

The chest can still be looted once per character. It is only the guarantee rare portion which is limited to once per account per boss. As for people helping others. Even with the limitation in place, there will still be plenty of people doing the events because not everyone plays at the same time or in the same time zone.
Many things can be treated as a daily in this game if that is the way you see it. Dungeon tokens refreshing at daily? fotm daily chest etc? I don’t do all of those things everyday ( I don’t have the time). Anet put that choice on us, whether we decide to spend our time doing a few daily dragon for their rares or doing a few dungeons or fotm for the tokens etc.
Yes i’m starting to see your point. So if the chest is looted on an alt does it have a chance on the 2nd time it is looted of rare/exotic/precursor or no? or Just greens? This is the question i’m getting. This needs to be spelled out in clear language by ArenaNet. Why can’t it just be the way it was! This is a dumb change.
Also this seems to me like to fix one bad decision, make another bad choice. Instead of just going, opps our mistake, we will change this back to how we had it.
On your last point, yeah what members I have left, that didn’t move on, have the choice of doing the same content over & over they’ve been doing for endless months. I’m on my 5th alt & don’t even play even half or quarter as much as they do. End game content is repetitive and its a struggle somedays just to get people to group up for the “Same old thing”. Will it be WvW, Dragons, Fractals, Influence/Gold Grinding or just do dailies for 30 minutes and log.
This is GW2 major downfall at the moment.
Solve this issue & we got something. It doesn’t have to be a complete new Expansion each time. Just something new & fun to do on top of these things. More things to do as a team, without unrealistic or high grind gates.

Again, the chest was made too rewarding to begin with thus everyone is farming them since they’re better than doing dungeons. That is why the account bound change is necessary

What wonders me is why now limit how many times people will help each other kill the dragon, because someone make a poor choice of giving an Automatic Rare? That was the first poor choice that caused the whole issue.
Now instead of my team helping members & people on the server all day long kill the dragon for a chance at a rare, they are gonna do it once, get a rare and then just not do it again until the next day like a daily. Yeah lets reduce even more high end content and chance for people to help each other!
How about you can only do one fractal a day? Maybe you can only do WvW for an hour per day or if you die in WvW it kicks you and you can’t play until the next day? Maybe for crafting we can only covert 10 Ingots a day? Now where getting to some brilliant ideas! (Sooooo.. not really). Again poor decision making, lets reduce what High end content we have even more! :P
Lets add more player frustration to the game! Yeah!
I see now that adding the Auto Rare was DUMB without thinking it through! Now I see the root cause. Sorry i’ve been out sick for few weeks and came back to this issue thats got members going about what’s causing the massive lag & in-ability to loot the dragon chests.
This now has the backlash of having too few people to finish these events, because everyone got their rare the night before and now during the day not enough around to help with event.
Repeal/Roll back those Dragon auto-drop changes. If people think they are only gonna get greens after the first drop, NO WAY are they gonna wait 30-45 minutes for it to spawn & then kill the dragon for 30+ minutes for that. Much less participation. I know I won’t be. 1 hour worth of work = 2 greens with no chance of rare? He gone….

Ding Found info for change:
“In the next release we will adjust the way that world mega bosses award their loot. The current chests will stay lootable once per day per character, but each boss’s guaranteed rare item drop will be moved to a separate chest (visually similar to daily achievement reward chests) that can only be acquired once per day across an account.
Our intention with this change is to keep providing rewarding loot for world mega bosses while avoiding overwhelming participation in boss fights (and overwhelming the economy with rares) from players cycling through each character slot for each boss every day."
Another poor decision! Penalize people for making alts & leveling them for endless hours to max level, because of lack of end game content. Brilliant. Just one poor choice after another lately.
Other poor choices.
- Adding content that majority of players can’t play aka High Gated Guild Achievements. (Everyone one of these show have a lower end version and should of been added at same time or first for smaller guilds.)
- Adding Living story elements that are hard to find & take hours of wondering time to finish. Not everyone wants to wander a huge zone for 4 hours looking for a super tiny item. Give more clues, detail along the way, make it a journey. Not a frustration.
- Adding Living story elements and then making it so you can only finish 2/5 like lost & found, making people spend endless wasted time trying to do them only to turn to google to find they can’t. Frustrating. It’s vague, doesn’t seem too well thought out from the players point of view.
- Adding content, yet people can’t play it on patch day, they have to wait a day, two, three… or months or maybe never because requirements are too high.

Set the requirements too high & make the game unfun = Loss of players/Revue.
- Penalize players for playing on alts, DUMB!
- Adding grindy & daunting/seemingly impossible requirements, people give up & leave.
You took out the things that frustrate players (node camping, Boss Camping, competition for quest mobs, etc…). Now your adding back in more frustrating elements, WHY? I don’t know who’s making the decisions, but this is how it always starts with the “Person who knows what customers want”, but turns out to not be looking at it from the players point of view. Players want something to do, not grind the same thing over & over.
If these people worked for me, I’d call in who ever has been making these calls for a meeting with the top execs ASAP! And if it was my calls as CEO that was ticking off players, i’d want to know & want some suggestions on how to fix it! Bashlash is building.
Please don’t turn into another LOTRO or SWTOR. Bad choices drove those great games right into the ground.
Sorry to be harsh, but sometimes its better to be straight with people you care about.

More testing on our server, Jormag 2nd time (gold) = no Chest, Shatterer 2nd time (Gold) = No chest. I didn’t try it on my alts.. just my main char.
I like the idea of getting rare each time, but the lag.com sucks. Can only imagine people on lower end systems, the inability to use skills & etc.
Don’t make boss drops account bound, STUPID! Let people do event on their alts, they earned it! Limiting that is just dumb and just makes people have less of a reason to make alts or play them. That should speak to ArenaNet that “hey look this guys got 5 max level char, maybe I should of given him more to do at high level vs grinding or making an alt. :P”
A better stance would be “Thanks for waiting for us to put some end game content in, here go ahead and do the event on your alt you spent all that time leveling. Don’t worry where gonna add some more end game content, someday….”
Make sure it’s for that server though, not people swapping Alts & Guesting servers at same time. Drags everyones server down & lags out the event. Or just go extreme and don’t let guests get chests from world boss’s, see if their is a sudden 50-75% drop off for guesting over next week. That might be extreme, but again.. don’t penalize people on the server because of people guest swapping.

Just tested this out.. Killed Tequatl for 2nd time today… No chest & also Massive lag with Overflow, some of my members got pushed into 2nd instance.
Did they already change this?
Guesting not the issue? Lets turn guesting off for everyone for a week and check.. :P
I have not seen lag & overflows like this since launch of game.

Hi all,
Been hearing of an issue with people guesting & causing overflows & the possibility of limiting Dragon chests to one a day.
I don’t mind limits to avoid people taking advantage of the system, but don’t penalize the normal player because of the activities of some.
I don’t guest, no need of it. I play only one server with my team. To limit me to only one dragon chest a day is obnoxiously short sighted. We have only a limited amount of stuff to do at the high end, DON’T limit it further.
What’s the solution? Limit people who guest on other servers to one chest per day per account on other servers, NOT everyone on the server! DUH! Don’t limit my teams high end gameplay.
Please make a good call on this one.
Limit Guesting, not people on their main server!

Hi all,
Was checking out the guild commendation rewards and was like.. Hmm.. might try this guild banner tonic, but checked it on the net first to see what it was. Apparently I turn into the guild banner and just stand in one spot, can’t move. :P Wha? Lame?
Next maybe a tonic of transform to rock? or Plant? maybe transform to brick wall?
Now what would be cool, transform to guild banner & give buffs or have members pick me up as banner & add buff to group.. now thats cool. Like the warrior banners. Have a skill where members throw me at the enemy and i explode.. even more fun. That would be funny at least.
So in review, Transform to non-movable banner = Lame, Transform into banner that members can pickup and swing me around & and plant on kills = a little cooler.

Ding – You got my vote.
I got commander for the ability for my members to find me on the map, since we can’t have a raid worth of players. No raids makes it hard for people to find each other & stay grouped. Especially underwater & more complex 3 dimensional locations.
Also if we can be scaled down to an area. Have Guild event’s Scale up to match no of players. This way we don’t have to exclude people. Such as in 5 person party and 6th & 7th person are “On the list” for next time. I really don’t like leaving people out. I’ll often leave group to add in a members so they can get things done. I just come back to it later.
I’d prefer to bring everyone’s who is interested and have the area scale up with “Reinforcements”. Give Large party size & based on No of people in instance = toughness of mobs & amount of mobs. Even on odd numbers like 9, 13, 23.
hmm. had a thought, also can just add an option to make all Guild members visible on map like WvW, where you can see other players that are close to your area by map (and mini-map) showing blue dot, with leader in another color maybe or with guild icon, shield like commander, or something of that nature. That would be a great feature.
Yes it is time, i was going to post this in suggestions however i think this point it should become a normal discussion in why its needed.
Now that guild events are part of the game we now have our first bit of content requiring …..well the guild. Any time you have events requiring larger #‘s of people you need an easy way to say “Hey, be on at inset time for X event” not like it wasn’t needed before but i would argue the need is growing now and becoming more important.
Which just rolls into the need for larger groups. This issues has existed already with WvW but once again now with larger sized events requiring more people, larger groups are needed to accommodate such events and work with their larger size to make coordinating much easier, especially if the guild puzzles will be as hard as they sound.
- So That brings me to:
—- GW2 – Team moved here we started with about 40 members, One of the best built games ever at launch, some small issues, but overall exceptional. Now my all time favorite MMO. As the leader you’ve made my job so easy
Examples:
1) Alts: Once a person is added to the guild. When they make an alt they just hit “Represent” and bam that alt is in the guild. Takes away endless hours of my officers & I adding alts.
2) Resource nodes: No more node stealling/fighting over nodes and all that drama it makes.
3) Events: can be done without being in group, enjoyable and great repeatablity.
4) etc… I can list a hundred more.. but you get the idea.
So what caused the bulk of my team members to stop playing? Frankly, lack of something to do. They played so much because the game is so fun, they got burned out. At lev 80, they have very little to do other then grind Dungeons, Fractals, WvW/pvp grind, that will sustain them only so long.
Then what I hoped would revitalize the the game with members; guild achievements. Yeah brilliant idea to rouse members back to game! Uh what, what the.. look at those requirements! WHOA! We can’t do anything together right now? Can’t believe it! I’m still stunned. A door of opportunity was open, poor gate choices killed it.
Months of waiting for content and we can’t do as team now? But we can do them Months from now, after grinding gold/influence, uh what? Nothing? really? Grind the same thing over & over we have been grinding for months? ugh! No not here in my favorite game! Also excludes a massive section of your player base who have small guilds.
So the simple point here is when you say your gonna add content to game, make sure there is something to do right now.
So in review:
1) When adding content: Have something to do ON patch day at all levels aka small guilds to large guilds.
2) Have clear communication with players and stick to what you say. Built trust. The feeling of indifference is number one reason for people to no longer play games or purchase from a company. At the start of game I really like your video about “Hey we read this on the forums & we added it!” What a brilliant way to show, hey we are listening & we care.
3) Also why patch mid week? So you can work the bugs out? Work them out on test server. Patch on Fridays, it draws more players to log in and play.
4) Don’t listen to people who tell you how to “Make a buck” in game. Turning your exceptional game into a player money & time leach will cause a mass exodus. People don’t mind paying for stuff in the store, but don’t throw it in their face every 2 seconds like LOTRO did.

Hi all & especially to Arenanet,
I really enjoy this game, in fact its now my favorite MMO of all time.
I find the mistakes of others are “Free” mistakes, because you can learn the lesson without feeling the pain of the mistake, if you choose. Or you can just make the mistake again and fall into the same trap. All comes down to making good choices.
I was reading another thread about “Core Issues with game” and it inspired me to start a thread on a collection of what causes people to leave/stop playing certain MMO’s.
I present some some game killing examples from my team over the last 11 years, hopefully GW2 can avoid:
—- Lineage (the original) – After years of heal potions being a certain way, they changed them to be on a longer cool down. Thus more deaths, thus more lost XP, thus getting 1% of XP that took about 8hrs if you didn’t die. Turned to about 40+hrs due to slow potions and more deaths. Small change to them, big change to the player. That was it for me & my team. No one really wanted to play anymore. BAM: lost 150+ players from us and thousands of others.
WOW – Great thing about this game is even those with older computer could play. At high end though was nothing but a grind. Did runs that lasted for 6-8-14 hours and players often got zero reward. Grind became elitist and unbearably boring.
LOTRO – Great game, Shire was excellently done. After Moria though, expansions came to halt. Then when they finally came out, felt like they where just a content patch verses an expansion. Then the death knoll, the LOTRO Store. With the endless, buy buy buy, at every turn in game, couldn’t escape it. Then, “this will not be buy to win”, week later, all the things my team & I worked on for months to achieve was purchasable in the store. BAM: Instant backlash with players and lost of trust, members moved on, and eventually so did I. 1000’s of players lost.
SWTOR – World building exceptional, Story so wonderfully done. Rushed to market, members felt like they where paying to beta test the game on release. Constant glitches/bugs, but we championed through it. Load times = insanely long. Tatooine would often take 6 minutes to load. Coming & going to say pvp in long loading zone, was a nightmare.
Changing zones was even worse, took 10-20 minutes to get everyone across the various zone stops to one spot. Then we could play. Missing tons of basic features like Ready check for raids, raid bugs and the terrible “Stun lock” in pvp. PVP goes like this… Start, run out, stun lock, dead, Wait in Rez for 15-30 seconds, rinse & repeat.. Spent more time in Rez then playing PVP.
Also terrible customer service, upon server merging we where unable to have our guild name. Contact CS, they said to just change it, I write them back I was unable. We where put in at the start with the game from guild launch website, guild name is important to members & myself. They sent me the exact same thing I sent them, meaning they didn’t even bother to read it!! They sent another canned response to just change it. Ugh… 100+ players quit from our team & Thousands/millions of players lost due to just poor choices, bad communication with players.
Such an amazing oversight, I’m still stunned from it.
Gate is too high with nothing for people to do right away.
People don’t like to be teased, in fact it really ticks them off (not me, i’m perty chill, more disappointed then anything else). This content is clearly for the top 10-25% of players.. leaving a massive group with still very little to do.
Arenanet: “Hey we have some cool stuff coming out… oh wait.. you can’t do it for 5, 10 to 20+ weeks from now… but we added it.”
People have very little to do now & have 4-5 chars at max while waiting for new content and then you all gated it too high! Now its just a Gold/Daily event grind until guilds can gather 60 gold+ or 30k/50k more influence. Thats no fun.
This could of been a home run if you put some things for all guilds to do at lower tiers levels as well as higher. Even minor things that helped guilds earn influence to reach higher levels.
Love your game, but not including a huge bulk of your player base was unwise & a huge let down. This was gonna be a call to my members to return to GW2, but now its a stall point again.
You all can still fix it though and I hope you all do, quickly.

First off, having a great time in GW2! You all are doing tons of things so right!

Logging in today I was so excited to have something fun to do with my team. Was getting them pumped up all week to log in and play. Stunned at the requirements.
We can’t do anything yet and we’ve opened the tiers on all the way to level 5 on most areas.
We had about 50 members start with us on GW2 (Brought them over from SWTOR). Unlocked a ton of tiers. Over time though people ran out of things to do, went off to do other things, waiting for something fun to do together in GW2.
Was gonna do a video on the new guild achievements to bring some members back. But there is nothing to do, because it is gated so high.
You should put something fun to do in, RIGHT NOW! At all tiers. Not 30-60-100k influence from now! Thats weeks/months from now before we can do the content!! I can only imagine smaller guilds utter disappointment at the gate levels.
Don’t get me wrong I love the idea of high end achievements and GW2 is fun game, but sometimes smart people do terribly wrong things and this is one of those times.
Also I know you all are also great listeners, another reason I don’t mind dropping some real cash in the store to contribute to the game & keep it rolling.
If you take only one bit of advice from a someone’s who’s founded and been running a guild for 11 years, add stuff at all levels, not just at the top gate.
Please, on behalf of my members and myself fix this ASAP.

Our Top suggestions (Part 2):
6) Mounts
- Yes I know we have waypoints and they are such a boon to the enjoyment of the game (though they do need to be reduced in cost, high burden). But there is one simple fact in every game, people love to have mounts. I personally like mounts/companions that level & grow in power as you do. A mount is more like friend that goes on a journey with you.
7) Fixing some animations
Like hasted bow looks like your holding it from your hip. Asura just stands and twitches on thief with short bow.
8) Count down on Monthly:
- such as “You have 36 hours left” on your monthly before it resets. Put this in the monthly tab. This is a source of confusion as in the US you reset actually the day before the start of a new month.
Think i’ll wrap it up on those points with one final note:
1) Content addition & story arcs.
- When you add content such as the Living Story, Events, Etc to game, make sure its starts on the day you patch it. Why? Because people are running around looking for the new content only to be disappointed it won’t be around until the next day. Gives negative response from members (-1000 Happy Player points)
- Give better direction as to where to go to start event. Add quest that shows on Map & leads you to the starting point. No one likes to wonder around for an hour & then end up googling/asking on Global about it.
- Event/Story Arc must build momentum for the player. Such as our members ran out did the living story achievement 75 acts of assistance.. first day.. Now what? I keep looking each day.. nothing. (another -1000 Happy Player points)
- New Content excitement will diminish the longer between “something to do”
What would be better?
- Content is available on Patch day as thats why people log in and are ready to go “Check out the new stuff”
- Quest pops up from email, much like Dungeons with location(s) of start of event.
- Story arcs that build day after day that could even be tied into daily achievements or even “Story Achievements Quest”.
- When adding things to game, like waypoints, Items, etc. A letter/ in-game news of where to explore/look to find new stuff.
Again, thanks for your excellent work on this game & here’s hoping for more home runs in the future.

Hiya all,
As always i’d like to start with how much my team & I enjoy this game. You are doing so many things right on so many levels. Thank you so much for your hard work.
My members and I would like to put forth a few more potential home runs.
Our Top suggestions (Part 1):
1) Preview the look of items in AH:
- At max level I find most members are more concerned with what they look like then stats. This would be a massive boon to game enjoyment. I hear this from members nearly every day. They can go into AH & go “I want those Pants”, “I like the look at that shield” ..etc..
2) End game:
- Fractals, WvW, Dungeons & killing dragons are fun, but members are stalling out, game momentum is slowing. They need something unique to do at high levels.
a) Raid level end game with unique reasons to do these.
- Large scale battles like WvW but with big groups lead by commanders. Should be able to have as many people in group as we can bring. 8/12/16/24/etc.. Create an Auto Scale for Mobs, based on number of people you bring aka a “enemies response”. So if we bring say 9 people (yes i chose odd number on purpose) it scales. This has been done in other games, this way we are not excluding that 9th person from having fun with the guild. It sucks to be the “odd man out” who has to wait for “next time” to join.
—-> Create a unique system that allows for inclusion of odd numbers of players like you do in WvW, but on raid or even server scale. Such as recovering a zone of the world/castle/ each week for a bonus. Can even weave it into the living story.
b) Given a Quest to gain achievements:
- As we finish the guild achievements it unlocks unique more items in the Guild Upgrades. I know we are doing this through influence, but look at some upgrades like “Research politics lev 5”, there is no point in it as their is nothing to get after. I suggest to take a good look at that one.
d) Guild quests & Homes/halls!
(yeah i know you mentioned this but, More Votes this way)
- Our entire guild wants more things to do together
- Have us collect wood & get stone & get silk to make our Guild Castle & the banner that flys over it. Have our crafters work together to build our Guild Hall & the items that go in the Hall. Shared achievement is what guilds are about.
- Such as the ability to change the color of guild themed items, like shields, weps etc..
e) Server achievement:
- Make end game server wide, Work together toward a common goal. Much like WvW, but in a PVE/game enjoyment sense. aka Server Achievements. Like won 10 Rounds of WvW, 1000 Boss’s Killed, 1000 Fractals run, you get the idea.
- On battle field/achievement for people could get a “Ehmry Bay” tabard to show server pride kinda thing.
(side note:) Fix drops for Veterans & Champs. We kill these and such a let down, when they drop nothing or 2 bits of vendor trash.
3) Larger selection of items in Store:
- Cosmetic/ etc to add to ones uniqueness. I’m not sure why a massive amount of items have not been added to the Cometic end of the store. We really enjoy this game and don’t mind dropping some $ to support it & to create a unique style of char. Maybe have a in game Armor set design contest? Also their are many NPC outfits that people wish they could have. Good place to start there.
- Also on this note more Theme based sets, such as “Royal” My main char is the leader & often the Royal. I’d prefer more embellished looks, when not in my armor more dressed up appearance for meetings & events with the group. Think Weddings, Royal, Pirate, Chancellor, Cloaked/Mystery figure, showgun armor …etc. Also a way to stand apart like for commanders have option for “Commander Armor Set” etc… Unique looks through achievement.
4) Armor/ Trait Set swapping:
- Create sets for armor such as “healing Set”, “Tank Set”, “Ranged set”. For quick swapping between gear. You just go to your bank, and it swaps the gear.
There was an add-on for this in a game that shall not be named. At high levels people are building sets for different reasons. Same thing with Traits. Add a function to “Save Armor set” & Save Trait set. I can’t tell you how much I loved that function in the “other” game.
5) Dueling
- This gives members the ability to practice builds & practice for PvP & WvW. Make sure their is an option to “ignore Dueling requests” for those who don’t want to.
- To make this even more fun make it an Guild achievement, the guild battlegrounds or even a server achievement, everyone pitch in to build a training area to practice.

Hi all,
Went out for some fun in WvW tonight with my team. Even though we are way outnumbered (usually 30-50 vs 10-20) still fun to get in there and do the best ya can….
then….
Bot group shows up.. I was like wha? About 15-20 characters all botted up. They moved like botts and really drained all the fun out of WvW. I thought this bot problem had been fixed.
First time i’ve seen this in WvW, anyone seen this issue? Should be a way to report this and have a GM check it right away. This is the type of thing you don’t wait a week to fix as it affects the whole servers score. Its a PVP fun kill joy.

Thanks for those who could empathize.
And to those who thought it was a last minute thing, not procrastination, just organizing some fun on a Friday night with my team. If i had known I would of organized it earlier or realized I didn’t have enough time and abandoned it.
Sadly don’t have as much time as I would like to play, wife, kids, job and all of that, this is what put me so late in the month on this.
I really do like the idea about putting a time on the Daily & Monthly reset. In how many hours you have left to finish it like a count down. Big props to Lysico.4906 & others to thinking of an improvement.
i.e. “you have 5 hours before monthly reset”
I find it best to take break when frustrated so thats what i did. Now i’ll go back to my other goals in game & ignore monthly achievements.
Also to Amos.8760 thanks for the laugh. “Guys, the solution is easy. Just keep flying west through time zones until you reach yesterday. Then log in real quick and finish your daily.”

Hi all,
Was having a good time, having lots of fun in game. Thought for once i’d get my monthly done. Been working on it on/off all month. Grinding WvW kills, fractals.. etc.. hours & hours of grinding.
Thought i’d get it done today, Friday 11/30. Was getting a group together to finish a few more cave runs. Checked my monthly earlier today, just needed 2 more.
Got back on tonight to run some cave runs with my team, got group together and checked my Monthly… reset..
Why would you reset the monthly on the 30th? It would make more sense to reset it on the 1st.
To say the least i’m so beyond ticked off to waste all that time grinding and now it just makes me want to log off and not play.
Please reconsider NOT resetting on the last day of the month, instead the first day of the next month!
Anyone else have this have this happen to them?
Taking rest of night off, thats just such a disappointment.

Thanks for putting up this forum for suggestions, always a great way to connect to the community.
First, top rate game. Now my favorite game of the hundreds of game i’ve played across 30 years. Everything so well done & your communication with the community is what really sets you apart. Great work!
I founded our guild 10 years ago with hundreds of members across multiple games. The team is loving GW2.
But, (there always is) members are starting to get a bit irritated by botting & have some other ideas. As the Leader this concerns me, so i’ve collected some suggestions for you all to make the game better.
Move to highest priority
——> 1) Botting – Raises the toughness of event’s and everything around the area, frustrating members. Since bots are not helping with events, you have to solo a much tougher area.
Suggestions on botting:
a) Give us some method for area bot report (reporting one by one takes a ton of players time)
b) If you find 3 rangers within close range and naked with broken gear & doing the same thing = bots
c) Look at char’s who have all their armor broken & multi char in same area & track them for say 10 minutes to see if they repair or path through same zone.
d) Bots are normally under same user account, how can one user name have multi-char of same account, logged in? So search for if same person, of same account is logged in = Botting. Same with chars in PVE zone with no armor track em.
e) Maybe a challenge response for broken armor after so many minutes. Like “type the following”.
f) Get bots removed quicker. If a members sees the same group of bots a week later after they took the time to report them, they get the feeling its not being taken care of. I know you guys are slammed, but just passing on how they feel.
> 2) Black Lion Trading Company / More Town clothes
a) Preview Items/weps/armor on Trading Company (this is rated as no 1 wanted addition)
b) Sort by Armor type – Light/Medium/Heavy – create drop down for Armor
c) One stop shop for getting cosmetic items with more of them.
d) Offer outfits of NPC’s for guild events, like Ball dresses & armor cosmetics…etc…
e) Cosmetic item drops after lev 80, increases interest. After 80, we area are more interested in what something looks like, then its stats.
f) Sort/search by Stats bonus
g) More variety in Med Armor (mostly cowboy or pirate now)
> 3) Karma/item Rewards bump/smarter rewards
a) Smarter rewards – when you complete a map the items should be class specific. Often you get light when you need heavy & heavy when you need light.
b) More rewards for opening up an area via Karma or recipes.
