Upset? you betcha. I’ve been going through this for a long time now and I like others either get no response or unhelpful ones so I don’t apologize or regret what I said. I had proven to them that this was not a packet loss or a time out error, yet they would only repeat for me to install yet another useless piece of software that scans for packet losses. And you have reported 4 different times? LOL that’s a fraction of what I have attempted through reporting.
You keep trying though…. best of luck to you on getting help or results.

If you read above, you will see you can bug through it. Just as you enter final area, stay just at the entrance and range attack. The boss will not move or come after you. You can stand there and afk attack at range if you want.
I HATE the fact that we have to exploit bugs in mission to get through them because of Anet’s total lack of fixing this or even total ignorance in their tech support or GM responses. I got absolutely NO help from them at all. The ONLY thing they did was try to prove to me that it was packet loss causing the issue. I didn’t know whether to get angrier or laugh at the fact that someone which such little knowledge is actually who we have to go to for help.
After years on this game, I can honestly say that the biggest downfall to it is the complete uncaring attitude that Anet has towards it’s customers.
There are bugs in this game that still exist from release. Bugs that they don’t even attempt to fix.
Sad part is not that people are using a bug to get passed this………It’s that they even have to. I love this game, but I’ve never found a more useless group than Anet tech support. Not once have I known them to fix a problem. If I’ve had one, I had to research it and fix it myself. Tickets are pointless other than to listen to them ask you to put useless software on your system to check for things that are not related to the problem to begin with.
I had this same prblem AGAIN and had to use the bug to get passed it after attempting 3 times until I got sick of it.
At this point I am trying not to through my hands up and it’s getting harder lol.
I enjoy this character a great deal and don’t want to end up with a dead end and unplayable story line.
I have been speaking back and forth with Tech and they are trying. Problem is they tend to want to go through all the automatic scripted responses. This is the only cutscene that has triggered this problem. I have had some random disconnects while play like so many other people, but it’s few and far between.
This however is repeatable. Every time I run this mission (7 times now), at that same instant right after Rytlock jumps in after his sword, I disconnect.
There is no option to bypass this cinematic.
I have check on packet loss and while connected to ncsoft servers, there were none.
I’m running on Xfinity with no secondary router, so IGMP or Port scanning is not an issue.
I even completely turned off the firewall in the modem to allow all ports and still have the same problem.
I do not have this issue in any other mission or in any other cinematic or cut scenes.
I can’t skip it. No option to due to the fact that I disconnect instantly at that same point. I have repeated this 5 times now and all tech support wants to do is check to packet loss and time outs when that is NOT the issue. If it was, it would be happening in more than just that one exact spot every time. I have run all the tests. I have done full repair and tech refused to be of any use. I’ll end up being told “sorry…..nothing we can do”.
Sorry, but it’s just very irritating to have played this game for so long and never have problems. Then when I have one, I get crap for help from tech support. They seem to be moderately useless so far.
Asking if anyone else is having this problem.

So far submitting a ticket has served no use at all with the response that I got.
As of now, I am stuck and can not progress my storyline.
If anyone else experienced this, how did you get around it?
It’s starting to get very old. Just as I’m at the end of numerous VERY long missions, I disconnect. Of course, I have to repeat the entire mission again because this game doesn’t save the last spot you were in due to the disconnect.
Is anyone looking into this? It’s been going on for some time now.
City of Hope storyline bugged. Pass all 3 trials, get to end to leave trial area by picking up the egg, and stuck. Can not get out. Sucks about this game is there is no “in game” support who can speak with you live and help you out.
I really wish someone would do something about the Queensdale farming going on. While there is nothing wrong with a group of players killing the champs that respawn constantly, it’s getting completely out of hand. Unless you are with the “rotation” as it’s called, you get blasted by everyone because you killed a champ and they weren’t with you. If I have a group that can drop a champ that we see, then by all means, we will. I shouldn’t have to sit and wait for the wandering mob to get there before I can take it out. And that is being able to do it without having to listen to all of them cry like children because we didn’t wait for the “rotation”. This is a never ending problem happening in Queensdale. Day or night, it’s the same thing if you try to play in that area. People crying about others taking out champs without them sticking to what they say is the proper rotation. Worst of all, it’s usually a mob comprised of mostly 80’s killing easy champs to farm for materials or gear. Pretty sad actually. While others are playing new or low level characters and trying to enjoy the game, we have to listen to a bunch of kids cry over rotation because they want easy kills instead of actually playing the game for all it can be. Queensdale is quickly becoming an area that’s not even worth going to if you just want to enjoy playing. It’s become nothing more than a rotation of 5 champs for easy gear/xp/crafting material farming.
Not to mention he also blocks a great deal of your heals as well as see alot of your bluffs even when his buff is not up.
Adnul spams his buff LONG before he reaches 50%. I have done this more times than I can even begin to count. I’m praying that this is a bug because this guy is flippin impossible lol. He is spamming when he is nearly full hp.
