No, they’ve to path around just like any other AI. If there isn’t a path to reach you or they’re too far away they’ll just teleport to you.
The AI is a bit wonky, but yeah it’s completely viable. I run full soldier on my MM necro and it’s an absolute blast. Sure some people destroy me and others it takes 3 people to take me down, but I can’t expect to win each and every fight as some people are just better than me.
It’s funny you say all this. My solider MM bunker necromancer is constantly killing warriors. I really only have trouble with elementalist or a skilled mesmer. No one else poses much of a threat. In fact I dropped a warrior and thief at the same time .Then the warrior again and a guardian at same time just yesterday. I held their home point the entire match; none on their team could kill me 1v1 or 2v1.
I’m just throwing this out there, but maybe you are just no good as a necromancer? Maybe warrior is the class for you instead?
They could make F2 attack, F3 defend, and F4 passive. In addition to making the golem swim. This would go a long way to improve MM as I can much better micro-manage them like I’d want to.

I care about minions.
What is the purpose of this topic? You want them to remove minions? I don’t get it. How is this even remotely beneficial. Do you expect every aspect of every class to be appealing to you? I sure don’t, because that’s unrealistic so congratulations, you don’t like 1 of the 4 skill sets. I don’t like corruption or wells since we’re sharing.
Can we please also get some better underwater elites. We have 1. Just 1. All of my minions can swim, but my flesh golem apparently drowns. Please teach my golem to swim.
Never tried solider with wells. Seams like you’re trying to do some strange condition, power, bunker hybrid. I don’t recommend running soldiers with anything but MM. The below is what I run.
I’m able to put out plenty of damage in addition to surviving. It’s fine for the minions to pop to a zerg as they’ll just detonate novas on themselves.
If you don’t want minions you should probably go for Dire or Rabid and just do a condition bunker.
I’ve been running MM soldier for a bit now. It’s my absolute favorite build and class thus far.
The issue you’re having is you are only half using them. Not once do you command them. They all have offensive abilities that you never bothered to use. Command the shadow fiend to attack and the other minions will follow his lead. You can stagger the commands to get them all to focus as needed. The bone minions tend to stick close to you to allow for easy exploding. You can also cause them to focus with #1 triple tap.
Minions are not summon and forget. That’s not how they work.
Loving my bunker minion build. I use close to that build with a few adjustments and I also run full Soldier.
MoB gives regeneration.. neither of the skills you linked do. You’re not taking into account the utility, which is the purpose of Staff to begin with.
Oh, that’s very good news. Thank you. For some reason I was thinking the profession reset to 0 if you changed it.
I was kind of put off when I realized I couldn’t purchase professions beyond 4. I was really hoping to have all professions on a single character. It really sucks to have the spend more karma, gold, etc.. than I should have to due to recipe unlocks. I guess another solution is make the recipe unlocks account wide, but I’d prefer to just have all professions on a single character (I have no issue purchasing the upgrades).
Is there any chance this limit can be removed or as to why there is a limit to begin with? It really sucks for someone who really enjoys crafting and I find the crafting in this game quite fun.
I’d like to have rifles, but I’d also like to have a new weapon type: Crossbows.
The only weapon I like with my Ranger is shortbow. I don’t like long bow due to the shot distance damage variance.. speed doesn’t bother me, but maybe this can be solved by making pets hold aggro (I’m already in full berserkers, why are enemies coming after me!).
