1: Rangers
There is a lot to be said. The ranger is my main, always has been, always will be. Regardless of nerfs or buffs i simply love the concept of it. However, if you want to know the faults that the ranger is burdened with, you can simply look in the ranger forums. A day worth of posts there sums up 18 months of problems.2: Thief
Their DPS is fine, their sustain is not. Strip away their stealth and they are sitting ducks. They can only evade so many times, and if professions with high sustained DPS such as Rangers, Warriors and Elementalists want them dead, they will die.
Thief simply lack build variety and sustain outside of stealth. Their greatest asset is their biggest hindrance. Rebalancing thieves with higher hitpoints and better healing/healing efficiency on existing skills in addition to reducing stealth (overall for all professions) will be the way to go.3: Engineers
This applies to power builds for the most part. Grenade setups will as of today, instantly kill the user if they chuck them into a zerg. Simply because the grenades does abysmally poor damage with power setups compared to the damage of retaliation.
This^ I like this. Also, Condi necros need a slight nerf while their power specs need some love.

I would say Thief #1 but Rangers seriously need help… all they can do is play 1v1 builds and have really no place in group comps other than backline longbow spam 1. An all around rework is really what they need.
Engineers and Necros need some rework so that power builds are viable. To many condi builds, becoming a one trick pony. (its like oh… a necro/engi… condis)
As many QQers as there are… I have to agree that thief is becoming a bit of a one-style gameplay class. I main thief, and as of now… being a “1 hit wonder” super glass d/d is about the only thing left. The backstab skill is WAY overabused and needs a damage fix. (And its only abused because of the trait allowing for 100% crit out of stealth. While I don’t think this is a bad trait and doing to much to it could really put thieves in a bad place, consider some traits in Shadow Arts and Acrobatics that encourage playstyles that don’t completely revolve around being always stealthed.) DONT change the revealed debuff. That was a terrible choice the last time and its definitely not the route to try again. PLEASE DONT KILL THIS CLASS THOUGH! s/d is somewhat playable after the last “balance” patch, but id love to see it reverted to its previous glory.
Since this is a topic for what needs help… please take a look at the condition damage (nerf) its a little out of hand… only double so since everyone is turning into a condi “something” class.
The very idea that the Sword/Dagger combo was OP is a complete oversite on the skill needed to run the build in the first place. The cast time on the return has made it completely unusable in WvW and has stripped the sword as being a mobile weapon set for thieves. Its not like the sword return broke the stun… It just gave thieves the ability to not be a free lootbag. You might as well have replaced the skill completely… as it serves no purpose anymore. Sword/dagger was far from being unbeatable… and now thanks to the latest nerf, Anet has made the sword/dagger completely unplayble. Guess the only thing thieves have left now is Dagger/X. Enjoy all the perma blind builds… since that is the only thing thieves have left. (Until Anet just deletes the thief class cause everyone Q_Q) Thanks Anet. Way to make the game “balanced.” Way to take a balanced class ( although perma stealth was a bit much) and make it second rate. Hope your issuing refunds for every thief that wasted their time getting Bolt.
As a player that doesn’t see the use of running 8+ charactures (leveling really is a chore) I spend a ton of time on individual ones, which means I max out pretty fast. As of now Im just sinking gold into 2 legendarys (lets be honest, until those things have different stats than exotics, there isnt any point to rush) but for the sake of it here are some ideas id love to see implimented:
UW and FoW (Underworld and Fissure of Woe)
These things were FREAKING AWESOME in gw1. I can’t begin to say how much time i spent in these two instances. To see these things back and revamped to meet gw2 standards would be absolutely amazing. You could also see this as a chance to introduce some new weapon/armor skins (lets be honest[again] there are far to many people running around in the same armor.)
Bigger, Better, and Harder dungeons
Can we please get some new dungeons? Some that are of emense size and that can be ran with more than 5 people? While the Guild Missions are awesome in all there glory, it would be even better to see some actual dungeons… maybe with different floors or even a difficulty setting? (You could even add even more titles for completions and such… and new armor/weapons)
PvP
While I sorta like PvP, it needs a little change. An addition of some larger PvP maps for more people would be nice. Im not saying go all WvW on the PvP aspect of the game… but some 15v15 action on some maps that aren’t build for 5v5 would be nice. Maybe actually seperate CTF from Domination?
Titles
Im not really sure what happened in the transition between gw1 and 2, but the amount of titles that we could work toward went in the trash. The ones we do have, at least the ones that are of any actual effort, are ridiculous. (IE the WvW titles. Im not sure ill ever use 2.5m supplys [10 at a time] to ever build/repair anything ever.) Maybe some racial titles or an addition of area hardmode for the vanquishing title tracks? Survivor would be a nice one to see again (but make that **** harder than it currently is) Divide out the explorer title so that there is some kind of milestones.
As far as that Legendary Collector achievement track, there really should be a title for that… seriously.
