Personal preference. I love my rifle, don’t really care for the bow. Rifle does more damage than bow and is better for Bosses imo

Bow offers might stacking via fire combo fields and aoe lazy-tags in zergs an wvw in return for being quite lame and rather lack-luster in prolonged single-target fights

dude it all comes down to the situation
in pve bow may be better for most situations… but not all there too…
and in wvw rifle warrior can be really fun^^

How does a warrior with a staff make any less sense than a Ranger with a greatsword, or a Guardian with a scepter, or an Elementalist with 2 daggers…

That would be the general idea, yes. If you are going to give an example of something that doesn’t make sense there are more weapons that classes already have that don’t make sense rather than ones they should have that would make sense.

I wasn’t aware d/d was a “magic” combination. Seems like they would be used for…well…stabbing.

never played dark souls? or terraria? or any of the 100’s of games that use magic daggers? and you could say the same for the staff.. think it’s be used for fire wood

I agree with Lepton. get your 77 clovers. then get 250 obsidian shards. then after you get those 2 done and out of the way you can continue to do the 10 mystic clover recipe to get most of your mats. that’s what i did and how i got my legendary in a month. now working on my 2nd. A good way to get karma is Fractals 10 levels below your personal level. you will need 200 skill points for your bloodstone shard, a good way to get SP is by doing the champ train in frostgorge, you can get scrolls of knowledge from the champ boxes along with mats and lodestones which is also needed. Work on getting your pre cursor last. get everything you need and make the gifts first.

The recipes are junk atm. grenth is like 1g and dwayna is around 8g. but i estimate they cost over 100g to make anyway.

grenth is at 2 gold 20s currently. was 3 1/2 last night. dwayna is 7 gold, was 15 last week. they will go up. and they cost around 200 gold to make. and i got a princess doll recipe from them which is currently at 6 gold

it costs 7 gold 20 silver for 12 hours of your star cakes. the primer is 150 gems which currently is around 14 gold to convert to 150 gems. not worth it

you have a chance to get the light of dwayna and shadow of grenth back recipe’s, the unbreakable choir bell, mini ho ho tron and the endless toy tonic. i have opened 15K giant gifts and got 13 light of dwanya’s, 23 shadow of grenth’s, 1 unbreakable choir bell and 1 endless toy tonic. along with 2,700 pristine snowflakes and other crap.

So the ~300 gold’s worth of gifts netted you ~250 gold’s worth of rewards.

I had a similar experience, although on a smaller scale. Looked at the price of the mini and decided to buy 40 gold’s worth of gifts. Got the Dwayna recipe and another 20 gold’s worth of mats of which I sold half and kept half. Overall loss, like almost everyone reporting in this thread.

250 gold now yes… but not too long from now those recipes will go way up in price. dwayna was 15 gold last week and grenth was 7 gold. just like everything after it goes away it will go up in price. so my 250 gold could be 500 gold a few months from now.

While they did threaten that they’d release more content like Tequatl, I really wish they’d scale back their expectations for these encounters. It’s impossible to do Tequatl without an overly coordinated group using teamspeak with nearly an entire zone of players doing the event. While they may be easy, they should aim for a much lower point for player participation or these things will be ghost towns on 99% of servers just like Tequatl is now.

TEQ is pretty easy to do. and trust me… teq is not dead, there are guilds(TTS) dedicated to teq, BG does teq pretty much every time he spawns. i do teq around 2-3 times a day

Developer time = money, so technically it does have a cost associated with it. Since they are paying the dev that will have to go dig through to find the confirmation, and then perform whatever needs to be done in order to restore you account or send you replacement items.

It’s not like flipping a switch. Digging through logs is not as easy as it sounds. Especially since they most likely have to look through the log for the day, time, server, etc that you made this mistake. Such logs are going to contain more than just your data, a couple thousands of lines to look through. While grepping can narrow the search for them, it’s still not going to just pluck the single log line they may need in a ‘whalla’ moment.

They are business, that should be pretty self explanatory. I mean really.

This really isn’t any different than say… going to an electronics store and buying a tablet. If you don’t buy the additional warantee that covers ‘accidental damage’ and you drop it, which shatters the screen, the company isn’t going to just replace it for you. But, they had no issue taking your money. They’ll offer to repair it (for a fee), but you may have to wait for them to ship it out or order parts in, or you can buy a new one, but if they don’t have it in stock, then you have to wait until it comes in.

Essentially here, the tools you desire to replace are out of stock. You can buy them again when they ‘get more in.’

Anet already stated they will not be releasing an Expansion for GW2

I understand, i made a mistake and i feel like an idiot. but is it really all that hard for them to check and see if i really had them? is it gonna cost them anything to give me them back? no. I am a loyal paying customer and they need to realize that. Take a quick look at my logs and see that i actually did have them, type in a few codes or whatever and send me them back… happy customer.

i used it alot, i understand that it is my fault but it was an accident. i am incredibly disappointed with anet about this.

people i know and about 40 people i somewhat know. They should at least put them back in the store so they can take more of my money

So i created a new character. i put all my gathering tools on my new character. i decided i didn’t want the race i chose so i deleted the character but forgot i had all 3 of my gathering tools on him. Players in GW2 told me it was a common thing and anet is great with that kind of thing in helping them get their stuff back. i contacted anet and they pretty much said NO.. they said they cannot replace items and i was shi* out of luck. I paid real money to get those gathering tools and i feel they should help me out. Am i in the wrong here or should they give me my tools back?

it took me around 400-500 tries. but when i finally got Dawn was literally the day i was quitting the game. figured id spend all my money in the forge. spent 40 gold on exotics(cheap at the time) and pulled 2 dawns within 5 min. was awesome!. quit the game and came back 4 months later. played for the whole day and spent 9 gold on rares and got another dawn. since then i have spent 300+ gold on rares to get nothing… my luck has ran out :/

pauldrons and guantlets are different but those are the arrah leggins

same here. 12 errors in 7 min. load in and get an error that the game client lost connection

over 750 hours since i had the game which was Jan 30th. Had exactly 5 keys drop from random mobs. guess i just got lucky?

have had 2. played since late JAN. sold em immediately as the abyss dye really isn’t that good looking. midnight ice dye is 1000X better imo. i have gotten 7 of those
