What was Yaks big picture strategy? I didn’t see much of an attempt to hold TC back once they took the lead on Sunday….yes their points are harder to take….they are the server with the highest rating, and larger population so of course they are going to be…knocking the #1 off isn’t ever going to be the easier target (they are generally #1 for a reason).

I fully agree though that FA overall could do much better at strat/coordination and picking targets. We’ve been beat by both your servers in the past iirc.

When you are the “red” team. You take shots where you can get them. You wait for orange swords a lot of the time. Tell me to slow down if you are having trouble following. Many FA have said they are aggresive and are the attackers>defenders. When we see FA attacking TC towers/supply. This is where it gets crazy. We hit a poorly defended/upgraded FA tower vs an upgraded TC tower. Just my thoughts

This fight has been great. If you have ever read anything about Yak’s Bend. You would know how strong our weekend force is. We usually jump ahead the first two days. If our enemy does not fold monday morning. They have a very good chance at catching us. With that said, we get bored of being 100k ahead.. A large secret that I might get in trouble for. Possibly banned and shunned from the server. in a whispering voice …there are some of us that play reset friday 7pm cst – ??… you know what ?? means… its till we pass out. That is right. We play past our NA time cause its the freakin weekend and we bout to have some fun…That makes our foes think that we have a night presence and if they have none we usually keep it for our morning crew to clean up what we couldn’t hold.

Shout out to PRO, GODS. You keep the pain coming.. sorry only two guilds I have run into in force.(I havn’t played since monday)

I’m enjoying some of the big fights we’re having but please don’t claim Yak’s improvement is due to tactics and better organisation learned through weeks of playing.

5 weeks ago Yak’s played Maguuma and lost to them (a team that FA seems to beat each time we play).

3 weeks ago YB was ranked 15 and played Gates of Madness. Score was 101k to 58k.

2 weeks ago YB was ranked 16 and played Gate of Madness (again). Score this time was 552k vs 37k.

The next week YB was ranked 11 (and massive jump of +5 ranks).

Somewhere between 2 and 3 weeks ago Yak’s Bend had so many new players transfer to their server that they jumped from rank 16 to rank 11 in one match. That’s not due to gradually improving through learning and tactics.

From what I understand over the last few weeks the four servers people have been stacking and bandwagoning were BG, SoR, SoS and Yak’s Bend (although from what I hear people are now leaving BG).

I’m not trying to insult Yak’s Bend, but to say your WvW population is the same as FA and you are doing better because you’ve been gradually improving over time is just wrong. The stats clearly show that’s not the case.

Yaks Bend has been a tier5-tier4 server since the 1 weeks, even when we were less organized. We got pushed into a tier6 at the same time DB, ET, and HoD started falling. Thats one tier basically. We will now probably be a tier3- tier4 server.

One of the things I liked about Yaks the last time Maguuma played them was that even in the face of utter defeat they just kept coming back. Darkhaven currently reminds me of old Yaks Bend. You can outsmart them and outplay them but it never seems to phase them. They keep coming back. I sometimes wish we had more players on Maguuma like that – who feel all they need to do is hold out until the tide turns – however long that takes.

But I’m really curious to know how Yaks is doing what they are doing right now. I don’t recognize the server anymore. Its like they have become…HUGE?

I believe we are like this for a few reasons. A month ago we were not as organized when we played against you. If I remember we did not have set borderlands. We could end up with all the large force guilds on one map. We have commanders that pugs will actually follow and listen to(Great job guys). We improved our communication across all guilds. We faced larger servers and learned from our mistakes and triumphs. Non stop push.(That failed. Good effort. Supply up we are hitting them before they can recover). Very rarely does anyone take supply from towers! Finally I believe some of our PVE players have gotten the taste for blood. I am sure we have gotten some guilds(insert your plugs below Yaks!). We are a machine that was just lacking oil at the time we played you.

I use this site to keep track of moves. It only works if the guilds want it to be known they move and only shows the past 50. Plus it is clogged with new register guilds.

I am on Yak’s Bend. I have found since Sunday morning that a majority of the people running around on Yak’s right now are PvE players or clueless. They are looking for map completion and easy kills. I have watched players follow the bots so they can get exp/coin ugh. Please kill them all if possible. I will even revive them one by one so you can just keep killing them heh. I see names in chat that I have never seen before screaming “huge zerg inc to xxx” to run over and find a group. Players dieing because they don’t know how to get inside a tower with a gate up. “Is tower xxx bugged? ….no….then why is there no waypoint to it?” Golems doing jumping puzzles. I am sorry you guys are having to deal with this. Shh… Don’t tell anyone but I sometimes jump on the siege equipment so they can’t use it to spawn camp. If I could just get a few more people on our server to hold them and not use them destroy away and enjoy my free badges.

JQ/Other transfers to SoR screwed us not for 1, or 2, but 3 weeks of a fun fight. They steam rolled us. We get dropped down and steam roll tier6. Next week when we are in tier 4 fighting a server that was just in tier3 we will hopefully be bumped back to tier5. Stay classy Yak’s and lets remember this is just a game.
