Can a developer please confirm that Conjurer (former Fire’s Embrace) no longer grants fire aura on signet use?
Removing white swords from objectives to give defenders a stronger role in alerting their team as well as giving attackers more of a chance to get through having their siege disabled.
This would be a mistake.
Sounds like a perfect opportunity to make Guild Claiming more useful.
Add notifications to the guild that has the location claimed.
This adds value to guild claiming and puts in a place a way to mitigate the problem of lower population servers not having enough people to scout.
All for what seems to me would be a very minimal development cost.
Hold people’s spots for a few minutes (up for debate on how long) after disconnect!
Listen there are all kinds of issues popping up with overflow system and open world bosses. I’m not sure how to fix all of them, but you have to do at least this!
One random disconnect (or is it) totally screws people. WvW queues are the same way.
Honestly these rewards are 100% pathetic.
Lets have a Collaborative Development discussion about appropriate rewards for the amount of effort involved.
Did anyone in the entire company even put one second of thought into these rewards? If so please enlighten us to how you came to the conclusion that this was appropriate for a 7 week reward?
So depending on how this works… Possible 3 Endure Pains? 1 that heals too?
WVW needs a Darkness Falls. That is all.
But why?
For something to actually fight for? Other then some point tally that basically means nothing. Especially when one side totally dominates and by Monday the match is pretty much decided.
A reason to defend and hold points?
More of a reason to split apart and to take and hold multiple points?
It doesn’t have to be Darkness Falls exactly, but a “mechanic” needs to be introduced to the stale state of WvW. I’m not saying it isn’t fun it can be, but I think it could be a whole lot more than one blob fighting the other spamming 1.

I appreciate the response. I honestly didn’t think you would take the time to answer all of those.
I think the WvW community is just frustrated at the pace that it has been updated versus the rest of the game.
Devon, we should say bye bye to you, cause in 11 months nothing has changed.
When I’ve been working on WvW for 11 months, then we’ll talk. I’ve been here for 5, so I still have 6 more before you boot me for someone else. Also, the orb mechanic is coming back.

A few questions/suggestions hopefully you can chime in on.
1. Any news/updates on making winning the match up more rewarding? There is very little fanfare or even acknowledgement that your server won. The passives are ok I guess, but at the end of the day it just feels hollow.
2. WvW Abilities – All in all I have to admit, they are just boring. Passives blah, some of the siege abilities are ok. I know you have to be careful with balance… but I would really like to see more creativity here.
3. Any chance of getting WvW Rank locked unique skins? Maybe an Aura around you? Something/anything unique to WvW to show off??? ( Same for SPVP, but thats a different topic)
4. Guild Claiming really needs to mean more. Defending in general needs to mean more.
5. I honestly think with the modest size of your maps and how many people are crammed into them. The waypoints upgrades should be removed.
6. Commander System – That is all the needs to be said.
7. How about DAOC style killspam? Just throwing that out there. I know a lot of people that loved it. At the end of the day we all want to be the hero!
Ok this is turning into a wall of text so I’ll stop here.
So it has been a while now since our recent buffs/changes.
It doesn’t seem like anything really has changed at all regarding the Warrior’s problems in certain areas, but I’m curious what the Warrior community thinks.
Dogged March – Its just ok/meh. Is the 10s cooldown on the regen part really necessary (lets go with 5s)?
Signets – Passive increase of course is a buff, but the actives are still lackluster.
Boon Hate – Laughable to me
Combined Adrenal Traits – Better.. but at the end of the day does it really change anything? How about making the burst abilities actually worth using over hording it.
Call to Arms – Actually probably the most meaningful change.
imo of course… there are more important things to be worked on for WvW then adding gear… like.. broken mechanics and the state of the WvW atm.. just my opinion though
I agree, but seriously this shouldn’t take more than an hour to do. Hell it is probably more like a 10 second copy and paste. The only hard part is figuring out how much they should cost badge wise.
Hell just make laurels you can buy with badges? Seems simple enough to me……

Other than figuring out how much for each piece….. how hard could this possibly be?
I commend your effort at the new build, but I’m not so sure this one is going to work out well for pvp.
Very limited condition removal (mending) , no mobile strikes, no stun breaks, and no stability. That usually does not equal success in PvP.
That does sound like a lot of fun, but I would prefer another Super Elixir.
on elixir gun this:
1. swap Elixir gun and glue
2. hit #4 and drop an acid bomb
3. start your shooting on the enemy getting hurt by the acid bomb.
This is a smart change, for a build using only EG it’s actually a usefull thing.
Super Elixir skill:
Increased both impact base healing and scaling with healing power by 100%.
Increased base heal multiplier by 50% and healing power scaling by 100%.
Looks exactly the same to me. They forget to actually buff it? Tooltip not updated?

I messed around with a build very similar to this a while ago, but could never get it quite right. (20 into tactics instead of 30 into Discipline, along with different runes)
I’m not a huge fan of copying someone’s build, but I had to try this because I also love the play style of Hammer. Also I have come to respect Defektive’s thoughts on everything Warrior.
All I have to say is that this build really works well, even more so than it probably should on paper. "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts ", really seems to apply here.
This is also a great “core” build, meaning there is room to tweak personal preferences around it.
Prop’s Defektive( and Schwahrheit), fantastic job.
He mentioned orange swords. I believe the white swords will still show.
Props to the OP for providing an entertaining post and video.
Off-topic rant:
What is starting to annoy me however is every one of these warrior vids I see is a glass cannon spec, and succeeding in fights. Surviving somehow because absolutely every opponent seems to have no combat abilities on their hotbars or the ability to target the warriors. Yet every time I get in a fight in SPvP or WvW it’s a constant uphill battle of focused target condi + burst dumps on my warrior and 3-7 people focus firing and support stomping which leads to an average uptime of maybe 10 seconds while having to gear and spec defensively or else the focus fire drops the war in 4 seconds (3 for endure pain and 1 to take 40k damage from a coordinated group).Seriously, what servers do all these players exist on where 28 run from a whirling warrior and are unable to even all press 1 on him at the same time in order to deal 30k damage and drop him in 1 second?

Couldn’t have said it better myself.
I did some searching and was unable to find a definitive answer on whether or not Unsuspecting Foe works on knockdowns.
Some say yes, others say it only works on stuns.
Perhaps a Dev could make a quick comment?
Has anyone tested?
Perhaps they have more up their sleeves here.
What if the rewards for killing the Breakout NPC Commander were really good?
I think that really adds a lot with perhaps a few pitfalls.
Holding judgement until more information is available.
Stat increase is a big slap in the face.
If its some type of gate system for the dungeon, at this time I think I am ok with that.
I honestly believe this is the biggest issue the game currently has. We really need some more communication on what and when we can expect some fixes for the queue. Unfortunately I’m seeing guild members losing interest in the game because of it, which in turn usually leads to the snowball effect.
