Thanks for the fights and sorry we never committed to an outright brawl but we had the outnumbered buff half the day.

So long as you had fun, that’s all that matters. I think there is too much emphasis on winning and being the best. That was always the beauty of Planetside to me, winning and losing battles was always fun since since we didn’t have to worry about winning the game. The more “competitive” they try and make WvW the worse the community will get, this always brings out the worst in people. Don’t take my word for it, go play LoL.

I know that I may sound like I’m making excuses, but it’s been mentioned countless times in this thread that the main commanders who pull the PPT for that timezone are currently unable to play at the moment..

Would it surprise you if I said I know that Wrex is in the hospital or some other for some malady that prevents her from playing, meaning the main commander for IRON is out of commission for the time being? I am rather in the know of things, you just don’t know it.

As I pointed out in an earlier post, TC doesn’t go ballistic when they lose, which makes me certain they’ll be humble if they win.

TC are an awesome server. As i pointed out in the last thread, they kept a constant ~150ppt in the last match from start till end showing that they never gave up and tried their best throughout the week and there was never even a single QQ from them unlike a certain server we all know.

It seems TC is the most liked server, if I ever had to choose another server that’s where I would go, unless of course BG offered me 15k gold, which according to SoR they’re throwing away like candy.

Heh. 15k gold is a ton. Right now 1g gold costs about 25 cents when buying it legitimately through gems. So 15k gold would be $3,750 USD. I only wanted to add this to illustrate how ridiculous 15k gold is.

We don’t usually run from fights, if we do it’s to disengage and defend an objective. I know defending is still a new concept for some of the lower tiers so I won’t hold it against you for not knowing.

It amazes me how few people understand this. No, our 100 man zerg is not running from your 5 man party, you’re just not worth killing currently.

Match will be decided in week 6 actually, JQ vs SOR vs TC.

That’s assuming people even care about the first prize dolyak finisher, heh.

Am sure the achievement hounds on each server would love it but the seasoned longtime commanders and guilds of JQ / BG / SOR who showed up week after week, day after day for WvW long before any sort of carrots were in play could care less bro.

If SoR loses week 6 then BG still gets to decide who wins overall in week 7, only difference is that there won’t be a tie. If BG loses every match to SoR, but beats JQ then they can tie for first if they win week 7.

Sorry we couldn’t put up more of a fight for Garrison last night/this morning on TCBL. Some of us were pulling all-nighters to try and hold the line but we just didn’t have the numbers for a real drawn out, bloody, old-fashioned TC zombie apocalypse.

I really respect TC’s attitude and I wish more servers shared it. So far all I’ve seen from BG, SoR and JQ is boasting, name calling and cheating accusations. I guess Anet succeeded in creating some form of server pride, too bad it’s bringing out the worst in some people.

While this particular idea is flawed, we do need a way to get the actual leaders in WvW, all the zerglings are useless without some direction. First and foremost we need a queue that actually works properly, what we have right now is a time lottery, nothing more.

Sadly 2vs1 will never work with TC in the mix (no offence TC) but they’re not JQ and dont have the numbers to successfully 2vs1 all week. Can’t see TC falling for your tactic SoR, But you carry on trying to get TC on your side SoR while you take their stuff LOL

It’s quite remarkable to see what happens when papa JQ isnt holding your hand against us. All BG is good for is their naievety in thinking that they can win this thing, when all along the reason they won last matchup is due to JQ realizing we’re the bigger threat than you.

They feel they have something to prove this week, it’s hard for some of them to get over a defeat. All the animosity is unnecessary and counterproductive, the more we hate each other the easier it will be for JQ in week 7.

IRON on SoR offering gold to TC if they help double team BG garrison? lol what?

I would prefer the scoring system to be behind the scenes and slightly skewed by population, perhaps objective point value is modified by map population. I play a lot of Planetside 2, which is similar to WvW, and “winning” is the last thing on my mind. I love being in big fights and taking bases or being part of small squad assaulting towers to help the main force get a foothold. In GW2 if you’re not part of the main zerg you’re weakening the server. They’re trying to make WvW into more of a competition, which brings out the worst in people. If you don’t play the right way you get harassed, kind of like LoL.

Why is it that the company that made NGE can somehow make a better 3 way warfare game than a company that had made one of the best pvp games?

Those of you complaining about 2v1 need to understand that it’s the entire point of having 3 servers instead of 2. Want a fair fight, go to sPvP, want to fight 2 servers go to WvW. Anet put a target on JQ’s back by giving them the easiest schedule, if you want to be mad, be mad at them. Every server gets to be on the receiving end of a 2v1 situation at some point, I distinctly remember JQ trying to stop BG outside of their keep so that SoR could take SMC. But only JQ get’s 2v1, right?

But…but guys, we got the league, bloodlust and metrics…guys?

Sorry, but coming from someone on TC; this schedule is great. Mag, SoS and TC have no shot at winning the gold league, however the servers that many have rushed to in hopes of winning, which in affect is destroying lower tiers while guilds mass transfer off of them (“for better fights”) now find out that they stacked to these servers for no reason. I salute you Anet!

Anet were the ones who encouraged them to transfer in the first place.

It’s a good thing Kaide switched when he did, his leadership on DB has allowed Blackgate to take the lead. I congratulate you sir, it’s not often someone snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.

I really feel sorry for Dragonbrand, by reading this thread you should already realize that nobody on BG misses Kaide. He does nothing but insult anybody else that leads, or that supports those leaders. I had to swap maps after he wouldn’t stop spamming chat about Choco taking “his army”.

Kaide, you may not like Blackgate and you think we’re losers or whatever, but what do you think will happen next week when you go up against JQ or ET? No offence to DB, but you’re going to lose that match, and Kaide will be there saying that the established guilds are the reason you lost and that if you listened to him he would have single-handedly led the entire server to victory.

The only one I know of is the Invaders Greatsword from the vendor in WvW. You can get a rare one for karma, but if you want the exotic it costs ~300 badges of honor.
